Madonna Teams Up With amFAR
Madonna looks prim and proper in Stella McCartney at amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS 2008 benefit held at Le Moulin de Mougins during the 2008 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday in Mougins, France.
The Material Mom talked about her new documentary, I Am Because We Are, which concerns children orphaned by Aids in Malawi. She also showed a clip from the film.
Madonna said: “To say that this film is a labor of love is true, but that’s kind of trivial because really what it is, is a journey of a lifetime.”

Geez, those shoes look like they’re cutting off the circulation in her legs, why are they tied so tight?? She’s got chunky legs, just let them be free Madge instead of stuffing them in boots and tying them up.
LOVE THE SHOES! I think in black those shoes that tie at the ankle can really cut a leg off and make it look stocky but in a lighter tone closer to the skin, they work well. The exception to the rule seems to be Gwyneth who has been wearing this sort of ankle strap or tie shoe in all kinds of colours with short short skirts, but still manages to look six feet tall. Helps when you start out statuesque!

Not too crazy about the dress but her face and body are amazing for someone her age. All those who say otherwise must have their eyes checked. And if she had work done, it’s work done well. I think she looks better now than she did 20 years ago.

Love Madonna, love the color of the dress. Hate the style of the dress and really hate the shoes. They are really unflattering and uncomfortable looking. Madge deserves better.

The dress is too frilly and the color is too loud. One thing is for sure madonna with all her millions forgot to buy class along the way. I expect madonna to dress better than this.

She always has been a “cesso” (search on the italian-english dictionary), at 25 as at 50 years old…The most overstimated pop music personality than ever, she has really bored, repeating the same things in the same places every 2 years over and over again. It seems to me a curse as in some horror movie…someone call an exorcist!

I use to be a big fan, but since Madonna turned 40 she has changed and not for the better. It’s not her being older that has turned me off her it’s her try hard behaviour. You can’t turn back the clock and I think she is trying way to hard to appeal to a younger audience. I don’t think she has to pull stupid publicity stunts like kissing Britney on stage and do a new song with Justin Timberlake to make herself popular to a younger audience. She needs to remember the loyal fans that have followed her through out her music career and not focus entirely on the new generation. Madonna would have to be one of the most recognised women in the world, if young people don’t know who she is then they are probably still in nappies. I wish she would embrace who she is not who she use to be, getting old is a part of life.

I second what Joe to Hell says in post #23 - I’m getting so sick of age bashing - to me it’s akin to making racist jokes and thinking it’s clever.
