“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” Movie Trailer
Here’s the trailer for Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett’s new film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
To refresh your memory, 80-year-old Benjamin Button (Pitt), is born aging backwards, causing complications when he falls in love with a 30-year-old woman (Blanchett).
Director David Fincher said, “It’s dark, it’s romantic, and it also deals with mortality in a pretty unflattering way. Button is born in 1919 - with the film itself beginning in World War I, traveling around the world and carrying on all the way through to the year 2000.”
Watch the “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” Movie Trailer below! The film opens on Friday, December 19.

I don’t think Paris Match is reliable. They have made up stuff before though this is in line with what Brad said last year. They might go even higher than that.
I actually have This Novel From F. Scott Fitzgerald, My Father gave it to Me. I read it Years ago.. It’s so lovley ,and it makes it even Lovelier That Brad is doing The Movie, with Fincher no less….. ! Ahhhhh
The way he is looking at the woman in the elevator! Bad glasses and receding hairline cannot disguise the hotness that is Brad Pitt.
Thanks Jared.
Can’t wait to see this movie. I’ve got 4 MUST SEE movies in the coming months - KFP, Wanted, Changeling & TCCOBB. Not sure about BAR as GC is in it.
I didn’t notice this before. They were play TCCOBB soundtrack at Changeling premiere at Cannes ( about 7:35). credit Winrose at jjb.

Feline–many thanks, I’m sorry I didn’t see it. I just jumped to the new thread :-(
Estelle that makes sense, it would be on the cover if there was an interview..
OK, this is pure speculation…Something just occured to me, I wonder if Jack Black knew more than the fact that she was pregnant with twins when he said ‘you’re going to be like the Brady Bunch’…Yeah Brady Bunch had 6 kids and they had three boys and three girls
Movie, will be awesome. Great work Brad as usual.
Paris match is very reliable. My mom had a subscription so I’ve been reading it since i learned to read and before that i’d look at the pictures. They cover everything from entertainment to politics to world news. They’re not a tab, they’re legit.
guli - LOL…..may be? or may be he was referring to the numbers of kid in the Brady’s bunch………….well we can hope the babies will be one boy and one girl, 50/50 chance of being right.
The trailer is interesting…would love to see Brad;s transformation.
Greetings to anoble, feline, vicki, alia, angel, carolina, tita, cook, PT, and to all JP fans.
Paris Match is as much reliable as People mag.

See The Movie Trailer for David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Posted on Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 12:30 pm by: Peter Sciretta
Update: We’ve embedded the International version of the movie trailer in this posting.
David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Want to see the movie trailer for David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button? I’ve heard it’s playing in front of most prints of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. And word has it that the trailer won’t show up online in official form until the end of next week. International trailer below:
So if you haven’t seen Indiana Jones 4, you might now have a reason. From what I understand the majority of the trailer has no dialogue and is almost completely cut to music (I’m being told that it uses “Aquarium” section of “The Carnival of the Animals” by the composer Saint-Saëns). Alex Billington of FirstShowing saw the trailer and is already calling the movie “next year’s Best Picture.”
“At my local theater nearby, I’ve gone in and watched this trailer four times just to bask in its brilliance, writes Billington. “I wouldn’t be hard-pressed to call it potentially a masterpiece. The music in the trailer is really what makes it extraordinary. It’s one of the most emotional, thrilling, and tragic trailers I’ve seen that encapsulates the entire story in itself. … I haven’t been this affected since I saw the trailer for Zack Snyder’s 300 back in at Comic-Con in 2006.”
Sure, Mr. Billington tends to get excited easily, but I’ve gotten a bunch of emails from readers and friends who were also taken away by the surprise trailer. One reader named Andy actually sent us an email about the trailer from his screening. Here are some other reactions:
LiquidFilmmaking: Even if [Indy 4] sucked that is one of the best trailers I’ve seen. It’s up there with the Thin Red Line trailer or the Episode 1 trailer, at least for me.
Steven Cravens: Just from the trailer I can tell Fincher is going to get his nomination. It was epic as hell. I can’t wait.
JimmiesCoffee: My jaw dropped throughout the entire thing. The best part was that David Fincher never put his name on the screen. Now THATS modesty. Eat your heart out Brett Ratner. Its #1 on my list of movies this year. I cannot wait. WOW.
Carson Patrick: This was one of the best trailers I’ve ever seen. Didn’t give too much away, and left you really wondering what it was all about. plus, the imagery and the scope of the movie was amazing and epic. Fincher seems to have really outdone himself with this one. I hope he and Brad get Oscar nominations.
HurtsLikeHellFire: Freaking sweet! Great trailer. The fx look worth the long wait. And what beautiful music. I almost didn’t notice it I was so engrossed with the images.
I’m very excited about this film. Fincher’s Fight Club is one of my all time favorites. Panic Room felt more like a pointless clinical cinematic experiment than anything else, and Zodiac was probably one of the best films of last year films, bad sadly mis-marketed and underrated. Academy Award winner Eric Roth also wrote the screenplays for Forrest Gump, The Horse Whisperer, and Munich. But what is Benjamin Button about? I’ve included the official plot synopsis below
“I was born under unusual circumstances.” And so begins “Benjamin Button,” adapted from the classic 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. A man, like any of us, unable to stop time. We follow his story set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the twenty-first century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Tilda Swinton, Taraji P. Henson, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, “Benjamin Button,” is a time traveler’s tale of the people and places he bumps into along the way, the loves he loses and finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.
Feline, lol you will be the one croaking. ribbit, ribbit :D
The trailer is beautiful and the music too - and I’m not sure but this movie looks like it’s going to be tearjerker - not my favorite type of movie to see at the theater but b/c it’s Brad I’m going to go see it.
I also think Paris Match is a reliable publication. They do good investigations too.

Hi guli, if you’re still around, i saw that earlier and translated the brad part in the last thread. It’s one of the last posts if you want to bring it over. We can expect 2 more kids after the twins i think.
=============
are you talking about biological or adopted? We know they will adopt more kids. If she is talking about bio babies- good luck to angie and hats off to her.
WOW ! Great trailer. YES! - most respected papers, entertainment editorials are buzzing about Pitt’s performance in this picture.
I always believe he is a good actor, the character and the circumstances of Button’s life should be a vehicle for him to come out of his shell and shine like, what’s her name - the girl with the most gorgeous lips.
Not fair that she has everything - this man, his children and an outstanding performer in her own right !
Great buzz on their performances - Pitt on Benjamin Button, and what’s her name whith that gorgeous lips has AMH and now Changeling !
But really, they deserve each other. tHIS IS PITT THREAD - so I will limit my comments for him. GREAT PERFORMANCE, MR PITT !
Hi thelookoflove.
Damn Brad is the Shizzle.
There is no way am missing this movie. Brad is soo good in it, it is unbelievable. I think this is his best work soo far, now that they didnt give us a chance to watch AOJJ at the theatres.
Good job Daddy Brad. Loves it!!!!!!
Paris match is very reliable. My mom had a subscription so I’ve been reading it since i learned to read and before that i’d look at the pictures. They cover everything from entertainment to politics to world news. They’re not a tab, they’re legit.

Feline could you give us the scoop if you find the magazine? :)
Oh crap anoble, nooo! Lol
IIRC There was some stuff in Paris Match when they were pregnant with Shiloh or they just had Shiloh that turned out to be wrong. There also was a so called interview that seemed like it was a compilation of previous made quotes elsewhere. So it will be interesting if there is an actual interview with new stuff. ALSO, i wonder if Brad literally meant 8 or was stuff lost in translation.
