OlderSelena Gomez Joins Hollywood Records?
Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez may be following in the musical footsteps of fellow tween Disney star Miley Cyrus.
Hollywood Records, Miley’s music label, is reportedly out to sign Selena to a record deal.
“Hollywood Records really wants Selena,” a source reveals. “Nothing’s signed yet, but they’re going after her in a strong way.”
As reported earlier this week, the ratings for this past Sunday’s new Hannah Montana episode were down 24% from the previous fresh episode, which aired less than two months earlier, and down 33% from the first original show of the year in January, suggesting the show was on the decline before Miley’s Vanity Fair photo scandal.
Miley currently has a four-album deal with Hollywood Records. Her sophomore CD, Breakout, is set for a summer release.

To be truthful i dont even think that miley cyrus can dance(acorrding to her dance comp video)act(according to hannah montana or for that matter sing(acording to past song and her new song”& things”+i would like it if someone else sang it

Personally, I think it is great that Selena is doing a great job.
It’s not really her fault. It’s Disney who acts that way.
Selena’s just doing her job that she’s getting paid for.
I really do feel bad for Miley, cuz I support her 100%, as well as Selena.
It’s terrible that Miley is losing attention and support from companies just because of one mistake, that wasn’t even her own fault.

UGGHHHH, just stop bashing on Selena, because both MILEY & SELENA are great role models, great singers, and actresses. So maybe Selena was on Barney - Miley was on Big Fish. They both started the same way, and they both have a great voice.
Miley has already make such a big mark on teen popstar history that anyone who could be bigger than her would be a god/godess.
And no one as little as out of the blue miss selena gomez can pull such a huge deed off. I am a fan of both these sucessfull stars but in a way Miley took such an impact on teen viewers in such little time just proves to us all that Miley has something in her that made every young veiwer in America love her. As amazing as how fast Miley became a wonder sad to say Selena comes off as someone just trying to be like Miley,trying to be the next big star as miley did succeed to do and if you think that isnt true if Selena does sign with Hollywood records that will prove it. Selena is a beautiful,bright actress but let us all really face the facts and think realisticly. It would take a true impact let us say greater than Jamie Lynn Spears’s suprising pregnatcy to make Selena such a big star. And besides all that Miley is about to release her new album ”Breakout” and she will once again be making millions, selling out concerts and be on major talk shows to talk about her new beggining. Miley has millions of fan sites all about her, hundreds of magazines with her face plastered on them, a billion dollars off merchandizing, a youtube show with her best friend and back-up dancer, mandy jiroux, and a official fansite that lets you know miley so close better than you could even if you knew her personally. Miley is big and took America by storm. Not to mention going to Europe at age 15 just to do a tour when so young and so early into her career. What has Selena done? Let us see. She has her own show ”Wizards of Waverly Place” and has made one music video of a song that was not even hers.And of course let us not forget her youtube show with best friend Demi Lavato. So think realisticly and line up the posibility for Selena being ”The Next Miley Cyrus”.

Yea miley made mistakes but shez old enough to noe that its not cool to set bad examples to lil kids because she noes that her biggest fans are like 6-14. Hopefullly selena won’t be nothing liker her…
