OlderVanessa Hudgen’s “Identified” — FIRST REVIEW
Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Vanessa Hudgens‘ sophomore release, Identified, out July 1.
“[The album] is definitely sophisticated,” Vanessa says. “But it’s also funky and fun–something that I would, like, actually listen to.”
Here’s what EW had to say about three of the album’s tracks:
“Sneakernight” — The thumping first single “is a fun song about hanging out with your girlfriends and wearing sneakers,” says Hudgens, who’s no stranger to stiletto-induced red-carpet cramps. “When I show the video, I was like, ‘I cannot believe I’m wearing sneakers for the first time in a music video!’ It was awesome.”
“First Bad Habit” — Hudgens enlisted producer Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) to pump synths into this sassy anthem “about when you like a hug so much but know he’s a complete a–hole.” Is said rapscallion like any particular man in her life? “It hasn’t happened to me, but a lot of my friends have gone through so much crap.”
“Gone with the Wind” — “And now I’m standing my ground/And who I am/For that I’m proud,” she declares in this stripped-down ballad. “I just kind of went for it…. The song basically means: I know a lot more, and that timidness and naïveté is gone with the wind.”

I loved Vanessa’s first album and I’m sure this one will be even better if the song titles are any indication.

Her news song stinks!! Go to you tube and listen to it and read the comments. Everyone thinks it’s awful……she ain’t no David Cook that’s for sure.
She has an awful voice and that song is so bad she better not expect to make a living singing. she’s a lousy actress and is only good at one thing……getting naked alone and probably with her sissy boyfriend efron.
Review?? Hey JJ, sounds more like her promoting herself. We all know she’s good at that but as for her music, it makes one want to cover your ears. She is so not important and yet she constantly gets so much face time. Besides those cheesy HSM roles what has she really done to become a staple on this site?
Hate her, hate her music. Awful song and people who have heard it and commented on the net agree. She is so over-hyped because of her famous boyfriend.
Speaking of which,I say dump him in the role of Footloose and give it to a real man like the new american idol. he would draw a much wider fan base then the teenie-boppers.

Pumpin#114, if that’s not a jealous remark then what do you mean by saying that Vanessa should stick to inappropriate stuff?! Are you just plain down right nasty and malicious?
As for the rest of you, nobody is forcing you to like Vanessa but there is so much venom in your hate comments, that there is no constructive criticism here. This is afterall a Vanessa thread.
#112 her threads usually get 100-200 comments plus…that’s why she is a staple of this site.
The rest of us like Vanessa for the person she is, not perfect but the fact that for one so young, she has had to deal with alot. Besides her dedication to her chosen career,her family values, her friends, her general background and her absolute devotion to her bf as witnessed by many observers. We are just rooting for her, and she is by no means oscar material, but we like her all the same and we can identify and sympathise with her past mistakes.
Anyway, thanks for the hits on this thread if for nothing else.
