Pax Jolie-Pitt: Is There a Doctor in the House?
Expectant actress Angelina Jolie takes her son Pax Thien, 4, for a check-up at the doctor’s office in Grasse, France on Sunday.
Afterwards, the mother-son pair picked up lunch (Happy Meals!) at a McDonalds drive-thru as both paparazzi and locals looked on. Check out the driveway–it says Drive McDrive!
Angie is scheduled to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this Thursday, May 15 for her new animated feature, Kung Fu Panda, and then on May 20 for Clint Eastwood’s Changeling.

Not that they show every meal they eat, but it seems like these kids eat an inordinate amount of ‘crap’. I do hope since Angelina says she can’t cook at all, that their cooks make these kids eat nutritious foods on a regular basis.

Since as you say they have people cooking for them, you have no idea what they eat. So sorry your mother didn’t buy you a treat or a Happy meal when you went to the Dr, or bought you chips on a walk. Is oxygen getting to your brain? LOL They wait at the entrance of the place they are staying and follow them in the car. There isn’t much money in taking pictures when they are not in the frame so the paps don’t waste film on those. They take the pics of them inside the car as that makes the money, dummy. Obviously, if they are in the drive through the target ‘Angelina and son’ is stationary and they can get up close pics.
And as a side note, there are probably more pics to this set but the ones Jared put up are those he decided to purchase.
They are both looking great and healthy…I see Paxman, got a haircut, finally…that little dude looks healthy and relaxed…man what a difference from a year ago…just wow!

Obviously, the little guy needed to go to the doctor. It’s not as if she’s frolicking on a beach or at a party alone without Brad or their other kids. As for the stop at Mickey D’s perhaps a treat to make him feel better was the drill. As a kid I HATED the doctor and loved doing something like that afterward as incentive to go. Surely, once they finished in the drive through they headed back to the family.

no need to get upset. I was just asking. And my question was actually about all celebrities. But for Paris Hilton, we can be sure that she calls the papz. I really don’t understand the “Angelina calls the paps everytime she leaves the house” comments. The paps are sitting outside of their house and knows when they leave. Then they follow them wherever they go. There aren’t more pictures because websites don’t buy every single available photo. Another website may have photographs of them leaving or maybe they are not interesting enough to buy.
I also find the “they eat too much junkfood” comments stupid. I’m assuming that people just want to attack Brad and Angelina when they say these things. I don’t think they or their kids eat anymore junkfood than the average person. Who goes to the movies or the park looking for a salad bar? I’m sure that if the average person had just a partial of their eating habits available to the public they wouldn’t be so quick to judge.

The sit-down dinner, arranged by Bono’s wife Ali Hewson, began with red wine at 10 p.m., according to staff, even before The Edge arrived for the evening. The meal was followed by a champagne toast and strawberry cake lit with candles; a staffer described the party as “tres speciale.”

New Orleans bucks the drawing boards

NEW ORLEANS - The style wars between the modernists, the traditionalists, and the free-thinking blobists were the farthest thing from Vernessa Rogers’ mind when she was asked to choose from a group of sleek house designs commissioned by actor/architecture buff Brad Pitt.
She just wanted her scattered brood reunited in a high-and-dry home on its old block in New Orleans’ flood-ravaged Lower Ninth Ward.
Rogers, a single mother of seven, knew picking the right house would be the most momentous decision of her 45 years, so she took her mother and sister along for counsel. They spent hours poring over renderings and floor plans that 13 of the world’s top architects had prepared for Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation.
When they compared notes, the women agreed that an edgy update on the traditional shotgun house by Philadelphia’s KieranTimberlake Associates worked best. It was a daring choice, but made for a most prosaic reason: This house had the most space.
Rogers’ practical decision will surely give no comfort to
the design world’s opposing camps, which have traded verbal spitballs over the form the new Gulf Coast architecture should take, modern or traditional.
Nor is she likely to appease New Orleans’ planning gurus, who question the wisdom of rebuilding low-lying areas such as the Ninth Ward. Her sole focus is getting her family out of its $2,000-a-month New Orleans rental and back to the property she owns at 1714 Tennessee St.
When Pitt conceived Make It Right last year, he saw it as a marriage of social responsibility and design - a way to redress the neglect of New Orleans’ storied African American Ninth Ward after Hurricane Katrina while showcasing cutting-edge architecture. But avant-garde designers will be chagrined to learn that most participating residents have gravitated to familiar-looking styles with peaked roofs and pastel exteriors.
Rogers is one of the few to opt for KieranTimberlake’s less conventional, asymmetrical concept. But that’s because she liked the way the designers fit three bedrooms plus a studio apartment into the drum-tight footprint of a typical New Orleans cottage.
“It has a nice high porch and a trellis,” Rogers swooned. “And it’s going to be a green house, and that will save me a lot of money on electricity.”
The fact that KieranTimberlake won this year’s gold medal from the American Institute of Architects, and that New York’s Museum of Modern Art will feature its work in an exhibition this summer, held little sway for Rogers.
So much for architectural star power.
For James Timberlake, Rogers’ enthusiasm is the next best thing. He feels validated that his firm remained faithful to its design philosophy and still appealed to local tastes. It helps that it cleverly offered residents both a flat roof - a hallmark of modernism - and a peaked one, in the form of an angled sunscreen over the roof deck.
“We went into the project feeling a contemporary house could represent history without being a pastiche,” Timberlake explained. “We’ve interpreted traditional elements,” like a lacy balcony railing.
From the start, it has been clear that the real supernova of the effort is Pitt, who is almost as famous for being an “architectural junkie” as for his relationship with Angelina Jolie. On his Web site, he speaks passionately about the “great injustice” of America’s response to Katrina.
“Make It Right is not about a handout, but it’s about a hand up,” Pitt says.
********Thanks to his high-wattage name, Pitt’s organization has raised money for 81 houses since the project went public in December. Construction of the first batch is due to start next month, and residents could move in by August. Pitt hopes to complete 150 homes in a compact four-street section of the Ninth Ward and eventually bring prices down to $150,000.**********

