Angelina Jolie - “Vanity Fair” July 2008
Angelina Jolie looks lip-smackingly good on the the July 2008 cover issue of Vanity Fair, out next week. Here’s a preview:
On being pregnant with twins: “I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depend-ing on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”
On her international family: “When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I was aware there were kids that didn’t have parents. It’s not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it as a sacrifice. It’s a gift. We’re all lucky to have each other. I look at Shiloh—because, obviously, physically, she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were little—and say, ‘If these were our brothers and sisters, how much would we have known by the time we were six that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished I had.”
On daughter Shiloh’s birth: “We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.”
On nannies never sleeping over: “We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher—wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Bel-gium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”
On artists as parents: “Artists raise their kids differently,” she said. “We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”

What has Angeline ever done of quality, besides start a human zoo?
*****************************************************************
I’d call your children human waste. On second thought, I wouldn’t even call them human if they take after you.
I see trinity is back but using different names, she’s always crying about how Angelina stole Brad from the fug face. But for someone who hates Angie .trinity always first one here,Everyone knows when you hate everyday that makes a person sick. But more power to the haters.
355 amle @ 05/31/2008 at 3:49 am Angelina always sounds like she is talking down to others. She is such a *****.
the picture isawful. too much photoshopping.

No, she’s just talking!
YOU are taking it as talking down to others. I don’t know why. You’re such a *****
I don’t like that cover picture either. She doesn’t need all that photoshopping. She is much better looking than that!
These people are always hating on Angie,But all good things coming to Angelina because she has very good Karma. She is always helping less fortunate people. This bring Powerful good energy to this lovely lady and her family.

State 0f the Arts: Clint’s nostalgia trip back to pre-Botox days of old
By Arifa Akbar
Clint Eastwood has come out in protest at the high levels of Botox in Hollywood.
The man with the craggiest face in cinema - but handsome with it - has spoken nostalgically about the “individuality” of screen starlet’s from the 1940s whose faces hadn’t been tampered with by Botox.
In an interview with Empire magazine, he praised Angelina Jolie, who plays the lead in his latest film, Changeling, as a “throwback.”
“She’s wonderful. To me it’s like she’s a throwback to the women in films of the ’40s. Not to say the women today aren’t great, but back then, there was more individuality, all the faces were different. They didn’t have the same Botox look.”
He then goes on to liken her to Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davis and Ingrid Bergman.
He’s got a point. And what’s more, most of the women he mentions grew old while still on our screens. Bette Davis and Katherine Hepburn gave some of the best performances of their careers in their later movies.
Having said that, many actresses have noted that the same facial crags and wrinkles that give Eastwood his “distinctiveness” on screen, would deem a woman too old to be cast in a lead role. Only last week, Gwyneth Paltrow told the world that she feared she would be replaced in Hollywood by someone younger and prettier in the years she took off to have her children.
I’m no advocate of it, but the lure of Botox must be strong indeed for actresses of a certain age who are ambitious to keep their movie careers going for as long as Eastwood has.
she looks ten years younger with her makeup on! she soo pretty!

She’s an artist. Actors/actresses always consider themselves artists. Doesn’t mean they have to paint you know.
++++++++++++++++
Here’s the irony of ShitzySpamboAmberInsaneBitchGal’s comment - ANGIE DOES PAINT. She once said in an interview that if she hadn’t been an actress she’d have loved to be a painter. She also said that when they were in Namibia for Shiloh’s birth she spent some of her days painting. Angie has also said in interviews that Brad is “a true artist” and can sit in a room amusing himself by drawing and noodling around FOR HOURS. And to top it all off - for years when Brad was married to X he kept art supplies and drafting boards in his Los Feliz house - you know, the house X wouldn’t live in, but Angie has no problem with, because neither it nor it’s locale was fancy-schmancy enough for her…and he’d spent some time with Putrid there! - and went there to work on his architectural crap and to get away from X.
So ShitzySpamboAmberInsaneBitchGal can put that in her hash pipe and get to toking.

The botox comment is rather ironic coming from a man who got a facelift a few years ago when he was well into his 70s!
This is a really bad cover. lips are awful and she lloks like a washed out hooker. She is much better looking than this even when out and about doing everyday things. Thumbs down to the cover designer.
Barbie mouthed. that is what I was loooking for. Her mouth looks like a barbie’s never closing mouth. Surprised she gave go ahead to this crappy cover.
Not my favorite cover, but wouldn’t call it awful. Her hair does look very fluffy, I think the problem with a lot of covers is that they are always trying to tweak things so they come off a bit artificial. It does not take away from the fact that she is a gorgeous and very talented lady.
Hello to all the fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to buy Vanity Fair this time also!!!
listen to all the hateful angie fans on here. calling peoples children human waste and people ugly, if they don’t say nice things about the woman they’re obsessed with!
if i were angie, i’d be afraid of freaks like that :(
they sound like a bunch of disgruntled, bitter girls who have latched onto angie as their hero. probably ugly as a bag of rotten trash themselves.
I’m in love with Angelina! Horaay! I love these interviews! She looks 1950s chic and exudes the luxurious of Old Hollywood bombshells
wow @ 05/31/2008 at 5:22 pm
Anybody who refers to children as a “human zoo” qualifies as waste in my book.
If you have a problem with that, deal with it.
ALL THE PEOPLE CALLING HER A HOOKER ARE CLEARLY UNAWARE OF THE STYLE OF MAKE-UP OF CLASSIC HOLLYWOOD AND OBVIOUSLY THAT WAS THE LOOK THEY WERE GOING FOR: LUXURIOUS, CURVACIOUS OLD-STYLE BOMBSHELL. BIG HAIR, DEEP RED LIPS. PLEASE FLIP THROUGH A 50S, 60S, OR 70S FASHION MAG
they are a human waste when trying to de-humanize children, deal with it, the fanistons have said and contiue to say MUCH worse, go preach this on a maniston thread .
SHE IS EXUDING BRIDGETTE BARDOT, MARILYN MONROE, OR SOPHIA LOREN
luckly l those idiots are probably a bunch of 13yrs old who are overweight and jealous and have acne problems and didn’t get invited to the school dance, life isn’t fair, lol, they will NEVER be in angie’s league.
NYP, I really do concur, but there are also the insecure girls who may be half-decent looking, but need to realize that Angelina’s beauty if only accentuated when make-up is applied with it, she’s perfectly gorgeous without it, unlike them, who probably must cake it on by 7AM to achieve any sense of security or beauty.
And, COME ON HATERS, we all know her beauty starts from the INSIDE and continues right on the outer-surface. And anyone because a giant bigot and/or racist and/or monstrous waste of space big mouth in regards to their comments to her children, need to get their head checked and need to do some humantarian work of their own and stop being bitter, tasteless, and annoying. THERE ARE A BUNCH OF OTHER THREADS.
