Plot summer via Wiki: John Malkovich plays Ozzie Cox, a CIA vet who is fired because he is an alcoholic. He takes his revenge by writing some inflammatory memoirs. Cox’s soon-to-be ex-wife Katie (Tilda Swinton) steals the disc containing his memoirs and accidentally leaves it at the gym where it is found by a trainer, Chad Feldheimer (Pitt) and the gym’s owner, Linda Litzke (Frances McDormand). They believe they can use the info to blackmail Cox. Harry Pfarrer (Clooney) is an oversexed, fanatically fit, lactose-intolerant federal marshal who is sleeping with Cox’s wife. He meets Linda via an online dating service and gets entangled in the blackmail scheme, when he stumbles across Chad breaking into his and Katie’s house.
Burn After Reading is due to premiere on August 27 and will open the 2008 Venice Film Festival. The film is the Coen brothers’ first since the Academy Award-winning No Country For Old Men. Watch the trailer below!

DDL is 51 years old. I wonder why he hasn’t been voted “the sexiest man alive” yet if he is that sexy as someone said here. NOT even once. lol. I guess most woman don’t think he is sexy. errr.

Daniel Day-Lewis successfully avoided the “Sexiest Man Alive” type of pitfalls, so now the press knows they might as well leave him alone. But to think that no one is interested in his off-screen life is silly.

Are you crazy ? DDL is a great , talented actor but not good looking , he does not need to avoid the title of the “Sexiest man ” coz he ain’t got a chance and far from a candidate. Just like Philip Saymour Hoffman, or John Malkovich, these guys are talented and good actors but don’t think they are close to be a candidate for the“Sexiest Man Alive”.

It sounds like it might be good. Although I’m a bit weary of a George Clooney-Brad Pitt pairing. I like them individually but I find them so insufferably smug in the “Ocean’s Eleven” francise that they render the movies unwatchable. Still this a different plot so maybe it won’t be so bad. But one I wonder is will it REALLY be funnier then “No Country for Old Men?” LOL

I don’t know Guli…DD-L circa LOTM was pretty damned hot. He’s broken his nose a couple of times since then, but he definitely brought the heat with that movie. Couldn’t stand Madeline Stowe in it as his love interest…but DD-L looked pretty fine to me…
DDL is absolutely brilliant in the movie roles he plays. However he is not near close to ” the sexiest man alive”.
cook, i’ll give you that and agree to a degree. you have to know though that a lot of people who don’t just follow along to get along make that call for themselves as well. i bet if you asked most of the women here you find that they are all independant thinking people who have varied ideas of who looks good and who is sexy. this man just appeals to so many because there seems to be even more to him than just the aesthetics.
People Magazine should change the title to “Sexiest WHITE American Actor Alive and maybe, sometimes, Denzel” would be more appropriate…hahahahaha

…sure, baby…I ain’t out to change any minds…I’m giving my opinion in response to someone up there beating up someone else for their entitled opinion…Angelina is as GORGEOUS as anyone that most people have seen but, I’m not gonna blanket a statement and say Most and Best…I would need to see EVERYONE to do such a thing…Now, I think she’s beautiful and not sexy to me…physically, there are parts of me that know sexy, long before my eyes have focused…haha…and even then, my eyes and parts don’t agree…hahahahaha

Jesus. Give it a rest already. DD-L has NEVER aspired to be The Sexiest Man Alive. What’s his age got to do with it anyway? Denzel was in his 40s when he won it. Porgie was 45 the last time he won it and I don’t think Porgie is attractive in any way, shape or form, yet he’s actively wh#red himself TWICE for the title and gotten it. Once for Porgie, maybe. But twice? Hellz no. They only gave it to him a second time because Porgie and Brad kept joking back and forth about it.
The Sexiest Man Alive title isn’t even about sex appeal anymore. It’s a freaking politcal campaign and given to someone with a movie coming out, who’s had a recent hit or has expressed interest in getting the title. Look at Matt Damon. He didn’t deserve the title either. He’s sexy only if you’re into asexual people. I think someone like Robert Downey, Jr., at his most drugged out, was sexier than Matt Damon, but you never saw him out there campaigning for the title either.
