OlderAngelina Jolie - “Vanity Fair” July 2008
Angelina Jolie looks lip-smackingly good on the the July 2008 cover issue of Vanity Fair, out next week. Here’s a preview:
On being pregnant with twins: “I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depend-ing on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”
On her international family: “When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I was aware there were kids that didn’t have parents. It’s not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it as a sacrifice. It’s a gift. We’re all lucky to have each other. I look at Shiloh—because, obviously, physically, she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were little—and say, ‘If these were our brothers and sisters, how much would we have known by the time we were six that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished I had.”
On daughter Shiloh’s birth: “We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.”
On nannies never sleeping over: “We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher—wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Bel-gium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”
On artists as parents: “Artists raise their kids differently,” she said. “We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”

I heartily agree. X is almost unrecognizable these days. You need to tell her to lay off the nose jobs. She’s one op away from Michael Jackson. Oh yeah…and tell X to save her money on those collegen injections for her lips. Now they’re the width of 10 human hairs instead of 3…not that much of an improvement if you ask me… And she can’t even move her forehead anymore from all that Botox. Anybody who though her acting was stiff in the past is in for a real treat when the dog flick hits. I might pay for a matinee just to see if she can raise her eyebrows… Okay…THAT was over the top. I’ll never play money for an X flick…

jenho fans can bash angie as much as they want but it wont change the fact that she is the most beautiful actress in the world and she is the only woman that brad ever loved.

If brad and angelina thought for one minute that their travelling would be harmful to the children , they will definitely stop.
They know their family better than anyone else and just because they are in the public eye does not give anyone the right to judge how they raise their children.

Every family is different and it is very ignorant to say what works for one family works for everyone else and anyone who seperates from what society says must be severely judged.
Kids that stay in one place doesn’t always work out that they will be stable and the same for kids that travel.
Every situation is different but what is very clear from those children is that they are very much loved and that is what comes above everything else in these children’s early years.

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS!!! One man all by himself is nothing. Two people who belong together make a world.
Any place they go to is home because they are together. You will never understand because you have never loved like that.
Not fond of the photo. I think it evokes Julie Newmar which in of itself is not by a longshot a bad thing “if you are a Julie Newmar fan of which I am.” I lay my less than enthralled opinion at the feet of the photog. Don’t know what he/she was aiming for, but in my opinion they missed the mark.
It’s not the first time I’ve loved other photos of Angelina Jolie more and nor will it be the last. That said, I love the spirit and total beauty of the woman regardless.

Rumors that Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins got spa-looged all over the interwebs this morning.
However, our ears have perked up and heard whisperings alluding otherwise.
In fact, not only have we heard Jolie still has the twins in tact, we’ve heard it’s a girl and a boy– not two girls.
But alas, time will tell.
Hold on to it Shiloh. Hold on.

Cliniqua…that’s a good point. I forgot about Wanted. But those boys are not in the Vanity Fair demographic at all. Still, their teaser is getting attention everywhere, so it makes sense.
I think they smartly led with this photo (which is unexpected and not the typical high art look they produce) to get people to buy and see what’s inside. I know I’m curious to see the rest.

ok, stfu. this interview shouldn’t even be about her personal life whatsoever. At this point she doesn’t need to talk about Pitt… she has said enough… even defended him against accusations that he only started charity because of her. When has he ever defended her? Anyone talking about angie and brad falling out of love or losing interest in each other is either not in a relationship or cannot stay in a relationship.
Anyone who is in a loving relationship knows that every day that you have together and every experiences that you share makes your love for each other stronger. Brad and angie have shared grief, (the death of angie’s mom), joy (shiloh’s birth) and watching their children grow right before their eyes. These are memories that cannot be taken and cannot be forgotten. Why do you think brad has not left angie’s side from day 1. They cannot bear to be away from each other and their family
Brad and angie love each other more today than yesterday but not half as much as tomorrow.
Passing Through…Plenty of people (fans included) have weighed in on this one and the feelings are definitely mixed. Not sure why you feel the need to single me out, despite the fact that I paid her the highest compliment on her beauty that one can.
I made it clear that I felt it was a styling issue, not her fault. I admit the lipstick shade complaint may be picky. But if you can honestly defend mismatched eyebrow shading, mussed hair, and an ill-fitting bodice, then I’m not sure I respect your opinion any more than you respect mine.

Now if they have a boy and a girl that would be great,no matter ,boy or girls they will be so loved by their mom and dad.
Angie is just sharing her experiences giving birtht o her fans. She is not trying to lecture on how to give birth. If you are not a fan then you should not share her experiences because you will just be miserable because you won’t feel her joy of giving birth.
