Angelina Jolie glows in Reem Acra with her main man Brad Pitt by her side at the Changeling premiere at the Palais des Festivals during the 2008 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday in Cannes, France.

Reviews for Changeling have been really positive! Says The Hollywood Reporter, “Jolie puts on a powerful emotional display as a tenacious woman who gathers strength from the forces that oppose her. She reminds us that there is nothing so fierce as a mother protecting her cub.”
Adds Variety, “But impressive as [Jolie] may have been as the wife of Danny Pearl, her performance here hits home more directly due to the lack of affectation — no accent, frizzed hair or darkened complexion, and no attempt to consciously rein in emotion. ”

clint better watch his back! kissing on the lips is not the normal…its kissing on each cheek!!!! she/both know exactly what they are doing. perhaps angie miss being with and kissing a woman. this will just start her up again!!!!! poor thing.
There are some really dumb (yes I said it dumb) people on this thread. Clint gave her a kiss on the lips and so did Clints wife. They obviously think a lot of Angie and for those who find something obscene in that, you need therapy. People that know Angie really care a lot about her.

I swear Angie gets more beautiful by the minute, and, BIGGER too!!!!! That bump looks like it has grown since yesterday’s pics.
Some posters here are too stupid to realize that they expose their general lack of education, in that a kiss on the lips between men and also between women, is a simple greeting between good friends and family in most cultures. Crazy peasants!!!

Could you request that those who place links in threads that in reality do not pertain TO the thread please make it known. I’ve made the assumption that they were about the JP’s only to learn (to late) that they are really adverts for something else entirely. I clicked on one and had a heck of a time getting free from it. Sorry for not having esp and assuming that it is about the JP’s before entering.

How about you STFU? lack of sofistication? In France, you usually kiss your boyfriend like that. So yeah, when I came here it was a little surprising to see that Americans casually kiss anybody like that. Nothing wrong with it, I just haven’t gotten used to it and still wouldn’t kiss my friends like that, hence the “not really” on my part. It’s not really normal for me. MY opinion. But like I said, if it’s how they greet each other, who cares it’s no big deal! I don’t have a problem with it, oh sofisticated one! :roll:

Hello Vee–yes I was watching the live cam! Eventhough it was raining and she is pregnant with twins they still went to the fans and signed autographs. I also loved how Brad was holding the umbrella :lol: I think they are going to change the name but according to Clint from the press cnof they haven’t decided yet…

Jolie pays tribute to late mother
Jolie (l) called Eastwood an “amazing” director to work for
Angelina Jolie has said her role as a single mother whose son goes missing in Clint Eastwood’s film Changeling let her “spend time” with her late mother.
Critics have praised the 1920s period drama, which is based on a true story.
Jolie and Eastwood are at the Cannes Film Festival, where Changeling is up for the prestigious Palme d’Or.
The actress, who is pregnant with twins, said it “was a way to kind of revisit my mother after (her) passing”.
Jolie’s mother, who died last year, was “very sweet,” she added. “But when it came to her children she was a lion.”
Variety called the film “emotionally powerful and stylistically sure-handed,” while Screen Daily said it boasted a “career-best” performance from its leading lady.

Jolie, 32, said she could not “imagine anything worse” than losing a child and had tapped into her own “pain and frustration” in playing the role.
“Children in danger is about the highest form of drama you can have,” agreed Eastwood.
The veteran director, who turns 78 next week, was last in Cannes with 2003’s Mystic River, another film about a missing child.
Not winning the Palme d’Or on that occasion, however, did not deter him from competing for the award again.
“To play it out of competition is kind of playing it safe,” he said. “I’m not above it - I put it out there for what it is.”

Asked why he had not cast himself in the film, Eastwood said there was no suitable role for him.
“I’m gradually working my way round to spending more time behind the camera than in front,” he added.
The actor and director will introduce a special screening of his 1971 film Dirty Harry at the festival but denied he was considering reprising the central role.
“That rumour’s incorrect,” he joked. “Dirty Harry would not be in a police department at my age.”
Reviews editor of trade paper Screen Daily, Fionnuala Halligan, said she did not believe Eastwood would be taking home a prize from Cannes this year. “It didn’t feel like a Palme D’Or film to me, its more an Academy Award-type of film,” she told the BBC.

The highlight of today was seeing Angelina Jolie, no doubt. Believe all the rumours and the hype, the woman is beautiful, almost perfect like a doll. Pregnancy agrees with her. From a distance she seems warm, caring and attentive, maybe it’s the martenal instincts that make her radiate all that good energy. Then came old man Clint Eastwood who is just a charmer and still a favourite with the paparazzi.
Besides the celeb spotting I also got time to see some films. The Clint Eastwood directed Changeling aka The Exchange was a highlight. Set in the 1920s Los Angeles it stars Angelina Jolie as Christine Collins, a hardworking single mother who’s search for her lost nine-year-old son ends her up in a mental instution as the police cover up their inefficiency in dealing with her case. She emerges as a local hero as she fights on to unveil the truth about her child’s disapperance. It’s pretty intense and Jolie impresses in this demanding role, Eastwood has given her the Hilary Swank treatment in Million Dollar Baby and after seeing this one you’ll never see Angelina as Lara Croft. I’m not a movie buff but I bet you’ll hear more about this piece in the future.
