OlderDesperate Housewives Season Finale Shocker!

The last two minutes from Sunday’s season finale of Desperate Housewives flashed ahead five years, bringing about many changes on Wisteria Lane. Here’s a quick recap:
– Model-turned-mommy Gabby (Eva Longoria) appears to be raising two daughters. Juanita and Celia were seen playing with Gabby’s makeup and clothes.
– Bree (Marcia Cross) has a cookbook coming out and her son seems to be her agent. She and husband Orson are still together.
– Lynette (Felicity Huffman) is dealing with her juvenile delinquent sons.
– Katherine’s (Dana Delany) daughter Dylan is getting married.
– Susan (Teri Hatcher) has a new man in her life, played by Gale Harold.

Also, USA Today asked Eva Longoria about Kaila Say and Daniella Baltodano, who play Gabby and Carlos’ daughters.
She said, “They are adorable. But I’m not excited about working with children because I’m a really fast shooter. I like to get in and get out and go home to my husband, and children tend to slow that process down. But I am excited about the comedic opportunities.” Yikes!

Thanks for the update DIDI. In the UK, we are only a few eps behind the US so looking forward to the finale (even if I’m spoiled !)
Still waiting for Ugly Betty to start again here (we caught up with the US, but haven’t seen any post-strike eps yet). I’m looking forward to Private Practice too which starts very soon. Greys I’ve given up on - we are sooo far behind & Season 3 has so far been crap.
Meant to add - is Nicolette Sheridan returning as Edie ? Or has she been axed ?

I LOVE Gale Harold. Fell in love back in the “Queen As Folk” days.
I’m SO upset that he’s on this show because he’s a much better actor than this show deserves.
I haven’t watched in years and I watched the last 5 minutes and I said to myself, now I know why I don’t watch the show anymore.
Eva has two little daughters and has become a hausfrau?

Bree is still with Olsen??? WHY?
I can only hope there is an end game for this series. It has totally jumped the shark. Next year needs to be the last year.
Hold on now everyone, The show obviously is following a great formula for success. Do we really think that the writers would throw all that out the window for some “fresh start five years ahead”? I would really hope not. First of all Gabby can’t get pregnant, she would have to adopt and the chances of her adopting children as opposed to an infant are slim to none. Unless the children are products of an affair that Carlos may have had, or just friends of the family.
Second, five years from now Lynettes children will be barely old enough to drive. The twins are at most seven years old, which would make them 12, five years from now. This doesnt mean that they couldn’t steal a car, it just makes it extremely far fetched.
And what is with all the comments about the farting, and smelly butts, and hags? I really don’t get it.
The finale was great, but I don’t know what I think abou tthe possibility of the next season being 5 years ahead of now.
Oh, I have to say that I LOVED that the girls all came together for Katherine in the end and made sure that her husband’s friends on the police force finally knew that he was a psycho and they’d been wrong about him all along.
im glad that tom and lynette has finally done what needed to be done with kayla! but im shocked with the storyline with susan! like what happened to mike????? also im glad they finally told everyone what happend to dylan! ive been trying to guess that story since the beginning……i never guessed that was what happened
WTF? I didn’t expect those last two mintues to turn out like that. i was surprised. Best episode, so Does that meant that it wont be back for another season? I’m glad that gaby and carlos stayed together.
although it was aiight, i think that they left out some people, but maybe it was meant to end that way….who knows.
WHAT HAPPENED TO MIKE?
I think Mike left Susan because they found out that Maynard is Ian’s baby not his.

I/m guessing the only reason Danielle was on the show was to give birth to HER son Benjamin.
If they got rid of Mike, they suck. He was hot and amazing. Susan’s new man? Not so much.

the finale was really crazy although i’m a bit dissapointed that Eddie didnt appear at all throughout this episode

As I have been watching since the beginning i noticed that each finale always ends with something that has nothing to do with the upcoming season. SO DONT WORRY U GUYS..u can ditch the 5 year by pass..it was just something to keep us thinking and ready for next season. i gurantee next season is gonna be all of them waking up from a terrible dream. lol but who wouldnt be suprised that Susan would have a new man in the next five years. The way they wrote off Eddy was a mess. who’s gonna keep the spice stirring on the Lane now? Gabby and Carlos are probably gonna continue to rent out there house to some unusual person. Bree is definitely gonna remain stuck up annoyin ass bree. Lynette is still gonna have a battle with the kids. and about the new babies on the LANE..(Brees & Susans) where do the be when their moms are out and about all the time….next season is gonna be quite hard to match up to this one…alot of things went down this season…well i cant wait….

Response to Deadroses4U. You said you were glad that Carlos and Gaby stayed together. That may not necessarily be true, they didnt’ show him in that scene. She could have met up with some guy that already had kids. Or he could have left her and she’s a single parent of the two. Mike has to be dead because I can’t imagine her being able to be with someone else. She ended things with that one Dr. in season 2, because she still loved Mike, she couldnt’ continue with Ian because she still loved Mike, so after all that and having a child with Mike and marrying him, and supporting him through his drug habit, that he kicked, well thats just not enough for her, she decides she really doesn’t want Mike (one of the hottest guys I’ve ever seen) after all, i dont’ think so. Definitely not your run of the mill boring finales like some shows do, this one was unique, and not at all expected.
I think it will all be a dream. Unless the writers don’t have anything exciting to add
