OlderSelena Gomez Joins Hollywood Records?
Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez may be following in the musical footsteps of fellow tween Disney star Miley Cyrus.
Hollywood Records, Miley’s music label, is reportedly out to sign Selena to a record deal.
“Hollywood Records really wants Selena,” a source reveals. “Nothing’s signed yet, but they’re going after her in a strong way.”
As reported earlier this week, the ratings for this past Sunday’s new Hannah Montana episode were down 24% from the previous fresh episode, which aired less than two months earlier, and down 33% from the first original show of the year in January, suggesting the show was on the decline before Miley’s Vanity Fair photo scandal.
Miley currently has a four-album deal with Hollywood Records. Her sophomore CD, Breakout, is set for a summer release.

i dont think the pictures had anything to do with the ratings drop…i think its because most people have no clue when “hannah montana” is going to air….they change days all the time and its not set to a regular schedule which makes it hard to know when there is going to be a new episode….well anyways i dont know if selena has a good voice(she probably does though) but hopefully her music will be really good!….oh and btw i am a miley and selena fan!!

Please everyone think before you talk. To be honest selena is a WAY better actress than Miley. She’s not replacing miley she has been around just as long as miley has the problem is all the idiots like you all who are so wraped around miley’s finger that you forgot she isn’t the only one on Disney Channel. Not to mention miley has an already famous family and Selena has been going through her career on her own.

Selena seems like a sweet, humble and down-to-earth girl who actually cares about her fans. She doesn’t deserve all this crap from you haters. UNLIKE Miley, Selena is a much better actress, she delivers her lines naturally and doesn’t exaggerate like the other Disney stars and she also has a pure beautiful singing voice. There’s a clip of her singing live on Youtube and she definitly has a good voice. And I must say that she’s very pretty and has a unique beauty to her.
I’m sick of all this “Miley vs. Selena” crap. these girls are two COMPLETELY different people, why bother comparing them? It’s ridiculous.
Hollywood Records is making a great choice here. Selena wants to be in a ROCK BAND, instead of going solo, like all the other Disney stars and that’s a cool, new, different thing for Disney Channel. So come on, give Selena a chance and STOP BEING SO DAMN HARSH ON HER! There is NOTHING to hate her about. Relax people, RELAX.
miley is amazing, NOBODY could ever be compared to her. Wow, They are nuts Selena’s voice is so fricking annoying, I don’t like her, nor her show, she’s always braging, adn come on is so obvious she wants to be the next Miley as much as her bff Demetria Lovato, who has a good voice , but still don’t like her that much, they both are hanging with JB, and soon, probably Selena would try to date one of them, and she can’t sing at all, and Miley does sing live, I agree on the fact that she needs some more training to sing live, but she has have quite some major live performances, and Sorry but SELENA is just plain annoying, I don’t really care if ppl thinks Miley is just famous because of ehr dad, cause seriously, kids didn’t even know who her dad was till the show.. and if she did get the part cause of her dad, then it must be him the one buying all of the Hannah Montana stuff at stores and getting her to the Billboard charts HOT 100

The people who are accusing Selena of trying to be like Miley are stupid! You guys are making up crazy stuff in your head, claiming that Selena is purposely trying to steal Miley’s fame and success. Please, STOP making complete fools of yourselves. She’s not Mikayla. Selena is nothing like that, she just enjoys acting/singing and doesn’t care about rich and fame. Also her personality is completely different from Miley. Selena is laid-back, classy and poised while Miley is crazy, hyper and obnoxious. There’s no way she’s a wannabe. Trust me, I’m a Selena expert, I’ve done my research, unlike you delusional Miley fans. Sooner or later, Miley will have to give her spotlight to Selena, just like Hilary gave Miley the spotlight.

And Miley is not being attcked for one little thing. Already this year she’s had three separate photo scandals as well as scandals over the parody vlog of Selena and Demi and the seatbelt thing.
In the end Selena’s show gets much higher rating than Miley’s but no one’s going to make you buy her album.

Selena Gomez as a Singer, People stop making fun of the girl to be hobest i think she will do fine, but she’s NO MILEY CYRUS, im sorry, but she does not have what it takes, miley will always be 10x better than her and just about 1000x ahead of her, and hello the ratings of the episode were down beacuse its been online for ages, i dont know if you people knew that but i watched on disneychannel.com like a week before it aired and others have seen it on youtube, so big deal, wizards sucks anyway =] sorry to say that but it does

These girl is annoying, I tought it was Vanessa for the poses , and then came up to face with her stupid face, she annoys the hell out of me, she tries to hard , and let’s be honest Barney is as scary as the teletuvies, both shows sucked, suck and always will, Selena is a bad singer, Miley is not pretty, but entertains, is not trying too hard to be a perfect girl cause she knows that is not posible.. and about signing with Hollywood, that would be her worse decision ever, Hope Miley’s deal ends soon so she can sign with a better label..
and about the ratings down well my sis is watched the episode about 60x on youtube since months ago… it has nothing to do with the fact that the show is getting boring, or such, my sis loves it.. so yeah wathever and Selena Gomez, I don’t really see her, I like Emily Osment better , she has way a better voice and it’s prettier
