Jenna Bush Wedding Pictures

Jenna Bush (in Oscar de la Renta) poses with her father, President George W. Bush, prior to her marriage to Henry Hager at the Bush family’s Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas on Saturday.

Jenna’s twin sister, Barbara, stood as Maid of Honor while Henry’s brother, John, stood as Best Man.

“This Mother’s Day weekend was awfully special for [my wife] Laura and me,” Bush said at an airport in Waco where he boarded Air Force One to return to Washington. “We’re mighty blessed.”

Bush even described the outdoor sunset wedding as “spectacular,” referred to his daughter as “our little girl Jenna” and called his new son-in-law a “really good guy.”

Also pictured below: Rev. Kirbyjohn Caldwell of the Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston and parents of the groom, John and Maggie Hager. (John Hager is the chairman of the Virginia Republican Party, a former lietenant governor of Virginia, and served in President Bush’s Education Department.)

“I can see why leaders of other countries were insulted when President Bush invited them to his “ranch” instead of a proper reception at the White House. Any dignitaries who were there where probably wondering if this was a joke or what”

Where did you see a guest list? It is very clear that with only 200 invited guests, leaders of other countries had no reason to be insulted because none of them were invited. This was a private family wedding just as the bride wished. Jenna is not in politics and had no reason to have a huge public wedding. Good on her for having the kind of wedding day that she and her new husband wanted. She has said that the home in Crawford has much more meaning to her than the White House does — she never has lived in the White House!

The wedding looks nice and Jenna looks pretty. All weddings should be like this. Simple and intimate.

She looks gorgeous! Best wishes to her!

Lovely, simple, and understated…a nice change from the “look at us” displays by some.

After reading comments here I can understand why they wanted it to be such a private affair. Good thing people don’t judge each and every one of us by what our parents have done.

While dozens of Iraqis die everyday along with the American soldiers who are killed and wounded, and while millions of Americans struggle to pay for gas to get to the jobs they may soon lose while struggling to feed their families, our very own Marie Antoinette has a showy wedding with fourteen bridesmaids. I have no respect for her and do not wish her well. She and her husband should enlist and help fight her father’s optional war instead of partying.

she is so ugly, and her sister is even uglier!! she looks 40 in her face..yuck!

bush=demon @ 05/11/2008 at 8:48 pm

the demon family, they have ruined so many people’s lives…have you looked at the death poll in Iraq lately?

Thanks for posting! I was hoping to see these - she looks very pretty

Whether you agree or disagree with the president, it’s at least nice to not say anything negative about his daughter’s wedding day. It’s a special time so be happy for her and her husband at least.

Congratulations to Jenna and Henry, they both look wonderful and it looked like a nice, simple ceremony. Good luck in the future together :)

I’m happy for her but her dad is the worst president in HISTORY!

I like Jenna alot and wish her the best life with her new husband. I’m adult enough to be able to separate my politics from situations that really have nothing to do with how I vote or don’t vote, and so it’s quite easy for me to celebrate what seems to have been a truly lovely moment in time for the Bush family.

Oh dear lord—–she married her FATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope no one gives or gave a sh*t about your wedding.

Aww, thanks. What a sweetie. :)

Look, I didn’t say that I don’t give a sh*t. I said that it’s sad that the country doesn’t really give a sh*t. Remember how huge it was when Princess Di and Charles got married in England? I’m just saying, it being the president’s daughter, you’d think it would be more of a big deal.

As for your political views…….pffftttt. Hahaha, I’m not even going to go there.

Love the picture of the couple in front of the minister. That is what love looks like. By the way, can this country please get over the myth of the Kennedys? Pretentious phonies and Jackie Kennedy was no beauty. She liked pretty things and pretty clothes. And she could wear them well because she was very thin. Because she smoked. A lot. Congratulations to her for an outstanding achievement! What else did any of them do? Their overall odious behavior outweighs any good they may have done .

Whatever her dad’s foolish mistakes are, her decision to have a simple, family centered wedding has to be admired.

I cringe to say anything nice about the bushies but… she looks really beautiful, very classy. At least she has taste, not wearing some garish wedding dress that so many tacky people wear.

And I guess I can’t blame her for her father (or grandfather). Either way, the dress, the hair, the semi-casual choice… all wonderful.

Pretty, congratulations to Pres. Bush’s family

Gorgeous pictures - thank you for showing them!

As he walked his beautiful daughter down the aisle, I hope President Bush spared a thought for all the young men who will never have that pleasure because they were sent to their deaths in a war that was started on the basis of his lies.

SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL AND MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

I hate them all. I hope her new husband is already cheating on her. I wonder if W is off the wagon? And I wonder how zonked Laura is?

I don’t like her dad,but she isn’t her father so i will cut her some slack. I like her dress and everything about her look. She looks really happy and hope she stays happy with her husband. Best wishes.
