Katie Holmes’ Broadway Break
Katie Holmes dons her shades as she takes a break from a Broadway theater in New York City on Friday.
Kat, 29, will be making her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s play, All My Sons. She will play Ann Deever, a woman who visits the family of her former lover, a missing pilot.
In other news, TomKat is reportedly suing Petit Tresor, a baby boutique in Los Angeles for publicizing false shopping details of a $350,000 spending spree at the store. “Petite Tresor is trying to get publicity for themselves by telling the press that celebrities are shopping in their store when they’re not,” says a rep for the couple.

Regarding Petit Tresor. Why shop there TomKat? They always release information on purchases made by their celebrity clientale. Surely TomKat knew this going into the shop. And now he wants to sue?
I will give Mz. Holmes points for bravery. Her talent is no where near that of Lithgow, Wiest, and Patrick. The role of Ann is way beyond her meager acting talents.
Seems like she is morphing into Nicole. Tom turned Nicole into a fashion icon…now he is trying to do the same with Katie. Nicole did a play in London to rave reviews, now Katie is doing broadway. Tom called Nicole Nic, now he is calling Katie-Kate. The examples of are numerous.
Why does she put it up with it?
She strikes me as someone who is doing exactly what she wants to do. She got her millions now she wants to be a broadway star.
Who is morphing who, this is such a crazy pair, can’t tell either’s
real identity.
Starrynites - for your #13 post - I make no claim to be a Broadway critic, and don’t know if there is a significant correlation between box office hit and talent.
So I am asking you since you made those remarks. Here is my first question. Because Mad Money failed to be a BO hit, does it suggest that Holmes has no acting talent, and she alone carried the banner for its failure ? Or, are there any considerations ?
And finally, how is it obvious that Holmes only consideration for any project or film is her marriage to Cruise. Should a woman be limited to accept roles because of her marriage to Cruise. And for that you call her creepy and pathetic.
I am cognizant that you are expressing an opinion, however misplaced they are. Expressing you opinion is your right, and whether I like it or not, or however cruel or misplaced, they are duly protected.
We should be so proud as Americans - pettiness is so ingrained in our national character.

Katie looks down in the dumps because she’s reading all the unflattering comments about her Broadway debut. The producers and cast all know what kind of actress she is, they can read comments on this web and all the others that are already trashing her.
I feel sorry for all involved (except Katie) Let hope she quits while she’s ahead.
Starrynites - it has been published that Petit in several credible media outlet does release information on celebrity clients. At the very least, this is a propriety issue, and at worst illegal.
The issue raised by your post # 27 is sensitivity. The median annual income in the US is $46,242. Based on that premise, how dare the Cruises spend $350 K on a shopping spree for 1 child and in doing so they are viewed as self-absorbed and self-centered.
Valid criticism - to a point. One - but for Petit release of the money spent by the Cruise, no one would have known. Petit had no right to advertise that information to the press or to the public. The release of these information is problematic because it chipped away our privacy rights. Two - the Cruises’ are not the “average US family. They have an income to the gazillions. It is not our business to dictate what, where, and how, why, and how much they spend their income. There is no law that prohibits them to spend their money for their child.
As to the Cruises, they should have known better that the public will scrutinized every move they make, and that people like you will always have grudges, right or wrong to air. After all, critics like you will exercise to express an opinion, however misplaced.
I agree on the sensitivity issue, but not the release of these private information, and hence, there should be no issue at all.
Katie always looks like she spent 2 hrs playing dress up. Trying way to hard to be like Posh. It doesnt come off natural on katie.

How exciting for Katie and they’re all busy. Connor is filming,more filming for Tom on Valkyrie and soon with Denzel Washington 28th Amendment film. Katie is the best.
She puts up with it, Dancer, because she’s paid millions each year to put up with it and be Tommy girls beard.
Her acting skills have never been anything impressive and this stint on B.way will prove she’s going nowhere fast.

I actually wish they were suing Petit Tresor. They are notorious for spread false information. I love how Joel Madden called them out on their bull ****. They also said that JLo did some ridiculous nursery with them. I have no doubt she would go overboard, but I doubt it would be with them.

Every time we see her she looks more and more MISERABLE and has nearly no make-up on (even though she clearly is gorgeous without it …). I think she is probably coming to the realization that she is trapped in this weird, controlling marriage and is desperately wanting out. I feel sorry for her. She’s young and had no idea what mess she was getting into…

TOMMMYGIRL can’t even dress himself let alone dress anyone, d best we’ve seen him dress was during the NICOLE KIDMAN days since then not just his sense of style but his reputation has spiralled downwards and seriously his union with this chick only worsens his situation

Of course she is no JAckie. She is cute when she gets herself together. but her posture has never been elegant. Not even at her wedding day she stood up straight!
JAckie could bea wearing whatever and she had class and poise, that type of class that is rare to see in other woman. Grace Kelly had it, I cannot remember anyone right now of our times.

Get real! Neither Tom nor Katie have s.h.I.t for the world. Your comment about— “Katie doing tv, movies and now broadway…so what have you done for the world and others?”— was the dumbest thing I’ve read to date. How does bad acting actually compare to humanitarian works? For that matter since you through the question out there, why don’t you tell us just what you’ve done to help the “world and others”. Please tell us.
As for the comment on whether Katie was the sole reason ‘Mad Money’ failed, I’d say no but she was a deciding factor. It was a dumb movie with a very simple plot and while Keaton and Latifa did their job well it was Holmes the critics trounced. And before the Tomkatfreaks jump down my throught. Just google the d.a.m.n movie and read the critics’ words for yourself. Even Variety had nothing nice to say.
Point is Katie is a tv actress and that’s the venue she does best in. Like Aniston, Holmes is a one dimensional actress…incapable of any real diverse acting and to be honest she needs to go back to television were she will have more success.

Jackie O. had beauty, class and intelligence, this KH lacks it all especially intelliegence just like her HS drop out BF TC.
