The cast of High School Musical 3 is here with a sneak peek at their new feature film!
Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman, Corbin Bleu and director/choreographer Kenny Ortega all talked with ABC’s Good Morning America on Tuesday.
Zac shared about coming into rehearsals a few weeks late because he was busy shooting another movie, Me and Orson Welles. Apparently he couldn’t keep up with girlfriend Vanessa: “It was tough catching up with everybody. Vanessa’s tough to keep up with, man. She’s really coordinated. It’s tough.”
But the entire cast seemed to have a hard time!
“I’m still hurting. We’re all kind of limping around,” Hudgens said.
“I think I grew a full shoe size. My feet are so swollen. It’s pretty bad, but it’s worth it,” added Coleman.
“Well, actually, the shoes are comfortable,” Tisdale said. “We had ballroom shoes on and everyone was wearing heels and everybody was like, ‘Argh, my feet hurt,’ and I’m like, ‘Mine are great!’”

The great thing about Just Jared is that you can share your thoughts and observations about Zac and Vanessa with other adults who do not think you must be absolutely crazy. My kids aren’t even interested in all the details - in fact my fourteen year old son just looked over my shoulder and shuddered “Oh my god, Mom, you actually found other adults who care about Zac and Vanessa . Really mom. You are so weird!” Busted.

You’re so right! I often use my 4-year old as an excuse to watch the HSM movies over and over again, since he likes them, too. In fact, just yesterday, my husband commented that I must be the only person over 13 who actually knows the movies word-for-word, song-for-song. However, he just read your comment and now I have proof that I’m not the only “weird” one (to quote your son)! Now I won’t have to use my son as a reason to put the movies on! Thanks for the help!

Both Vanessa and Ashley are beautiful in their own way and each have different quality’s that the public like I have to admit that I prefer Vanessa and even my daughter has said how beautiful she thinks Vanessa is, so as always everybody is entitled to their opnion.
It’s nice also to see Zac talk about Vanessa more and I just love how his face lights up when he does, reminds me of when my daughter’s boyfriend rings her he face lights up it’s lovely to see, her boyfriend went away for a week recently and she looked so sad it’s the first time a boy has affected her like that it’s so sweet to see young love in such a cynical world these day’s.
Loved to how Zac said that he was proud of Vanessa and she deserved it aww and again his face showed how much he meant it, there’s a saying that ‘ you can look but don’t touch’ when your in a relactionship so they’re both used to girls and mens going nuts over them but at the end of the day we’re only looking all the touching is kept between Zac and Vanessa.
Hey everyone of you Zanessa Fans,
Been up all not with my grand-daughter helping her finish her memories book that was due today. We have been working on this project for weeks. Her teacher hands out portions of the the do list at a time. She wants to be very creative so, guess what. Just call Granny…..It’s o.k. though we had some fun just being with each other.
Anyway, I said all this to say I will be signing off for the obvious reason.
Had to check in though on our favorite couple. Thanks for the videos from GMA, and interviews from Extra about HSM3. It’s so good to see the gang again. I was so glad to here Zac , when he was asked about everyone looking at his girl, his eyes lit up and a great big smile as he as says she deserves it. Also, Vanessa on her boyfriend, she said girls scream at him to. You can tell that they are definitely comfortable with others knowing their a couple and you can tell they love and enjoy being with each other.
Go all the cast of HSM3 and all of our Senior Class. Can’t wait for the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean about Zac his face literally lights up when he talks about Vanessa and it’s nice to see that it look’s like he’s getting more comfortable about being a bit more open about his relactionship with Vanessa but while still keeping the main things between them, loved it when he said that he was ‘proud’ of her and it really shows in his face.
And by the look at it on one of the videos I think it’s the extra one it look’s like Vanessa has her ring on, so I’ve a feeling like Karen as said we will seeZac’s ring again and even if he has lost it I’m sure that he would be able to get another one, after all they got them for each other so I would imagin e they have a lot of meaning for them and it’s nice to see Vanessa wear’s her I’m sure it will return ( Zac’s)

