And yes, they were “discovered” on HSM, but have both moved on to other projects. ALL actors are discovered somewhere, so why is this so difficult for all of you to grasp??

Why can’t people enjoy a nice young couple who don’t act like trash, sleep with every other actor in Hollywood, and actually look like they enjoy being together??? The negative comments are just nuts. You people need to learn to be romantic again. This world has gotten too trashy,cynical, and rude for my taste!!

Why is everyone so OBSESSED with a disney couple? I mean sure they’re cute, famous and are ok actors. i don’t want to sound like a B****. But everyone’s like “OMG they KISSED!” or “Somebody plz plz plz post the video!!” I honestly don’t get what the big deal with them is. But i would have liked to see them together to see what the big deal is about.

I shouldn’t even dignify your comment with a response but I do not appreciate being called an idiot for expressing my opinion. I did nothing of the sort to any of you and I would appreciate the same respect being extended to me.

You’re right in that we don’t know what is going on, but along that same line, we don’t know what is real and what is being done as publicity to keep HSM and the Troy/Gabriella romance in the spotlight to generate buzz for the movie. I’m not saying that Zac and V aren’t in a relationship…once again we don’t truly know the extent of their feelings for each other or what goes on when the cameras are off. I’m saying that we need to realize that Disney is a powerful company that may have more control over the Zac/Vanessa relationship than what some people would like to think. Plain and simple, Disney is after $$$ and Zanessa and pictures of them, etc. is a huge moneymaker.

thank you, greatly appreciated yes, the haters are moronic; which is why most logical people are fans. well, besides most adults, since HSM isn’t really their thing. though, i’m starting to think otherwise. i’ve noticed a lot of the big posters here are adults. it’s happy to see people older than us (i’m assuming you’re not an adult, correct me if i’m wrong.) appreciate their talent, which they have. it’s always nice to see an older person idolize the same person/people you do. so I always welcome them. majority of the haters are adults who don’t like HSM & have nothing better to do.

Sarah, I gotta agree with you. Unless they break the HSM typecast they will always be known as ‘those people from HSM’. I think Zac already started to break it with Hairspray and will only continue to do so with 17 Again and Me and Orson Welles. It remains to be seen how the other cast members will overcome that typecast.

i don’t know who exactly you were directing to, but I’m guessing it was me. So here.

When I see something w/ zac on/in it I think “Zac Efron”. & when I saw Vanessa’s CD in stores I thought “Vanessa Hudgens”, which I will think again when I see her sophomore albums in stores. Not that guy or girl from HSM, as you’ve stated. I don’t give any credit of their talent & charisma to HSM, & I don’t think any one should. HSM didn’t make them, it discovered them. HSM didn’t teach them to act, sing, or dance. When will you get that into your head??

Why is your “opinion” ridiculous? Let’s start on how you supposedly stated a fact not an opinion. Writing their careers will end after HSM 3, is a statement not an opinion. Writing “it is true” just supports my point. Who are you to say their careers will end after HSM 3? Do you honestly think we are never going to see any of the cast again after HSM 3? & if you haven’t realised it yet, HSM 3 is going to make them even MORE popular, not less. Poor Zac and vanessa can’t go out on a normal date without people claiming they are putting on an act for Disney and HSM publicity.

If Zac and Vanessa are going out just for the sake of Disney and the HSM franchise, I highly doubt Disney would let almost 3 months go by without pictures of them together. That hardly benefits their whole scheme don’t you think?

And yes zac and vanessa were on 2 different continents, but if you believe that disney can make them be together, then I am sure the all powerful house of mouse could make sure they were seen together at some point.

The only couples that disney can control are the ones on screen, off screen couples are off limits to them.
