Of all these celebrities, Angelina get the most criticism. She gets accused of being a serial baby adopter (wtf does that even mean?) and using children to “self-medicate”. Can the same not be said of these other parents? She gets vilified by those in the media and public yet Brad gets kudos for parenting the same children! Is he not a serial adopter as well for adopting Mad, Pax and Zee? I am not trying to criticize Brad. I just want to point out the double standard that exists.

Name me one male DUI whose gotten hammered by the press?? Heath ledger’s drug tape taken months before his death was buried - quite rightly so. But Angelina’s past including her non drug tape taken nearly 10 years ago?? LOL. plastered everywhere.

Why the tablie double standards? Because of the women who buy the magazines. Women have always been women’s own worst enemies. In Malaysia and Indonesia, it is muslim women who place pressure on other muslim women to wear the hijab. It was mothers who forced their daughters to bind their feet. a study quoted in the economist indicated that when men felt that they had been unfairly slagged will go confront the slagger. When a woman thinks she has been unfairly slagged, she retaliates by slagging back and spreading bitchy gossip about the slagger.

Tom Cruise may seem like the male celebrity exception. But actually, he is the exception which proves the rule. Tom rubbed just about EVERY WOMAN up the wrong way when he talked glibly about Post natal Depression. Almost every woman I know have bouts of Pre Menstrual Syndrome and can understand what hormones can do to a person post delivery. When Tom spoke so glibly about PND, he was also being equally dismissive and condescending about PMS.

So, its not a wonder that Tom Cruise is the favourite tablie whipping boy, because he is the favourite GIRLS whipping boy.

Otherwise, Tablies prefer to whip girls, because women prefer to whip women.

The best thing to do is to for us women to be as conscious as we can be about how we judge other men and other women? For example, Paris Hilton. Yes, she chases fame. And No, she doesn’t seem particularly talented as an actress or a singer or anything else.

But it seems to me Paris is smart enough to parlay her blond bimbo image into a good living - better than the most of us, doing presumably what she loves - partying. That’s not really different to being a Naomi Campbell who parlays her body and good looks to earn a living, doing what she errr, loves - modelling and beating up the cleaning woman.

Is paris any worse then naomi or linda evangelista or any of those so called “super” models out there? If not, why judge one woman badly. Why do we reserve our full contempt for Paris and not linda or christy or these other women who’ve done just as little or less than Paris has??

I am sorry to all the JP fans about the Environment Barry Post. I didn’t even read all the posts. I just lost it.
