Tom Cruise play it up for the cameras with wife Katie Holmes at their housewarming party in Beverly Hills on Saturday.
Celebrity guests included: Brooke Shields, Eva Longoria-Parker, Jennifer Lopez, Kirstie Allie, Kyra Sedgwick, Oprah Winfrey, Tobey Maguire, and Victoria Beckham. Oprah’s BFF Gayle King and Jeremy Piven also attended.
Wolfgang Puck catered the star-studded event.

Where are all the big “stars” that they said would be there? Yeah, right…..the same big stars that didn’t make it to Tom’s big 25 year “party” on Oprah. The only true stars on that show were Dustin Hoffman and Renee Zellweger. Of the 1000’s of people he worked with over 25 years, these are the only “stars” that even cared to speak on Tom’s behalf.

Besides the robot, every woman in the first photo is fat or moderately overweight with the exception of the woman in the white coat and the one behind her in black. It’s pretty obvious that skinny genes do not run in katie’s family. Therefore, it is true that she is starving herself to be skinny. Of course, she’s pretty thick from the waist down but her upper body looks like that of a 14 year old boy. No matter how much she diets, her body from the waist down will be huge. I feel for her having this problem. Money certainly can’t fix it

When you buy a Beverly Hills estate for a reported $35 million, you don’t just throw any old house warming party.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes threw a lavish, over-the-top house warming last night for more than 500 guests. The couple and their daughter, Suri, recently moved into the 10,000 square foot home with seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms that they purchased last year.
The party was a who’s who of A-listers. Reese Witherspoon showed up holding hands with boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal. Kimora Lee Simmons, wearing a red cocktail dress, arrived with Djimon Hounsou. Eva Longoria Parker, in canary yellow cocktail dress, brought her sister as her date. Prince, Sean Combs, Kirstie Alley and Oprah Winfrey all attended the bash.
Many of Cruise’s former costars also came to celebrate including Tobey Maguire (Tropic Thunder), Ben Stiller (Tropic Thunder), Dakota Fanning (War of The Worlds) and Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire). And, of course, there was family: Cruise’s mother and sister were among the first guests to arrive.
It was no small feat pulling off this party. Crews from Town and Country events had been setting up tents in the backyard of the new TomKat compound for days. An army of valets were on-hand as were eight police officers to direct the stream of limousines that began arriving around 8 p.m.
The Cruise’s spared no expense for this gathering. Famed chef Wolfgang Puck catered the event and a full band provided entertainment. Every contingency was thought of, even an ambulance and EMT unit were on hand just in case they were needed.

My glasses are not rose colored. Take a look around you. The WORLD is made up of women of all different sizes. Look up the word “obese”. Overweight or “could stand to lose a few pounds” is one thing, obese is something completely different. There is no need to be so critical.

The GMD’s big gay party
The GMD bought a house for Katie last year. It’s now finally ready, renovated, and ripe for a party. So this weekend they had one. And invited all their famous friends and frauds. Among them the usual spattering of Scientologists like Kirstie Ally and forever B listers like Eva Longoria and the Posh was there too, but also Kyra Sedgwick which is random and who I love and La Lopez somehow found a babysitter but only for one night OF COURSE because she says she doesn’t have a nanny.

None other than the Mighty Opes who likes to keep it low key when she spends time in California but couldn’t turn down the invitation since she and Tom Cruise are besties again. And even more intriguing:

I don’t think Brooke is an idiot for going to TC’s party. She is thinking of employment. Just like Matt Lauer, Brooke is in the business where it doesn’t pay to be someone’s public enemy, especially someone with enough money and at present heads a studio.
