David Cook Dating Kimberly Caldwell

The newly crowned Idol winner David Cook and runner-up David Archuleta make an appearance at MTV studios in Times Square, New York City on Tuesday after an appearance on TRL to promote the upcoming American Idol Tour. (Their segment will air on Thursday.)

Earlier today on Live With Regis and Kelly, Cook, 25, admitted he recently had a dinner date with former Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell. Watch the video at TMZ.

When asked if he had a good time on his date at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Cook replied: “I did. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”

It’s an Idol romance!!

Caldwell, 26, appeared on the second season of Idol and met Cook through the show.

Let me just say this. Kim Caldwell is being tolerated by his fans. His fans are disappointed that he is so insecure that he had to pick up the only pretty face he thinks would go out with him. This guy is naive. Yeah, it was probably hard for him to get pretty girls to go out with him back then but god, Caldwell loves fame and money.

I do think she will effect his sales. DJ’s on radio stations were suprised that an A lister would be so stupid to latch on to a D list former Idol. There goes his credibility

And his latest song, Light On” is not that good. It is too mid tempo, wasn’t even written from him. Porcelain and Straight Up on Analog Heart were better than this.

I give this guy 2 years.

David Cook is a great musician….his girlfriends “is what it is”….maybe they will last, maybe they won’t….let’s see what his CD does….and what kind of musician he becomes….I get the feeling he wants it all…why not go for it while the stakes are high ….if he ends up back in Tulsa….that will be the true test if she loves him for “DC the AI winner” or “DC, the kid from Oklahoma”….

would anyone agree with me if I say that DC and Carrie Underwood look GREAT together. I mean, I’ve only seen them perform once during the AI Walt Disney experience, but they really look good together. I wish that someday, who knows, they might even date each other.
