OlderAmerica Ferrera Prepares Her Trek to New York City
America Ferrera drops by the Ed Sullivan Theatre for a taping of The Late Show With David Letterman on Thursday in New York City. Here’s what she had to say:
On having a little time off this summer: “Yeah, I have a couple weeks off. I’m preparing to move to New York City. The whole show is moving!”
On how NYC is going to accept Ugly Betty’s move to the Big Apple: “I’m excited. I’m a little nervous, too. New Yorkers are really cool and (laughs) I’m just a little nervous how they’re going to accept the show since we’ll be on the streets, blocking the way.”
On Lindsay Lohan being on the season finale next week: “(laughs) She was really wonderful. She was gracious and showed up on time. (laughs) No, really. I don’t mean to be smart or snide. She was really great and lovely. She’s going to be back for five episodes in the third season here in New York.”

she’s lost a lot of weight since “girls have curves” and sisterhood of the traveling pants.
She probably lost between 30-40lbs.
I stopped watching ugly betty since i found out she was a rabid clinton supporter.
I will no longer watch ugly betty, moving to ny is all about greed and leaves the crew and its families up ***** creek.
they have no loyalty to their crew so i have no loyalty to the show.
She’s so beautiful. I don’t watch Ugly Betty but she’s gorgeous off the show. This dress is beautiful too. It’s nice to see a star who knows how to dress to flatter their body.

Isn’t it a bit strange that the cast were willing to protest for the writers, but they weren’t for the 200 crew members losing their jobs? If anything, this seems likely to have a bigger impact.
Not to be rude but knowing anything about film, crew members such as grips and gaffers are a dime a dozen a writer who has been with the show keeping the theme and continuity stable is idealy important.
