OlderVanessa Hudgen’s “Identified” — FIRST REVIEW
Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Vanessa Hudgens‘ sophomore release, Identified, out July 1.
“[The album] is definitely sophisticated,” Vanessa says. “But it’s also funky and fun–something that I would, like, actually listen to.”
Here’s what EW had to say about three of the album’s tracks:
“Sneakernight” — The thumping first single “is a fun song about hanging out with your girlfriends and wearing sneakers,” says Hudgens, who’s no stranger to stiletto-induced red-carpet cramps. “When I show the video, I was like, ‘I cannot believe I’m wearing sneakers for the first time in a music video!’ It was awesome.”
“First Bad Habit” — Hudgens enlisted producer Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) to pump synths into this sassy anthem “about when you like a hug so much but know he’s a complete a–hole.” Is said rapscallion like any particular man in her life? “It hasn’t happened to me, but a lot of my friends have gone through so much crap.”
“Gone with the Wind” — “And now I’m standing my ground/And who I am/For that I’m proud,” she declares in this stripped-down ballad. “I just kind of went for it…. The song basically means: I know a lot more, and that timidness and naïveté is gone with the wind.”

No, Zac was not on the View a week ago. You might have seen a rerun.
Since Zac is presenting at the MTV Movie Awards, wouldn’t he have to be there early in order to run through the rehearsals? Seems to me the dude is getting good at dodging the paps.

Zac has been known not to come out of his apartment at times when in LA. When he was preparing o film 17 Again, there was a 2 week period we didn’t see him as it seemed that he never left. However, he did mention in is interview on TV with Billy Bush that he had found ways of getting out of is house—back doors, friends picking him up, etc. So, he may not have had time to really be out and about in LA since his time is limited before having to return to Utah and he has not been home for months—which means he may not have been anxious to get out and had to get some things caught up at home. If Vanessa was not able to come with him, he may not be that interested in going out. AND if Vanessa DID get to come home then I’m sure she is taking time to catch up with her family. On Mother’s Day even though her mom and sister were in Utah, there was no mention of her dad being there. Even so, it has been two weeks since she saw them anyway.

Thanks for commenting. Yeah, I guess you’re right. I can’t wait to watch it. I do hope they’re together, but if they’re not it doesn’t matter. I think it’d be nice for Vanessa to see her family, as it has been a while. The same with Zac though, gosh, it must have been MONTHS since he saw his family. I’m sure she’s spoken to them though. Her mom and her look close. I hope Zac has fun anyway, whether Vanessa is there or not, and vise versa.

Even if Vanessa got to come with Zac and even if she goes to the MTV awards with him, she probably still spent her other free time visiting with her family. That may be why we haven’t seen them. Aslo, when Zac first went to London to film MAOW, it was reported he had his mom and aunt with him—at least for a while. And it was also reported she was in Utah for Mother’s Day. However, there have been no reports that he has seen his dad or brother the past few months. Maybe if he got home for the weekend, maybe they might have driven into LA so they could visit and another reason nobody has spotted him.
in watching the cvoerage on tv this afternoon of the huge fire at Universal Studios in California I wondered if Vanessa’s Dad is involved in fighting that fire. Hayden Pantierre (sp??) also has a Dad who is a Los Angeles Fire Fighter……those 2 came to mind when they talked about 400 or more Firemen who had responded to that fire.
If Vanessa is home — her Dad may have been at work or called to work.
let’s pray for the safety of all the Firemen, especially if one of these two’s Dads are involved in fighting it.
I was thinking the same thing , Pit. As soon as I heard about the fire, my first thought was , I wonder if Vanessa’s Dad was there to help fight it. I imagine most of the force was called in to help if they had 400 people helping. I give all firefighters and police officers credit for the thankless and dangerous jobs they do, often times for very little money. Thank God for all of them.
