okay, so i was staring at the screen watching american idol, shaking!!!!!!! and i told everyone, oh, i like both of them! they are both great! but a little part of me wanted david archuleta to win… when they said David Cook, i was surprised, because seriously i thought david Archuleta would win. but david cook began to sing, and went over the david A and smiled and put an arm around him. David A was smiling, and then i was happy that david Cook won. he has an amazing voice, and seems super nice as well. america got is right this year, and its been one of the BEST years ever in american idol. david archuleta is amazing and only has great things coming for him. david cook is going to be great, and his album will ROCK!!!! :P

Thank God people can make good choices. I could see David Cook really doing amazing in the music biz. I think it was a set up and i think tht the show would have an easier time getting out an record etc with cook rather than with archie and his show dad, so simon did something sorta uncharacheristic and he chose sides and the curse of simon prevailed! Okay… I am a Cook AND Archuleta fan, but for some reason that I don’t know… I was disappointed when Cook won. I think that Cook & Archuleta are both equally talented. Yes, they have completely different styles; but they both can sing VERY well. They are also, both, good performers. But hands-down Archuleta had the best performances at the semi-final & finale. They both had very good perfomances throughout the season, but something in my gut wanted Archuleta to win. They both have great careers ahead of them, though, & wish them both the best! :-) CONGRATS DAVID C.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

david archuleta is the better singer and everyone knows it, including the judges. his fans just got too confident and failed to vote enough, and david cook’s fans got scared so they voted repeatedly.
cook is a good singer, and more “american idol” material than archuleta, but archuleta still should have won because it is a singing competition and he is better at it.
