Jenna Bush (in Oscar de la Renta) poses with her father, President George W. Bush, prior to her marriage to Henry Hager at the Bush family’s Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas on Saturday.
Jenna’s twin sister, Barbara, stood as Maid of Honor while Henry’s brother, John, stood as Best Man.
“This Mother’s Day weekend was awfully special for [my wife] Laura and me,” Bush said at an airport in Waco where he boarded Air Force One to return to Washington. “We’re mighty blessed.”
Bush even described the outdoor sunset wedding as “spectacular,” referred to his daughter as “our little girl Jenna” and called his new son-in-law a “really good guy.”
Also pictured below: Rev. Kirbyjohn Caldwell of the Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston and parents of the groom, John and Maggie Hager. (John Hager is the chairman of the Virginia Republican Party, a former lietenant governor of Virginia, and served in President Bush’s Education Department.)

With Mother Nature as a backdrop, I don’t think think Jenna ’s wedding could have made a more a beautiful statement . Her choices reveal a lot more substance than people give her credit for. Congratulations to the happy couple and to the Bush family on this joyous occasion.
She looks gorgeous! I love this girl. She really is an inspiration to so many young girls out there. She’s intelligent and is working on making a difference in the world. Having such a low key wedding really speaks volumes of her character. I wish her nothing but happiness!

Are you people blind? That dress is Oscar de la Renta, which means it cost a fortune and should make her look amazing. Not cute, sweet, or so happy, but absolutely, gorgeously amazing. Frankly, the designer is a bit too mature of her (doesn’t Laura Bush keep turning up in de la Renta beaded numbers?).
Tell the truth. The bride is a bit on the chunky side for a girl her age, and her husband looks like a chipmunk. Her father is the worst thing that ever happened to the United States.
If it were someone’s little cousin’s wedding pictures at the family camp, I’d say, “Oh, she looks so happy!” Since it’s Jenna Bush, and the media is making a fuss, I’m saying, “Oh, she looks so pudgy.”

after looking at some of these posts it is easy for me to say that if you can’t recognize the simple elegance and class of this wedding you are a tacky person who probably wore too many sequins and had mall salon hair at their own wedding. either that or you are so blinded by your ignorant hatred of our president that you will say anything unpleasant that you can think of just to lash out like an angry little sh*t. get over it because you sound miserable, gaudy and stupid.

I see nothing special about this wedding, to be honest. You’d think that, it being the president’s daughter, it would have been more of a big deal. Instead, more than half the country couldn’t give less of a sh*t. It’s kind of sad.