So they went to see the ob/gyn, not a doctor for Pax…and took Pax along for some one-on-one time with Mommy & Daddy just like they took Z on the helicopter ride.

Americans are unabashedly celebrity obsessed, following the ups and downs of every star with greedy devotion. One focus of our devotion is Angelina Jolie, whose adventures the proverbial “woman on the street” tracks more closely than the weather. And “especially in the case of Angelina” what’s wrong with that? In recent weeks, as she shared publicly about her current pregnancy for the first time, she also spoke up for the rights of children in Iraq. Julia Ward Howe would be delighted.
Julia Ward Howe was a suffragette and poet who, after witnessing the horrors of the Civil War, said one question haunted her. “Why do not the mothers of mankind interfere in these matters, to prevent the waste of that human life of which they alone bear and know the cost?” In 1870, she wrote a Mother’s Day Proclamation, calling women to unite on a day she named Mother’s Day, to protect our common global family.
Julia wrote, Arise, arise, all women who have hearts! but somewhere along the way, breakfast in bed eclipsed this fiery call to activism. But all is not lost! After decades of burnt toast and loving messages, mothers have been sufficiently fortified and are beginning to fulfill Julia’s vision. Mother’s Day is again becoming a holiday when we not only honor our mothers, but their role in shaping our world.
Our global family is at risk, yet often mothers “due to laws or societal norms” remain outside political circles. In a world in which every other child lives in poverty; almost half of all war causalities are children; and global warming threatens all future generations, the world needs mothers to interfere to get involved in creating policies that protect and nurture children.
Fortunately, mothers are stepping into new leadership roles in every country in the world, from Angelina Jolie saying, “Every child has a right to education, and conflict is not a reason to ignore that,” to Massouda Jalal, the first woman to run for President in Afghanistan, who works to educate all children, especially attending to the empowerment of girls. Writing in the 2008 Mothers Acting Up calendar, Massouda says, “My candidacy led the Afghan community to realize women can be leaders and led Afghan women to develop a political consciousness.”

New Orleans is a soup bowl. There were many rich areas such as Lakewood that flooded when the Levees broke. Many people in the Lower 9th ward have owned their land for generations. BP and MIR give their a chance to reclaim their homes. If the Corp of Engineers and the Local government would stop bankrupting and corrupting the City, then New Orleans can strive again. JMO. It was a positive article about MIR, However, where the poor are concerned and giving them a chance at decent eco sustainable housing, critics will come out the woodwork.

Gosh we used to live very near Grasse — lovely lovely area, the capital of perfumes. I love their perfumes a lot better than the usual designer ones, and miss them a lot. Happy Mother’s Day ladies…Hope you’re enjoying it…more rain here and the bottom is completely falling out/a concert of noises out there…tomorrow around this time, I’ll be wishing I had taken advantage and slept because sounds good on the window…sorry, I had to cut and run last night…something came up…hahaha
well ‘gah,’ we don’t know what they do 99% of the time, however we can go by what Angelina has said - she wants the best for her kids, and they stay at great hotels because they always have “fresh veggies and fresh water,” when they travel. We can assume they eat nutritiously because none of the kids are overweight , they are a nice size as are their parents, and what’s more they are happy, well-adjusted and hardly ever sick. Like most parents, they take their kids out to MickyD’s or to the corner store as a treat - let them get their fav snack and call it a day. You can choose to believe they eat fries for breakfast, lunch and dinner because your an ******* and you hate them - but you have to know you look ridiculously unhinged (BY THE WAY WE KNOW you ARE one nutjob posting under several different names - nice try though).
That said, you can take what Angelina says to the bank. That’s why I believe she’s a wonderful Mom with her kids best interest at heart.

