OlderVanessa Hudgen’s “Identified” — FIRST REVIEW
Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Vanessa Hudgens‘ sophomore release, Identified, out July 1.
“[The album] is definitely sophisticated,” Vanessa says. “But it’s also funky and fun–something that I would, like, actually listen to.”
Here’s what EW had to say about three of the album’s tracks:
“Sneakernight” — The thumping first single “is a fun song about hanging out with your girlfriends and wearing sneakers,” says Hudgens, who’s no stranger to stiletto-induced red-carpet cramps. “When I show the video, I was like, ‘I cannot believe I’m wearing sneakers for the first time in a music video!’ It was awesome.”
“First Bad Habit” — Hudgens enlisted producer Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) to pump synths into this sassy anthem “about when you like a hug so much but know he’s a complete a–hole.” Is said rapscallion like any particular man in her life? “It hasn’t happened to me, but a lot of my friends have gone through so much crap.”
“Gone with the Wind” — “And now I’m standing my ground/And who I am/For that I’m proud,” she declares in this stripped-down ballad. “I just kind of went for it…. The song basically means: I know a lot more, and that timidness and naïveté is gone with the wind.”

the songs seem… interesting, LOL. ;-) so she DID film the music video! can’t wait to see it! the songs in the tracklisting (in Amazon) are definately different! i think this album is somewhat similar to her first album, but more sophisticated, funky, & jazzy. can’t wait to hear it!

i am confused about one thing… what happened to the confirmed songs: Whisper, I Will (by Hilary Duff)?? are they on the album or did they take them off?? are they bonus tracks?? oh well, guess we have to wait to find out!

Hi Boji, I love the dress on V too, and btw I thought she was named best dressed at the AMA’s, idk, but I could be wrong….lol Here’s hoping that V knocks everyone’s socks off with this new CD. I know I’m buying it!
Ever since she began recording which was late last year until now, it’s been like forever waiting. I just can’t wait to see that video of hers in her sneakers. I’m sure she’ll be having her background dancers and she’ll definitely standout with her petiteness. Remember she’ll be in flats, unlike her usual platform/stilleto/heels.Oh, unless she gets to wear platform sneakers, hah! I wonder whether they’ll give her a love interest for good measure.
Boji they compared her to that model petra and said that Vanessa looked better in the dress as it suits her skin tone better.

Thanks Suzy, it must be my local magazine, then. I notice that Vanessa looks good in mini dresses and yes, Vanessa has a lovely skin tone and texture from her mixed parentage. She’s got the best of both, lucky girl!

Let’s see now. Wanna help me dissect the definition of a swear/curse word? When is a swear/curse word not a swear/curse word? I guess when it describes the feeling/emotion better than any other word.In this case Vanessa was just describing in layman’s terms( one in which a simpleton could understand) ie a jerk, a guy who messes around and does not behave like a gentleman, who doesn’t treat his girlfriend right, cheats on her, does not show her respect or tender loving or treats with dignity.
I loved her first cd and I’m looking forward to this one. As I fan I already
pre-ordered it on Amazon.com . There is no way the “Haters” are gonna
give her a chance( they even hate “Say OK” ) so if your a fan just support
her and let’s buy her cd.

Kgg, my friend discovered a lump in her breast a couple of weeks ago and you know what that means. Well, visited her on sat and she was so positive and matter of fact abt it, it’s incredible anyway, am helping her all I can. Apart from that, we had dinner guests sat. night and the rest just plain lazing around and messing with my laptop.

That’s not a review. That’s her talking about her album. She can say whatever she wants about it and of course she’s not going to be anything but positive about it. That’s her pimping her album, not an actual review by someone who has an unbiased opinion. I enjoyed her first album but Sneakernight is crappy. I hope the rest of her album makes her voice shine. Snearkernight makes it seem like she can’t sing.
