There’s somethng Ashley needs to learn, just because you CAN wear something, doesn’t mean you SHOULD. Bell Bottoms are in style, yes, but they’re not HER style. I personally don’t even think she has one actually. I see her wear Vanessa’s clothes (her top, her shoes, her bags) and they look all wrong on her. I see her trying to wear what’s considered “in” in the fashion world, and it still looks weird.

She always looks uncomfortable and upset, probably a result of not being very confident. She’d be more confident though, if she stopped trying to be someone she’s not.

However, as you said in your first post you are not going to change their minds because what they see in her they translate as rude or phony or full of herself. I don’t understand how any of the things these people have said in those regards equate to any of those things. For one thing when celebrities go out to sign autographs they are only allowed o spend about a minutes with each fan—the are told these kinds of things by their handlers so as to keep the people moving and it is safer for the celebrity for the lines to keep moving. Another big issue that you brought out in the second post I mentioned is the fact she is probably nervous and really doesn’t know what to say. Some people can chit chat and small talk all day and some people can’t. I have read numerous things that say she is really very shy. Flicking the hair, interrupting are very prominent signs that a person is nervous and trying hard to “fit in” or calm their insides down.
I didn’t hear anyone say she said something rude or walked off from them—which some celebrities are known to do. Lastly, I bet she is different when she is with a group like the HSM gang. She probably handles those situations better because she doesn’t feel the pressure of trying to say something witty or whatever(sounds to me like she also tries being upbeat like her characters because she can hide behind them and thinks that what fans want to see anyway from her.) Having friends around like the HSM cast would also make her feel safer and secure so she could have more fun and be herself. The old saying is “there is safety in numbers”. Anyway, perhaps some of the haters should take some of these things into consideration.

I’m not certain that all of you didn’t “get it” but I will assume you truly don’t and will try to explain.

First, when a celebrity, say Ashley, goes out to sign books or do autographs the people who have set this event up will not let the same fan stand there and talk for very long—especially if there is a line. The longer the line the faster the celebrity is expected to “move” those fans along so many times fans feel like they were rushed off. It isn’t the celebrity’s fault. Is she would try to talk too long, believe me, some old man–say 30-40–would show up and tell you to move in either a kind way or a rude way.

Secondly, are none of you shy? Have you ever been without a friend or family member and expected to meet more than one person you did not know and know that it was important to “make a good impression”—or worse yet, know that the people you are about to meet already know something about you—even it it is true or false—-but you know nothing about them. Some of you this scenario would not make nervous, but if you are shy you would admit that it is a little unnerving. SO, in that situation you may giggle—a sure sign of nerves if the giggle doesn’t seem appropriate—or clam up not being able to say much of anything and you may want to make an excuse to hurry away. If you were a celebrity you could not do that so you might try to hurry away the people who you are speaking to. Flipping the hair or twilling it is another example of showing signs of nervousness. You take it as her being “full of herself” but it may be just the other way around—she somewhat insecure about the whole situation.

Lastly, if you are shy, isn’t it easier to be around a close friend and have to deal with an uncomfortable situation? Say you like a boy and don’t know what to say and you desperately want to make a good impression. Well, most likely it would be easier to engage in conversation if you had one of your girlfriends with you. That way the pressure to be “perfect” isn’t so much and you relax so when Ashley is with her friends she knows they will take some of the pressure off her and she won’t be the only one expected to be “entertaining”. So, she will most likely act differently—just like you probably would if you were around that special boy who makes you tongue-tied if you had to talk to him alone for the first time.

Personally when I spoke to her she was not even acting like that and I have never seenm her act like that before with another person however it is possible and it is possible that those were the reasons. I did not feel rushed when I met Ashley but than again it was jsut me and her. Well not at first. Ok I will tell the story….I snuck up to the vip area where people with wristbands were and she was signing lots of autographs and stuff and I hurried up to her and asked for a picture she said sure and she said to give the camera to such and such and he would take a picture. i did and she said thank you and than she had to go. Now let me tell you something it was not her who wanted to leave these fans or anything. i saw her she was talking and signing autographs and tan this guard says ok she has to go come on ashley and literally starts dragging her away from them. She wouidl come out a bunch of diff times but right now she was in an extra secial vip section which i later realized was really only for family and friends. It was so cute when miley came to shwo her support they laughed and hugged each other. Anyway so I later managed to sneak in to the extra vip part where she was in all the ime. i saw her taking pictures with her mom and dad. she was laying her head on his shoulder she looked very sad or tired. after she finsiehd with the pictures i went up to her ad asked if she was ok and she told me that yea she was fine she was just really tired as she was up since 6am. i handed her the letter i wrtote to hger saying it was for her and she said oh thank you very much. we spoke for alitlle bit more and than she had to go do some photos before she left however it looked like she wanted to give me a hug but she wasnt sure if she shoudl it was so cute. but anyway she is the sweetest girl ever and i dont think she deserves this hate and bashing again you cant really hate someone you do not know and also ashley did actually audition for Sharpay. It was a whole day or something like that. hors and very trying but she eventually got it b/c she was in fact that best so it did not just get handed to her. and i think she does a terrific job at it. also how do you know ashley reads these boards? but anyway you seem to take pride in the fact that she will read the mean things you have written do you really enjoy hurting peoples feelings?

She said in a exclusive video i saw in a interview she saying these words ”Me and my boyfriend post pictures of me and other famous people on his
website just jared.com and i absolutely love reading the fans is responces” on it”..So there you go now understand she does in fact read them and also said she ignores the haters like me and also says she doen’t care about what other people think so like what..But i don’t believe that she doesn’t care come she totally does care,like every star uses that same excuse i don’t care yeah right..Why do think alot of them have gotten crazy out because they do care so she totally cares so like drop..Let me give you some advice if just told the truth and said yes i do care but i’d rather ignore that kind of stuff then she would have less haters like try that ashley like seriously or eny other celebs…

One thing for sure, being with her parents and friends—as charlene stated she was in a “secure’ area where charlene wasn’t suppose to be–Ashley did act differently than some of you saw her act when you met her—-because she felt “safer” most likely with having her family close to her.

vahnumba1fan is sort of right, give the poor girl a break! she did nothing to any of you what-so-ever, & (as vahnumba1fan stated) she’s not going to commit suicide because you tell her to! stop bringing out her appearance! we all know she isn’t the most gorgeous woman in the world, but does that really matter? there are LOADS of unnatractive celebs! but they do have one very important characteristic - TALENT *gasp!* i can understand that some of you don’t believe she is a good singer, but how is she by any means a bad actress? she does very well in comedy, & yes, i do believe that is the field she should be most involved in. as for she only got hired for HSM because she’s in TSL, i’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but she DID audition like everyone else. i understand that she has her own tips for auditioning (which she shared w/ Lucas Grabeel). if they hired her only because she was popular on disney, it’s not her fault! she did the work & that’s that. would you refuse an offer like that? a PAYING offer? it’s WORK. it’s her CAREER, but some of you may be too juvenile to understand that (so it seems)…