As of last year Fragonard is sold in the US at a store called Takashimaya on Fifth Avenue. They have ready made fragrances though not like in Grasse where you can blend your own. You can blend youw own in NYC at any top boutique like Bergdorfs but it’s gonna cost ya. Fragonard has their own website and if you have the recipe for your fragrance, they will ship it to you.
I was swooning about the Angelina’s pastry shop on Rue Rivoli. I’ve been there and had their macaron and chocolat Africain. mmmmm yummy. If anyone is in Paris for the summer, stop by there for a bite to eat. Just make sure you aren’t an ugly American, please say BON JOUR or BON SOIR the minute you step in. It will make your experience there more enjoyable.

Yes the paps are getting bolder and closer and closer. These are the clearest pixs so far. The JP pixs are gold and everyone wants to get their pieces of 8. Shiloh and Z can be seen in some of these pixs walking around. Mad, Brad, and Angie are quite clear. Dam*!!!

Thanks a lot! Oh yes, Bergdorf’s and Takashimaya. I know both but didn’t know they carry Fragonard. Didn’t know about the online store either! Indeed it’s nicer to go to the Grasse store though. Unlike those in NYC they are so low key and more like a lab–in fact they are a ‘usine’ factory and has perfume museum. I really liked going there and in fact still using some cream based perfume I still cherish…
Speaking of Paris, I also love the Tea house called the Mariage Freres. I think I saw at Bergdorf’s but in Paris it’s a lot more accessible… There are so many of them in Tokyo and Paris, but not enough in NYC. If you love tea, try the one called Mariage Freres “EROS”.

Thanks JJ and Happy Mothers Day to all JP fans. France is two days ahead of us in the U.S. So this photo was not on Mothers Day. Different countries have a different date on Mother’s Day. In the Philippines, it is in the month of December, I think from what I remember. In Mexico, it is always May 10th, not the second Sunday in May. So I am assuming, since they are in France, it not Mothers Day there when this doctor’s visit happened. Also, Angie is pregnant and she wears clothes that are comfortable for her and not for fashion or for the paps or to have an approval from the fashionista. She is Angie, herself, not to be reviewed by anybody. She can do whatever style of hair she wants. She is not walking the red carpet yet promoting her film. I think in Cannes the set up is different. Remember the red carpet is like a square and only credentialed photographers are on the carpet, not paps. But these are not the coveted pix. Plus there are press conferences, photocalls, etc…The fact that Angelina is pregnant may limit her mobility not personally but on the advice of handlers. . She may just stand with her co-stars and wave. it’s not about her. only. It will be more organized. Now Venice, is another story…It was where that fan grabbed Brad so this year, they will probably go a different route. Do you think Brad will be there? According to some, either Angelina is about to give birth next month or by September.

The release of Valkyrie, which tells the story of the 1944 assassination plot against Hitler, was first postponed from this summer to the autumn and is now not expected to appear until next year.

“I know there have been all sorts of problems with this production and we will not be screening it at all this year.”

One critic in Hollywood has declared “Valkyrie is dead”, with another arguing that the film’s problems could also wreck the revival of UA.
Cruise, whose earlier career saw hit after hit with Top Gun, Rain Man and Jerry Maguire, is a stakeholder in UA, which was originally founded by Charlie Chaplin and other stars.
It has since passed through several different owners until Cruise relaunched it as a major studio in 2006.
Moving along in her pregnancy, Angelina Jolie spent Mother’s day having fun with Brad Pitt and the kids at the Maryland villa they’ve been calling home while staying in the South of France.

I agree Piper, I just can’t see them taking the kids to the premiere either especially in Cannes, but like you said we could be wrong, but I just don’t see it happening

