OlderJanet Jackson Announces “Rock with U” Concert Tour
Janet Jackson announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday that after a 7-year hiatus, she’s returning to the stage for her “Rock with U” Concert Tour.
“I’m here to kick off my ‘Rock With U’ tour,” Janet shared. “Our first show is September 10. And I’ve set up a number for fans to call in and to leave what old/new songs you’d like to hear [at the concert]. The number’s 323-622-8139. Give me a call and let me know!”
The entire Ellen audience got two tickets each to Janet’s concert. SOOOOOOOOOOO JEALOUS!!!!!!!
Ellen also asked Janet if there’s going to be a Jackson 5 reunion. Janet was optimistic: “I hope so. I’ve been really pushing my brothers and having conference calls and working on it.”

I have loved you and your music since Good Times and Penny days. You are the original soul sister for real on TV, Music and Tour as far as entertainment goes. The newbys to your music don’t know what we went through back in the day to get tickets for your shows. We had to camp out on concrete at the department store ticket center for tickets before the internet came into play. We all have come a long way. Take care and be blessed.

God’s honest truth…..I was there!!
I took a co-worker with me to ELLEN when Janet was there. We are now skeptical about these in audience giveaways. Yes, we did get gift certificates for Hanes underwear (which was $50 for use online - womens undies are pack of 6 for $8 and men’s undies are 2 for $20….go fig) anyway, we were told we would be getting two tickets each for Janet’s tour as she said…..however today is 9/3/2008 and she will be in Oakland 9/13/2008 - still I have not received any tickets or information on how I am getting my tickets from the Ellen show. I feel that we were duped on this one and I am pissed!!!! I don’t know if Ellen’s peeps dropped the ball or Janet was just blowing smoke up our arses………very disappointed to say the least.
