Perhaps all our clucking about whether Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer were plunging too swiftly into the shallow end of the love pool was waaay off the mark. Because now the uncouth sleuths at the New York Post’s Page Six column are reporting that notoriously reclusive Jen and notoriously not-reclusive John had been secretly seeing each other for at least three months before their recent public splash together.

The Post’s super snooper source says, “They’d been keeping it under wraps and hiding out together on their dates. Then Jen realized it wasn’t just a fling and decided to take it public.”

We think we know what happens next: Three months from now somebody will leak the information that these two broke up three months ago because their busy schedules made it impossible for them to keep love alive. So sad, on so many levels.

According to reports, ESPN.com reporter Laura Lane was cussed out recently by Mrs. Kobe Bryant, Vanessa, for commenting on that shiteous purple tutu that Mrs. Kobe wore the night he was presented the NBA MVP award.

Lane recounted the run-in with the psycho baller’s wife on her blog:

So as I’m walking out of the Lakers locker room after some post-game interviews with the players, I pass Vanessa, who is sitting outside the locker room as usual with her two girls.
“Laura!” she screams (yes, she apparently knows my name). “**** you! You ******* *****!”

Lane also attributes the outburst it in part to the “rumors” of Kobe ******** one of the Laker Girls — “a hotter version of his wife who is also named Vanessa” — who has suddenly vanished from the squad.

Wonder if we’ll be seeing another ginormous rock on the finger of Vanessa (a la ‘rape scandal’ ring).

Too bad about Celebrity Baby Blog. They always tried to be respectful of all children. They also tried to be careful about not repeating rumors as if they were fact.

I am at a loss as to why ANYONE reported that the JPs purchased Chateau Miraval. The original French article clearly stated that they had signed a 3 year lease. Doesn’t anyone do any reporting themselves anymore. Or even simple fact checking? What would it have taken to properly translate the French article and make a few phone calls or emails to ascertain that the Chateau and vineyard had not been sold?

I am also amazed that people would think that a very expensive property like that would be sold for cash. Maybe multi billionaires do that but not people like Brad and Angie. The JPs can buy $4million dollar properties in cash like they did in NOLA. I also dont know why anyone thinks they know what either of the JPs are worth. Brad was “reportedly” worth about $150 million at the time of his separation in January 2005. But he made somewhere between $50 - 100 million with his share of the proceeds on Mr & Mrs Smith which came after that report. No one knows what these people are ever worth except their investment managers and their accountants. I suppose the IRS may have an idea of their net worth.

Did anyone think that a property with an award winning vinyard and other semi-public facilities was going to be shut down by a man who toiled long and hard to produce those wines and seems to take great pride in it?

I enjoy Cliniqua. She has passion. She hates to see injustice and it is never a bad thing to get passionate about injustice. If you want to know who really stalks these people go visit FF where they actually have people who contacted X’s “people” to warn her about Angelina Jolie and Brad as well as people always hatching some harebrained scheme how to meet up with Jolie or cast spells on her - like some bizzarro Lucy scheming with Ethel to get in Ricky’s nightclub act. And, yes, they seriously believe such mystical nonsense.

Errr… so people are getting bent out of shape because they’re showing a trailer for He’s Just Not Into You’ on Shiloh’s birthday?

Why? Did ET bump coverage of Shiloh’s mega b-day party for it?

We say that we hate when the press gets too intrusive when it comes to the JPs kids; ET shouldn’t have a special episode commemorating Shiloh’s b-day. IMO, it would be too Daniellyn for my tastes.

If there is some ‘conspiracy’ regarding the timing of it, so be it. The fact that a 39 year old grown-@$$ed woman would feel competitive towards a 2 year old is beyond pathetic.
