Vanessa Hudgens keeps it cute in Diane von Furstenberg while backstage at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday in Universal City, Calif.
Both Hudgens and costar boyfriend Zac Efron didn’t walk the gold carpet but posed together backstage with Zac’s popcorn statue for Breakthrough Performance.

Nice to see themat the awards and they look great as usual, perhaps they did’nt fancy a lot of fuss made about them coming together so they decided not to walk the red carpt,but at least they still posed togther so it’s all good.
I’m sure that Zac has a little red love heart on his shirt that’s what it look’s like to me in picture number 1, it just caught my eye. Love the colour on Zac it’s a nice change from the black he normally wear’s, although I love the black and white on him this looked really good too.

The only thing I did’nt like with Nikki was when she called him Zaccy mainly becasue he’sgoing to be 21 this year and it just did’nt sound right, other than that t does’nt bother me.
I can see why the Zikki fans probably got excited but to me I have only ever seen them together as people who made a film together, done all the promotion work that went with it, atttended awards along with the other cast member’s again to do with the film they had just done, but once that was all done with they went their seperate ways and back to being with the people they was with before, becuase other than HS related things you have never sen them out and about togther, I can imagine Zac as being very polite whenever he would see Nikki which obvioulsy in their buisness you at some point see people that you have worked with in the past but that’s all not some big connection or friendship that they supposedly have.
It might just be me but when Nikki did shout out that comment Zac seemed a bit embarrsed by it, but that’s just my opinion.
Loved what Vanessa was wearing and she looked really pretty, great to see her give Zac a kiss as well and at the end of the day why shold’nt she after all her man had just won an award and she was showig her pride in that so good for her.

First of all, congrats to Zac, again! I loved the fact that he mentioned his fans as supporters. He was so nice and decent during his speech. He was so Zac. *wink*
Secondly, I’m glad that JJ did two posts and didn’t mention Zac and Vanessa under the name of ‘Zanessa’. Don’t get me wrong, I love them together as a couple but they are two individuals so in a way for me it’s healthier to talk about their work and success separately. So thank you, Jared! *claps and cheers*
Thirdly, they looked gorgeous as always. I loved his suit and her dress and I think their clothes were appropriate for the event (as opposed to Johhny Depp’s jeans and shoes - not to mention, why was it so hard to make a speech without a chewing gum? I like him and all but last night he was ‘too cool’ for my taste.).
And last but not least, I’m glad that both Zac and Vanessa could make an appearance. And I’m so happy that Dylan Efron was there as well! It seemed they had a fun night!
And here I make a wish. We heard Vanessa saying she was proud of her man during the Palm Springs after party in the Extra interview. We heard Zac saying he was proud of her girl when they made an interview for Extra on the HSM3 set. We saw Vanessa’s happy face when Lindsay announced Zac’s name. We saw her giving him a kiss on his cheek. My only wish is simple: I want to see Vanessa winning an individual award (for example, for her role in ‘Rock On’) and Zac’s face (and actions) when her name is announced. That would be priceless. (I can dream, can’t I?)

I love the respect they are gaining in Hollywood because of the inobtrusive way they conduct themselves. For a couple so young, they really do behave like a long married couple and it appears most people treat them that way. That is refreshing to see.

Love that they went together. Their behavior was perfect….together but not making obvious overt moves. Vanessa stepped back and let him have his moment before joining him. he made a sweet and humble speech. Love how he included all the other nominees.
So true Boji (your comment about V and Z), and to think these are not fans but independent celebrity commentators who have been around celebrities for so long to be able to tell genuine couples (to an extent).
I really really like that they chose not to walk the red carpet. There are times they know they cannot avoid publicity or the paps but I like that when they can, they try to stay under the radar just to give themselves much needed privacy.
I think that might be partly the reason they are gaining real respect in hollywood. AOL mentioned in an article that they’ve observed that Vanessa keeps away from the media. That made me so happy when I read that as it shows that people do recognise that both Z and V try not to attend events except when necessary, rarely initiate statements to the press and generally try to stay low key despite the hounding of paps. They could exploit the popularity of their relationship to boost themselves publicly but they choose not to because it’s just too precious to them. I hope other young couples in hollywood emulate them.

I totally agree with your comment about Zac and Vanessa and why they might not have walked the carpet they do it when they know they have to and it’s to do with their job it’s expected and that’s okay . But like any other couple they are entitled to attend other events when and if they want to and if they choose to try and go low key then that’s their choice.
And like a lot of people I love them becuase it’s so refreshing to see a couple very much in love and doing little gesture’s but not over the top that let people know around them that they are together but that they treasure what they’ve got and as Zac said ‘ relactionships are sacred and between two people’ and they show that by keeping it low key, but the look’s say it all.
Hollywood should be proud of them for showing how a relactionship should be conducted in a very tainted town and buisness at time’s, I know there not perfect nobody is we all have our flaws famous or not, but they are still a credit to the younger generation.
And what’s the point incomparing Ashley with Vanessa or the other way round, as I have said before theyre both talented and pretty in their own way and after all they are indivudals with their own minds and each have their boyfriens so sory Jashley fans but it’s not gonna happen, the recent pictures of Ashley with her man were lovely and she looks realy happy and that’s what her fans should be looking at not hoping that she and Zac will getg together. Vanessa is happy with her guy and Ashley with her’s so that’s all their is to it.

