OlderSelena Gomez Joins Hollywood Records?
Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez may be following in the musical footsteps of fellow tween Disney star Miley Cyrus.
Hollywood Records, Miley’s music label, is reportedly out to sign Selena to a record deal.
“Hollywood Records really wants Selena,” a source reveals. “Nothing’s signed yet, but they’re going after her in a strong way.”
As reported earlier this week, the ratings for this past Sunday’s new Hannah Montana episode were down 24% from the previous fresh episode, which aired less than two months earlier, and down 33% from the first original show of the year in January, suggesting the show was on the decline before Miley’s Vanity Fair photo scandal.
Miley currently has a four-album deal with Hollywood Records. Her sophomore CD, Breakout, is set for a summer release.

Well I guess they are too desperate to get more money… I don’t like this girl her voice is stupid her voice is not that good, There’s lots of other better stars in Disney Channel, that are way more talented, like Emily Osment, Cody Linley, I bet Brenda song could sing better than her.. her show is bout nothing, just another Harry Potter based show, wow, just what we needed.. the disney company is getting really anoyin, this girl is always bragin, and is rude.. when they anounced Miley at the DC games everyone was cheering and she had her abnoxious face on… seriously is like she’s jelous or too competitive and as for her “next big thing” BFF, they both can go back to Puerto Rico and stayed there, they are both stupid, at least Demi is a good singer.. who knows what to do not to get hate on… let’s say date a boy, so they stop thinking you like Joe Jonas even if it’s true and you have a masive crush on him.. this girls suck wouldn’t get her album even if it was free
and it’s true about the HM episode from sunday it was on Youtube for months before the premiere, and my sisters have watched many times before , and it was also the day before 5 de mayo, and many families went out of town 2
i love miley and selena, and i think this will really be great for selena because she loves to sing.

I’m a fan of Selena. But superstars like Miley don’t come around everyday.
Miley is pretty much a legend.. everything she touches turns to gold. Although Selena is cute, and talented, she just won’t reach that level.
People need to RELAX. This isn’t Miley vs. Selena. There is room for both!!
Support who you want to, or both, but be MATURE about it and stop trashing either of them.

Miley is Miley, Selena is Selena.. both very different. One isnt trying to be the other. They both have very different careers.
Miley is no “legend”. Her singing sounds like a growing male teenager in puberty and her acting is so exaggerated and unrealistic. She only became famous because of Hannah Montana while Selena Gomez made it on her own. Once Hannah Montana is cancelled, Miley will become a one hit wonder, just like her untalented father.
The truth is, none of you people know Selena and how she’s like in person, therefore, you have nothing bad to say about her! I think Selena seems like a sweet person and she’s a natural actress with a pure singing voice.

OK, Miley may be a mega superstar, but it’s not because of her singing. Her little fans don’t know the difference between singing good and singing bad. Miley definitly sings bad. Besides, I think Miley became famous WAY TOO FAST and knowing Hollywood, she will lose it just as fast.
Selena has a soft, pure, beautiful voice. She doesn’t sound as husky, raspy and deep as Miley, which is a VERY good thing.
I heard Selena is gonna be in a band. So why compare a solo pop star (Miley) with the lead singer in a rock band (Selena)? They’re both in a different category.

So I Love Baby V, and I listen a lot of mileys song (they are great), and I know that I will not buy her album…(not now and no in the future)
I think Miley fans are freaking out for no reason. First of all, Miley isn’t even that great. Her singing is ok, but her acting is attrocious, and she’s proved over and over again that she is NOT a good role model. She’s been overexposed and for some reason, people believe she is God’s great gift to Earth when she really is not.
As for Selena, well, we’ll see what happens with her. I’ve heard her song once and it wasn’t that bad. I think she’d be a good rock artist. I’ve never watched her show, but I’ve seen commercials and she seems like a pretty natural actress. She’s not that bad looking either, and I hear her show is doing pretty well.

I think Selena is a natural beautiful girl, I think she should just stick to acting. I also think she should do more films that dont include the Disney label. She could do so much much and better than those little annoying disney girls such as Miley and Hudgens.
They will both be typecasted for portraying high schoolers for the rest of their young lives. Selena should move on to more in depth and meaningful genre types of films instead of g rated disney movies, leave those pathetic roles to Vanessa, Miley and big nose Tisdale. I just think she should stay away from singing and focus more on the craft of acting. I know she will be a great actress.
Miley and V Hudgens seems to desprite to be grown up and sexy by posing nude and everything, which is silly and no one takes them seriously as actresses, it’s not like their goning to win a Oscar anytime soon (at all I mean). Selena is young and new to the buisness she still can make a name for herself and be something new instead of all the generic dufus teenage valley girls that roam hollywood now in days. To me she seems to be a breath of fresh air and unique, all she needs to do is make the right choices and she will do great.
