OlderAngelina Jolie - “Vanity Fair” July 2008
Angelina Jolie looks lip-smackingly good on the the July 2008 cover issue of Vanity Fair, out next week. Here’s a preview:
On being pregnant with twins: “I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depend-ing on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”
On her international family: “When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I was aware there were kids that didn’t have parents. It’s not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it as a sacrifice. It’s a gift. We’re all lucky to have each other. I look at Shiloh—because, obviously, physically, she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were little—and say, ‘If these were our brothers and sisters, how much would we have known by the time we were six that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished I had.”
On daughter Shiloh’s birth: “We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.”
On nannies never sleeping over: “We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher—wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Bel-gium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”
On artists as parents: “Artists raise their kids differently,” she said. “We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”

Not very deep; the Esquire and Marie Claire pieces last summer were better, I thought. This one has some good photos, though.
I don’t know…it just kind of irks me that AJ is always telling us “common folk” that we need to help the starving children on the other side of the world (since there are apparently NO starving children here in the USA), but she keeps popping out these new (blobs) mouths to feed. Seems sorta hypocritcal to me

Angie got 4 children, pregnant with twins got her career and still manage to go to iraq and to lobby. Dont forget about the children she adopted. She donates one third of her salary and she goes to places where she thinks help is need while you just sit on your a$$ complaining. Even Rush Limbaugh, who don’t usually say good things to anyone liberal admire angelina while you a nobody has the audacity to say that angie is a hypocrite.
What had X done in the past 3 years after the divorce other than lay in the beach tanning.

hey guys, just curious did no one catch the VF article’s derogatory tone, or that the author still seems to imply over and over gain that Angie stole Brad from aniston? like in his high school analogy? i am very surprised about how subtly unfriendly and distancing this article is- i hope Angelina will not give them another interview. Although the pics are fun.

The pictures of Angie in VF site is freaking awesome!! Angie is still looking gorgeous!!
Just read the VF article online. Glad to hear Angie explain the family history behind their chose of the name Shiloh. Many Baptist churches are named Shiloh. Brad’s family is Baptist. And Angie’s mother was Catholic. So I knew they chose the name Shiloh based on the biblical meaning behind the name - NOT BECAUSE IT WAS A CIVIL WAR BATTLE. THE MEDIA SEEMS SO CLUELESS. Anybody with any Christian teachings could have told the media that the name has a biblical connotation. It was also funny to hear that Angie used the name as an alias when she traveled, before Shiloh was born.

Angelina’s Fake Assistant Feeding Media Lies
Last week Entertainment Tonight had an “exclusive” about Angelina Jolie giving birth, but Jolie is still very much pregnant. So what went wrong? According to Jossip.com, someone who claims to be Jolie’s rep fed the story to ET.
Some woman impersonating Angelina’s longtime assistant Holly Goline used a fake Blackberry address to send erroneous reports to the press–for the past year! A year!! How does that go unnoticed??
Jolie’s attorneys at Lavely & Singer are reportedly going to send letters to various media outlets explaining the situation.
Says the letter:
“A random individual has engaged in a scheme to intentionally harm my client and deceive her fans, the public and the media through illegal and tortuous impersonation of Ms Jolie’s long-time assistant, Holly.
“The individual who claims to be, and to whom the media has relied upon as, a ‘reliable source’ is not my client’s assistant, nor does the email address belong to my client’s assistant.”
This chick has way too much time on her hands. She basically devoted the last year of her life to sending media outlets bogus stories.

Yeah, I caught it. Which is one reason why I’m not wasting a dime on the magazine, now or ever. It’s not necessary to buy it anyway; the entire article is online. Just print it out.

Actually, now that I think about her looking like a model, I knew she reminded me of someone, but I couldn’t put my finger on who. Now I remember. In that pic, she looks like Kristian Alfonso (Hope-Days of Our Lives). Kristian is a model as well in real life, or at least did do modelling shoots regularly. Angelina looks a lot like Kristian in that pic.
Wow, what a striking cover for Angie. Although I really just don’t like her all that much. I just don’t like her acting at all.
Can’t wait to buy the July issue! I love Angelina, she has really matured since her Billy Bob days.
