Madonna (in Chanel) joins director husband Guy Ritchie and actress pal Sharon Stone at the premiere of her new film, I Am Because We Are, at the Palais des Festivals during the 2008 Cannes Film Festival on Wendesday in Cannes, France.
I Am Because We Are is a documentary written, narrated and produced by Madonna. This movie documents the concern over the millions of orphans in the African country of Malawi who have lost parents and siblings to HIV and AIDS, many of whom live on the streets. The film also shows the efforts with Madonna’s charitable organization Raising Malawi in helping with improving their lives and conditions.
UPDATE: OH MY, THAT DRESS IS MIGHTY SEE-THROUGH. ACK! MY EYES!

She truly is the Queen. I’m from France and they are televizing her arrival LIVE. Even the head of the Cannes Film Festival was there with a camera taking pictures of her. They said that’s the first time they’ve seen that happen. French TV is going crazy over Madonna. It’s incredible.

She looks great! Can’t wait to watch her concert. Sharon Stone, on the other hand, is looking a bit rough. I think it’s the hair. Guy Ritchie - LOL. Can a guy look more miserable? I hope he’ll be able to resurrect his career because Lock, Stock… and Snatch were pretty good.

Somehow the dress works for Madonna. She has never been shy and demure. She knows exactly what she is doing and I admire her uniqueness. I do like her hair and make up with the dress.

If body language counts for anything, Madonna looks happier when Guy is not by her side. Guy looks likes he’d rather be anywhere else and they don’t come across as the “happy couple”. She looks happier with Sharon. LOL.
