OlderVanessa Hudgen’s “Identified” — FIRST REVIEW
Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Vanessa Hudgens‘ sophomore release, Identified, out July 1.
“[The album] is definitely sophisticated,” Vanessa says. “But it’s also funky and fun–something that I would, like, actually listen to.”
Here’s what EW had to say about three of the album’s tracks:
“Sneakernight” — The thumping first single “is a fun song about hanging out with your girlfriends and wearing sneakers,” says Hudgens, who’s no stranger to stiletto-induced red-carpet cramps. “When I show the video, I was like, ‘I cannot believe I’m wearing sneakers for the first time in a music video!’ It was awesome.”
“First Bad Habit” — Hudgens enlisted producer Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) to pump synths into this sassy anthem “about when you like a hug so much but know he’s a complete a–hole.” Is said rapscallion like any particular man in her life? “It hasn’t happened to me, but a lot of my friends have gone through so much crap.”
“Gone with the Wind” — “And now I’m standing my ground/And who I am/For that I’m proud,” she declares in this stripped-down ballad. “I just kind of went for it…. The song basically means: I know a lot more, and that timidness and naïveté is gone with the wind.”

A good morning to you, Liz. It’s night for me here. Awww, it’s reassurring to know that the Zanessa flames are burning brighter than ever. I keep watching their early videos and how sort of cautious they were when speaking of each other and their relationship. Now, they are so much more open in their PDA, even though they don’t go into detail or enthuse about each other like some other celebrities we know. The chemistry was and is always there and Zac did display his affections for Vanessa initially, until the paps started zooming in on them. But now, they’ve weathered the storm and learnt to live with it. I’m just so glad for them.
Liz, the reason there are’nt many haters, I think, is because there’s no new thread for them to sink their teeth in. Just you wait for that new Zanessa or Vanessa thread(I hope I’m wrong here) and it must come on during the school hols. That’s when the little mice come out to play.
Well, I’ve just learnt something new here, hmm, Hopelessness, must look up the dictionary.

This is what you get when you reach half a century. The brain and the eyes do not coordinate sometimes.
I don’t think that Zac and Vanessa will have any problem staying close once filming finishes after all they are only really apart when they are filming in different countires and that does’nt happen often, once they’re in L.A. they go about their buisness but stil make time for each other, and even when they are apart by all accounts they keep the lines of communication open one way or another, I’m not saying they don’t miss each other obvioulsy they would after being together for nearly 3years and you look at photo’s you can see it, but to me they have learned to cope with seperation when they have to due to work and know that once their job is done they will be together again.
It would be nice if they do go to the awards after all they derserve a night of to go out and Zac is nominated so it stands a good chance that they will and it would be nice to see them, but if not then all the promotion work with HSM3 will soon arrive and they’ll be pictures galore.
I for one never really took that much notice of the artical that said they’re relactionship was in trouble as if you beleived every article about them they have had trouble all through their relactionship, but yet have come through what trouble has come their way together and supporting each other which in turn has made them a stronger couple.

And I agree with you the chemistry has alway been their from day one and is still there, my daughter and I watched both HSM dvd’s the other day and it is so obvious they had somthing from the start that is still going strong after al this time.
In HSM2, you don’t hear the “cute” at the end of “Everyday”. I am talking about the soundtrack, like KellyT pointed out. It is a different version than what is in the the movie so check out the soundtrack. “Gotta Go My Own Way” is also different from the movie version. On the CD, Gariella says “Troy” during the intro music while this part is not in the movie. I am pretty sure he says “cute” at the end but I want to double-check.
I sure do hope that Zac and Vanessa are at the awards but I kind of doubt it. They tend to go solo when just one is scheduled to be in the limelight. But now that they are much more out in the open about their relationship, maybe they will go together even though it is Zac’s night. That would be a major change in their public persona as a couple and it would be awesome!!!!

the album promos for vanessa’s new album are one word - STUNNING. each & every one of the pics is gorgeous & perfect! :-) & i absolutely ADORED her access hollywood interview! she looked drop-dead gorgeous! & her outfit was awesome! a definite great fashionista. & i don’t why, but i can’t stop watching the interview! it really cheered me up, ANOTHER reason why she’s my idol. the album sounds like it’s going to be great! those ^ are some good producers! :-) SHE’S ON A ROLL!! LOL ;-)
Ashley and Zac both have videos too. Vanessa looked GREAT in her video, I love how happy Ashley is in hers, and Zac was very charming in his, as always.

Can you blame Vanessa if she was a little nervous? She is under such scrutiny that every time she talks with the press, she has to be extra careful. She has to always be ready for questions that may put her on the spot , like the Miley question at the HSM3 press conference. In light of this pressure, she is amazingly poised and delightful, as always.
Is “Troy” wearing a brace of some sort on his leg? If so, I see a potential plot twist for HSM3!!! He gets an injury which jeopardizes his basketball scholarship. As a result, he can actually consider pursuing his love of theater. Now Sharpay gets into the picture to get him a scholarship at the same college where she is going. Gabriella is off to MIT on a full scholarship - an opportunity she can not possibly turn down. What is Troy to do?

I tried to post this earlier but it did not go through so I hope this is not a duplicate……since you guys were talking about “Everyday” earlier….here is a question I have had…..at the end when the Wildcats are lined up on the stage and Kelsi comes out between Gabrielle and Troy…..what is Troy doing with his right hand behind Kelsi……it looks like he is snapping his fingers up and down….????…what is that all about??? Again, just a “just wondering” question…..

Hmmmm . . . I watched Vanessa’s interview four times, and she didn’t seem in the least bit nervous (or strange) to me. She was her usual poised, articulate self. Cute and funny, too.

I’ll have to admit . . . I’m an optimist. Especially when it comes to Zac and Vanessa.
lucy, I don’t think there is anything strange about Vanessa on that interview. I think when you’re nervous, you are a little ‘jiggy”, but she did look at both cameras because there were 2 there. I don’t see anything strange about that. I think she looked great, and was poised with her answers!!

I agree, go sox. I saw nothing unusual about Vanessa’s interview. Maybe I have seen so many that I’m familiar with her mannerisms, etc, at this point. I thought they were all wonderful interviews—better than those 30 seconds “blips” we usually see on entertainment newscasts. LOL
