OlderVanessa Hudgen’s “Identified” — FIRST REVIEW
Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Vanessa Hudgens‘ sophomore release, Identified, out July 1.
“[The album] is definitely sophisticated,” Vanessa says. “But it’s also funky and fun–something that I would, like, actually listen to.”
Here’s what EW had to say about three of the album’s tracks:
“Sneakernight” — The thumping first single “is a fun song about hanging out with your girlfriends and wearing sneakers,” says Hudgens, who’s no stranger to stiletto-induced red-carpet cramps. “When I show the video, I was like, ‘I cannot believe I’m wearing sneakers for the first time in a music video!’ It was awesome.”
“First Bad Habit” — Hudgens enlisted producer Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) to pump synths into this sassy anthem “about when you like a hug so much but know he’s a complete a–hole.” Is said rapscallion like any particular man in her life? “It hasn’t happened to me, but a lot of my friends have gone through so much crap.”
“Gone with the Wind” — “And now I’m standing my ground/And who I am/For that I’m proud,” she declares in this stripped-down ballad. “I just kind of went for it…. The song basically means: I know a lot more, and that timidness and naïveté is gone with the wind.”

I didnt like her first album. All the songs sounded the same to me.
Sneakernight was alrightt.
It was better than ‘come back to me’ and ’say ok’.
I hope her fans dont get their hopes up too high
Hope the rest of the album is better than Sneakernight. I’m sorry but that “song” is awful! Like the beats behind it but her vocal and the lyrics are just terrible.

Oh dear God I hope the rest of the cd is better then the first song she released. Cause it sucked and was really stupid.
those lyrics sound awful and amateurish.
Can’t wait to hear the rest of Vanessa’s songs on her new album. I really think her vocals have matured since her last one.

I think this album is defintely going to be more sophisticated, but we have to remember it’s still a Disney company. She isn’t going to be able to really show her range while she’s under contract with them. But I really love her voice on “Sneakernight”.
And I’ve always loved Vanessa in this dress…..it’s perfect for her!!

Yeah!!! Go Vanessa. This album is sounding better and better. I have already pre-ordered it at Amazon.com
So what if she said a-hole.. I know people who aren’t even teenagers who cuss.. i know horrible lol.. And so what if she says like a lot .. Have you ever heard a teenager talk .. a lot of people have a bad habit of saying like a lot.. atleast i do anyway .. But i can’t wait to hear the rest of her album.. Sneakernight wasn’t the best song ever.. yes even i a fan will admit it .. BUt it was sort of addicting once you got listening to it .. So hopefully the rest of her songs are better.. And i’m sure it will be more mature .. She went through a lot last year and this year.. so i’m sure she’s taken her personal experiences and have put it on her album which is something great than artist can do ..
&& to “oh snap” … You seriously should get a life.. you go on like every Vanessa thread and throw the same insult about the pictures.. Here’s an advice to you .. stop acting like a freaking 5 year old and get over it .. Holding grudges isn’t healthy.. and if you don’t like her .. then why even pay attention to her .. Honestly you haters are making her even more popular than she is by hating on her .. haven’t you learned that by now..
