Taylor Swift @ 2008 Country Music Awards

Rising country superstar Taylor Swift attends the 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday.

At the awards show, Taylor sang, “Should Have Said No,” as she got drenched in water. Check out the video here.

“I wrote this song by myself, and it literally took me just 20 minutes to write before we recorded it,” she says. “I was living every line in this song at the time. I wrote this song about a guy who cheated on me who shouldn’t have.”

The 18-year-old singer won for Top New Female vocalist and dedicated the ACM trophy to her mother.

#19, how can you say Swift’s recorded voice is more “real” than anyone’s when that thing has been so digitally corrected as to be laughable? I see more and more backlash against her as time goes by and she continues to sing like crap on awards shows. This will continue. Ashlee Simpson co-wrote all of her songs too. OoOoh.

I so agree. Taylor should stick to the studio. I cringe every time she sings live. She BUTCHERED Def Leppard’s Pour Some Sugar On Me. Beautiful young lady and a GREAT song writer. NOT a live singer.

Taylor Swift CAN’T SING! OPEN YOUR EARS PEOPLE.
To beat Martina? Carrie? Reba? Give me a break. These ladies can sing.
Nothing Taylor sings even comes close to Country music. It’s POP Music. I don’t even think she would make it through an audition of American Idol. I would like to know what Simon thinks of her so called talent.
I watched the CMA’s last night, and the only group that sounded close to Country was the Zac Brown band.
I had to fast forward through everyone else. They sucked!
Country Music has gone to the dogs. I might as well listen to Rock.

Taylor Swift beautiful!? Maybe if they had given her smaller veneers. Her teeth are so big, they distort her mouth. She has a hard time even closing her lips.
She must have the same dentist as Leanne Rymes.
