OlderVanessa Hudgen’s “Identified” — FIRST REVIEW
Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Vanessa Hudgens‘ sophomore release, Identified, out July 1.
“[The album] is definitely sophisticated,” Vanessa says. “But it’s also funky and fun–something that I would, like, actually listen to.”
Here’s what EW had to say about three of the album’s tracks:
“Sneakernight” — The thumping first single “is a fun song about hanging out with your girlfriends and wearing sneakers,” says Hudgens, who’s no stranger to stiletto-induced red-carpet cramps. “When I show the video, I was like, ‘I cannot believe I’m wearing sneakers for the first time in a music video!’ It was awesome.”
“First Bad Habit” — Hudgens enlisted producer Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) to pump synths into this sassy anthem “about when you like a hug so much but know he’s a complete a–hole.” Is said rapscallion like any particular man in her life? “It hasn’t happened to me, but a lot of my friends have gone through so much crap.”
“Gone with the Wind” — “And now I’m standing my ground/And who I am/For that I’m proud,” she declares in this stripped-down ballad. “I just kind of went for it…. The song basically means: I know a lot more, and that timidness and naïveté is gone with the wind.”

I see school is out and the kids are out trying out new vocabulary.
I’m yet to understand that a music magazine like Blender with real music critics will give a song that stinks three stars like they gave Sneakernight, or that EW, a mainstream magazine would include an album by an untalented artist as one of their hot albums for the summer of which only a few were selected.
Hmm, now who to listen to, immature tweens whose vocab have not developed beyond ‘Stink’ ’stupid’ and ‘hate’ and who are yet to manage one recognised achievement in their lives or those whose experience of different kinds of music has given them the right to critique music. Thankfully, it is the latter who most reasonable adults will be listening to.
I love the sound of the tracks on her album. It’s great she got to work with Dr Luke. I really like the fact that Gone with the Wind is a ballad. With her mature voice, I’m sure she’ll sound amazing in it.
I’ve already pre-ordered a few copies of Identified. I can’t wait to receive them.
OMG i seriously cant wait for this frekin album.. it kinda took a while for “Sneakernight” to grow on me but **** now its on repeat on my iPod ha i LOVe you girl u Rock!

As we have seen from Vanessa, she’s comfortable in her on skin and I’m sure she doesn’t come on JJ looking at posts to make her feel bad. So really your wasting your time! It’s obvious your just looking for a reaction and the only reaction your getting is from FANS of Vanessa NOT VANESSA her self.
What’s the fun in that? She’s not interested in what you have to say, and neither are we. So maybe try and go to the gym… Do something good to channel the venom instead of taking it out on someone that doesn’t care..
You might actually see it works. Or if that fails, get help. It’s not good to have that much anger!

The rest of us, DO like it, DO like Vanessa, and that’s OUR opinion. She has great potential and it’s coming along nicely. You have to admit, her voice is really maturing, as is her beauty. And as far as the people who insist she go back to what she does “best”?? You people are just losers. There was one questionable private pic……….let’s name some others with countless numbers of trashy pics: Lindsay, Brittney, Christina, even Miley has more out there. So give it up already. She’s learned from that, and moved on. What kind of human beings are you???
