Salma Hayek Does the Cannes Cannes
Salma Hayek heats up the red carpet in a jade-colored gown at the the premiere of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull during the 2008 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday in Cannes, southern France.
Indiana Jones has climbed a bit more to 74% on RottenTomatoes.com and is expected to stomp out all competition at the box office next weekend!

HI rien! Yes I admire the actresses who take on good roles, but it is true that many have to start doing whatever just to get a name or start being recognized in the industry. Madonna is one of them, and although I didn’t like some of her attitudes back when she was rebellious, I admire her a lot.
Someone was saying she is not latina, but true is that her Italian heritage has a lot in common with others in a cultural term. Women are expected to be more demure, in a somewhat masculine world. She overcame a lot, and became really succesful.
and in another topic. I really admire Asian culture and achievemnets, but nina is making me reconsider this!

Ah Hah!!! I knew her eyelashes were fake!!! The color she chose for her dress is beautiful for her skin tone BUT the design makes her look older. Guess she is like everyone else but she looks to be 45 to me. What is Salma doing at Cannes? - does she have a movie comong out or just being a personality. LOL - she does looks a bit like Frida!!!!!
She is a huge fan of Indiana jones, and got to be invited to the premiere in France, beside, her fiance is French, it makes sense. For Indy I’d go too and I have nothing to do with the movie!!

EVERYONE on camera uses fake eyelashes. It’s like stage makeup — everyone, even local news readers, male and female, use makeup. And the women use fake eyelashes unless they are in some podunk little town and don’t know how to take care of themselves.
Anyone on a red carpet, or on TV, will have fake eyelashes because they show up better than mascara alone and don’t run or smudge. Remember, people far away have to see them, and the camera is the same way — so makeup is exaggerated for these types of events.
I’m white. We need most of the illegals here in the Midwest. they work on farms, factories (egg candling, chicken slaughter, beef processors) hotels, restaurants, etc. I don’t see them taking jobs away from anybody. We only have about 4% unemployment in my state and if the illegals are all run off, we won’t have anybody to take their place doing these manual - labor jobs that are very hard work.
I see a lot of Spanish speaking people in our stores, they are all working hard, raising kids, paying rent and contributing a great deal to the total society. They just rounded up 300 or 400 at a meat processing plant here. Just watch the prices go up as the supply goes down until the plant can find replacement workers. I don’t know any white guys or gals that want these jobs.
She is beautiful… but her make up is exagerated.