welcome to the cougar contingent as i refer to it. i know i’m in big trouble b/c my kids are starting to get a little bored with HSM, but not me.
i loved these interviews, and zac’s responses about V are just totally adorable, and i can’t believe there are people who still see they’re relationship as fake!!!!!
as has been discussed here so many times, photos, magazine interviews, etc. can be construed in so many ways, with both sides pointing to “examples” to prove their point. However, a TV interview such as the 2 we saw here can’t be twisted or misinterpreted in my opinion. Zac’s facial expressions and body language, captured in “real time,” say it all, as the mere mention of her name causes him to blush and smile, and gives us all a glimpse into how smitten he is. i believe it may be that these two have finally accepted that their relationship is out there, and have realized that denying it only heightens peoples curiosity and the media’s brazenness to “uncover” it, so why fight it. so to me, when a guy is asked how he feels about people looking at “his girl that way,” and he accepts the question without hesitation, and answers that he’s proud, and she deserves it with a huge smile on his face, then i feel what more really needs to be said!
i’m sure there are many who will still continue to believe and/or delude themselves to the contrary, but hey, sometimes it feels good to rant
Ginger - I laughed at your name for all us moms - “Cougar Contingent”. Just the other day, my husband asked me is I knew what a cougar was and I had no idea. So he explained it to me, like so many other slang terms that he knows from his teenage boy days.
Except my admiration for Zac is based on a mother’s perspective. I just hope that my two teen age sons show such talent and humility and that they are as kind to their girlfriends as Zac. I have to say that I would love to meet Zac’s mom because she definitely did something right!
I certainly agree with you zanfan2. Zac’s mother did do something right. I only hope my 16 year old son is half as nice and caring to his girl friends when the time comes, as Zac is to Vanessa. I also think Gina did something right with Vanessa. She too is kind and caring to those close to her, and she certainly knows how to keep her head up and persevere in the face of adversity as does Zac. They really do compliment and as someone put it recently “complete” each other.
go on and put me in the “Cougar Contingent” as well….I have an 11 year old son and a 14 year old daughter so I am “trying” to raise my two to turn out well too like Starla and Gina’s…..and yes…..my two laugh at the HSM Mania at our house but my 11 year old is still smitten with Vanessa (she’s hot Mom and I’d love to meet her!!) but he knows she is “Troy’s” - he still doesn’t get Troy and Zac as being different!! He knows the difference but if seeing them on TV or in print, he will talk about Vanessa and Troy - but he is a boy who loves to play basketball too, is trying out for the school team this fall, so I am sure Troy is one of his “heros” too and just does not separate them at his age!! But that’s okay too…..

Ginger, welcome to our “contingent”!! I’ve always called this my “guilty pleasure” as well!! My kids are 26, 23, and 19. My 19 yr. old son thinks I’m nuts, but my 2 daughters love HSM !! My daugter’s fiance is a fan as well….she made him watch it with her! And we’re ALL out of the demographic!!
I think the success of these movies should tell the studio heads how much we really need wholesome fun again in movies, and that we need to see values return to TV and movies that our kids watch. The fact that we adults love it too is icing on the cake!!
liz, I’d have to say there are parts of both 1 and 2 that I like. I love the development of the characters and their chemistry in 1, but I really like the dance numbers and campiness of the 2nd better. I will always love the opening song in #1, “The Start of Something New” with Zac and Vanessa. I knew the minute I watched it, that there was something special with those two. I loved the emotion in “Gotta Go my Own Way”. Loved the dance number at the end of #2 at the pool. Oh, it’s so hard to pick favorites!!
One more thing….I think Betty was the one who called us the “Cougar Contingent”……..just wanted to give credit where it’s due!!
Also, ginger, I work in a middle school, and I have lots of HSM fans in our school. I have an HSM “Got Milk?” poster in my office and the kids love it!! It looks great in my nurses’ office!!

I really liked HSM for the songs and story line development.
I also enjoyed HSM2 for the deepening of Troy and Gabbi’s relationship and the dance numbers were great too.
I’ m hoping that HSM3 is the best in all areas. Can’t wait for the “big screen.”
I enjoyed watching all 3 celebrity shows. They all had a little something to add about the storyline and characters.