As much as I don’t like posting rumors, the overwhelming response to Matthew McConaughey as Captain America has convinced me that it might be “fun” to run this one, too. I’m pretty sure I don’t believe this rumor for a second, like Marvel is just teasing us for the sake of building up some early buzz, but then again, who really knows? Our amigos over at Latino Review are reporting that Brad Pitt is one of the big names in the running for the role of Thor. No contracts have been signed, but it seems Marvel has their eyes set on Pitt as the hammer wielding Norse god of thunder.
As a refresher, Marvel announced last week their line-up through 2011, which not only included The Avengers, but also Thor in June of 2010. Originally Matthew Vaughn was attached to write and direct, but his contract ended in December. Although he could feasibly be brought back on, current speculation is that Marvel is searching for someone else to direct the adaptation. Mark Protosevich, of I Am Legend and Poseidon, recently finish a new draft of the screenplay for Thor which Marvel is currently trimming down to fit into their budget. Rumors were that Vaughn’s original idea was to set it in the time of the Vikings, but that wouldn’t work with Marvel’s plan to bring all of the superheros together in The Avengers in 2011.
In the Marvel universe, Thor was originally introduced in typical Norse mythology fashion, but as part of the modern Marvel universe and eventually The Avengers. He was first introduced in 1962 as created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby, the same three who would go on to create Iron Man the following year. Thor wields the mystical hammer Mjolnir and can control the weather as well as kick plenty of ass. In the Marvel announcement last week, it was mentioned that Thor would first be introduced in Iron Man 2, in some way, before going on to get his own movie.
We all know Brad Pitt and his acting abilities, but is he capable of handling a superhero character? The reference I hear the most when discussing this rumor is his performance as Achilles in Troy. Pitt does have the look and does have the strength, so I’d say he is much better fit than Matthew McConaughey as Captain America. But I still don’t believe someone as well-known and powerful as Pitt would take on a cheesy superhero like Thor. Maybe I’m wrong? What do you think?

I assume Angelina went to the ob/gyn for an ultra sound. Imagine how exciting it must be for Pax to see his brother or sister in utero, floating in that amniotic sac. I remember my first time I saw those ultra sound images and how detailed they were. I was amazed.
I guess Maddox have seen ultra sound images when Angelina was pregnant with Shiloh. I wonder if Angelina will take Zahara one of these days. Shiloh would be way too young to understand the significance of those ultra sound images.

The thought of Pax and Maddox in little tuxs is too cute to think about. Maybe little Adam Pearl could tag along too.
But if the JPs do take the kids, I think that the kids would be brought in through a private entrance. But deep down, I just can’t see them bringing the kids to the Cannes premiere.

I can’t really see them taking the kids to the premiere either. They’re doing their best to keep the kids out of the spotlight, so taking them to a premiere when there’s still so much focus on their family seems out of character. If this were 4 o 5 years down the line and interested had waned? Yeah, I can see them doing it, but not right now when the kids are so you and the interest so high.
I’m inclined to think that the kids will go to a private screening. Or maybe DreamWorks gave Angie a DVD so she could watch it at home.
Who was the flake that said Brad was in LA. Got you! Such a lie. Wonder if they thought the pic at Goff was him in LA. Such lies!

ROTFLMAO. Brad’s a little long in the tooth to play Thor. He’ll be 45 at the end of the year and I really can’t see him being interested in this. If he turned down Spiderman - he’s going to turn down Thor. Like he said - that’s not the kind of movie his fans want to see him in. And I can’t see him going back to 3 a days for 6 hours a day training to build the muscles for the role.

Angelina talked on Nightline about how she told Maddox about Shiloh, that is was a secret and the showed him the sonograms. Also, IIRC Angelina took Maddox to the Venice Film Festival for “Shark Tale” only on stage and he wasn’t so pleased. I think that was the time he looked distressed etc and covered his Mum’s eyes because he didn’t want her filmed anymore. He was just turned 3 years old.

And why is it so hard for you guys to take any negative criticism about these people…….. You say nobody knows that the kids eat a lot of junk food or anything like that because it is only “.1 percent of their daily life” well how do you guys know what they do in the other 99.9 percent????

We are absolutely certain that M. P, Z and S eat healthy meals most of the time and junk food is a treat, because they look good and healthy. We are also absolutely certain that BP and AJ are not ignorant parents, but smart ones who want the best for their kids.
If you don’t believe me, then all you can/should do is ignore them. I’m a big fan of AJ, and it doesn’t bother me at all to see her kids with packets of junk food. They are HER kids, and she is responsible for their health and wellbeing. Leave them to her. Stop this stupid criticizing. Stop meddling in their life! Mind your own business!
You can see me with a bag of potato chips very often too, but every day I make sure we eat mainly healty food, and in restaurants I’m good at selecting healthy dishes. So, seeing people with a packet of junk food doesn’t have to mean anything negative.
What is wrong with haters. So much nonsense. The kids eat too much junk food, AJ’s dresses are too long/not appropriate, Brad is fat, Shi is not normal, and the craziest of all, it’s a pillow, not a baby!

I love to catch up with the Jolie-Pitt news and photos, even though i feel bad at the voyeurism (I’m almost ashamed to say that i am 57yrs old - old enough to know better !!).
As parents, Brad and Angelina are so hands-on and subsequently so very occupied with their beautiful healthy children.
Little Shiloh often seems a tad distressed and anxious - and so I say to Angelina: ‘not to worry too much, my youngest daughter was like this, and very clingy and shy - perfectly normal for some children. The amount of love going around will ensure extremely well- balanced growth into a happy child/adulthood. (anyway, with teeth pushing through young gums - who wouldn’t be miserable at times ??)
Thank you Jolie Pitts for bringing so much happiness and goodwill into our planet.
