OlderVanessa Hudgen’s “Identified” — FIRST REVIEW
Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Vanessa Hudgens‘ sophomore release, Identified, out July 1.
“[The album] is definitely sophisticated,” Vanessa says. “But it’s also funky and fun–something that I would, like, actually listen to.”
Here’s what EW had to say about three of the album’s tracks:
“Sneakernight” — The thumping first single “is a fun song about hanging out with your girlfriends and wearing sneakers,” says Hudgens, who’s no stranger to stiletto-induced red-carpet cramps. “When I show the video, I was like, ‘I cannot believe I’m wearing sneakers for the first time in a music video!’ It was awesome.”
“First Bad Habit” — Hudgens enlisted producer Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) to pump synths into this sassy anthem “about when you like a hug so much but know he’s a complete a–hole.” Is said rapscallion like any particular man in her life? “It hasn’t happened to me, but a lot of my friends have gone through so much crap.”
“Gone with the Wind” — “And now I’m standing my ground/And who I am/For that I’m proud,” she declares in this stripped-down ballad. “I just kind of went for it…. The song basically means: I know a lot more, and that timidness and naïveté is gone with the wind.”

mangel29, let me be the first to wish you an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY! May I ask how old you are? Well, I also wish you all the best and hope you have many pleasant surprises.
As to your not liking Ashley, I won’t even go there. I personally have nothing against her. She makes a good comedic actress and she is Vanessa’s best friend and a loyal one at that. She is after all 22 or 23 yrs of age and that is adult enough. I guess she does have her bad moments. We can forgive her for that, she is only human like the rest of us. Was watching some of the videos on youtube and you could tell from hsm1 tour and promotions, how close they were and still are. Ashley did say she was a shy person and Vanessa helped her overcome her shyness or something like that.

Well, I respect the fact that you like Ashley, though I don’t. However, there’s no reason to insult her the way those haters do, and that is what my comment’s all about. About Vashley’s friendship, I’m happy they’re so close friends, like sisters even if I don’t really like Ashley. But I’m a huge fan of Vanessa and seeing her being happy in her life is … cool for me !
Happy “Sweet 16″, mangel129. That is one of those very special ages that only come around once—but trust me as they go along the pick up speed and before you know it the big 30 is staring you in the face and then they go faster!! LOL Something to look forward to, huh?

Had given the direction twice…thought the first one was not successfully posted …for it took so long to appear.
I’m pretty sure when the fhm list was first released that Vanessa was ranked 26th out of 100 and was just behind Natalie Portman but the link given above doesn’t tell the ranking that I can see. All I seen in ranking on that link is if the person was on last year’s list it given that person’s ranking from then.

jade, #221, I completely agree with you that how Vanessa has handled her “obstacle” is so admirable!! It is the bad times in life that build your character, and she was brave and faced the world. She could NOT have handled it better and with more dignity and grace. That’s when I BECAME a fan. I admire people more when they deal with adversity. And to see an 18 yr old handle herself that way is truly refreshing these days. No one wants to be responsible and people look for others to blame. She NEVER did that, and accepted responsibility for her mistake. Loved her for that.

I don’t know the actual ranking of Vanessa Hudgens for the FHM 100 sexiest women for 2008. I am just showing to Evelyn that Vanessa was indeed included in the list for 2008. The direction I gave is just showing the list of girls by alphabetical order.

According to Agent 801, the HSM3 cast was filming at a residence in SLC over the weekend, with red and white balloons on the house. Also a truck similar to the light blue one Troy got in HSM2 was seen.

I have been rooting the link of Justjared since they showed HMS1 on the TV because of my grandkids. High School was the happiest part of my life reminiscing the old days rather than my college life.
Until I reached the part when the whole world seems to be against Vanessa Hudgens. Had watched silently and read the harsh and cruel comments of people. Prayed for her and asked friends to pray for her,also. Found out that she has a lot of caring love ones, friends, and fans around the world. Although, Vanessa emanates and outside look of youthfulness and sweet personality, inside her…one can find a very determine and strong spirit.
I don’t have nothing against Ashley and I prayed also for her and Vanessa to be good and supportive for each other.

You are very sweet! Vanessa is really blessed to have fans like you. You are certainly in good company not just on this site but other sites as well. It really does my heart good to see the calibre of mature and sensible people but old and young that are able to see what I see in Vanessa, not put her on a pedestal and yet go out of their way to support her and root for her to succeed in the entertainment industry. I love the simple pleasure we derive from seeing her happy and doing well even though we’re not connected to her in anyway.
I found out about her quite late (I am 34), I was compelled to watch hsm 1 October last year as one of my firm’s clients makes hsm merchandise and was immediately struck by Vanessa’s beauty and voice. I googled her and discovered the whole scandal and what have you. I lurked for so long on JJ rooting for the Angels that were and still are covering her back and finally decided to come out and join in showing support for her and Zac.
I totally agree with you about the strong spirit in her. She is able to be really strong as a young woman and yet retain the external femininity and grace that goes with womanhood. I bet those are some of the things that Zac finds attractive in her. Oh, I could go on about those two but suffice it to say that they are one unique couple mainly because as individuals, they are both strong without being abrasive or forward, they both live by good, sensible values and just bring out the best in each other.
As a first for me, I couldn’t have chosen a better couple to be a fan of. So welcome to Zac and Vanessa fandom on JJ!