I would think that by the time one has made the Forbes list of best paid entertainers under the age of 25 (like Vanessa did in 2006), had a gold record (with very LITTLE promotion) had their upcoming tour named one of the most anticipated of the summer by “Entertainment Weekly” and co-starred in a pop culture phemonan one would have passed “wannabe” status. It is unfortunate that most people will post here. I LOVE Zac and Vanessa BUT this was Zac’s night. I’m not saying I don’t want to see pictures of them together from this event BUT when we get those pictures some people forget the purpose of the pictures. Some have become only invested in pictures of “Zanessa”. But these pictures didn’t come from them being caught out at a basketball game together or shopping, etc. It was a major event for Zac. We didn’t expect to see Zac in pictures where Vanessa was promoting her new CD. AND if Vanessa ever would win a Grammy I hope people will know it is about HER and not “Zanessa” even if she would show up at the award with him. Some of you people need to understand that with all your demands of “Zanessa” it almost forces them to appear alone at functions because they can’t tell if they are important to fans because of their accomplishments(as in this award) or because everyone just wants to see them together. You are making a lot of pressure for these two where there shouldn’t be any.

I would also like to agree with the great comments about how Zac and Vanessa handle public appearances!! They are really supportive to each other, and always step back for the other to shine. They aren’t “all over each other” and what PDA they do show, it’s always SOOO appropriate. They have so much maturity about themselves, and are very protective about their privacy. I admire that so much about them.
Vanessa looked stunning last night. I love how she dresses, so pretty, but not in a flashy way. I’m sure she doesn’t want to take attention away from Zac on his big night, so it’s not at all her fault if fans seem more interested in her and Zanessa than in Zac. I’m just glad she was able to make it and support her guy.
She looks great. Maybe next year it’ll be her on that stage with Zac cheering her on.

Hey,Steph, you know I love Vanessa but I’m just not too crazy about this number on her. it’s just my opinion/critique as I find the colours a little dull and the drape/flounces does add pounds to her petite frames. Maybe it would have looked better if she had a broad brown/beige belt to clinch and emphasize her waist. (broad at the side and back but narrow infront) I sound like a fashion critique.
Kgg, I agree. Almost every magazine I pick up has a picture of Vanessa and something to do with hair style or giving her kudos for her fashion sense–how she pairs a top with a pair of pants and all the accessories. I think the bracelet she wore in one photoshoot says it all: “Fashion you can acquire. Style you must possess.”

So happy to see them together at a major awards event in LA. They definitely decided that there would be less commotion over them if they skipped the carpet. I don’t think that they like all the paparazzi attention because it must irritate other actors while undermining their hope to be taken seriously by Hollywood. They are so professional - I agree with others who say they show an amazing maturity.
This is definitely a new stage for their relationship - out in the open and beside each other to support one another. The little gestures they give to each other are so wonderful without being over the top - as others have observed. They acknowledge each other so intensely and completely with their eyes, expressions and gestures. Must be an amazing place to be! Even if they go separate ways one day (zanessa forever!), they will always be blessed to have shared these years. A truly amazing couple, especially in the glaring light of their profession.
Now I bring up the rings. I am so certain that Zac will not wear his again but perhaps I will be proven wrong. I was wrong about Vanessa not wearing hers again - she had it on last night. Zac is showing everyone that the ring means nothing about his commitment to Vanessa. But he sure looked good with that ring on his finger - do miss it!

I have to say, Zac and Vanessa both seem so much more relaxed and happy that they are not being hounded by the paps. THey either are really good at scheduling off hour flights or they drove back down to LA. That is what I think they did. I think they drove and picked Dylan up along the way. Maybe spent a day or night at Zac’s parents. Either that or they just stayed in or dodged the paps in LA. I wonder if they have gone back to Salt Lake yet?

I know it’s in good fun that we sometimes speculate (when Zac was gone for a long time filming MAOW) and we had our little qualms about the heart on his shirt-but that essay is brilliant.
It’s good to know there are fans out there that can think this way. thinking positive takes effort-but I’m willing to do the work to keep it positive not just for Zac/Vanessa, but my personal life.

I think being rational and positive are what true fans are all about. We don’t jump to conclusions and are supportive no matter what. But being positive is definitely a personal choice. Some people just can’t do it, because they’re pessimists and have such a negative outlook. Personally, that would be too draining to always be so negative.
sara, being positive certainly has made me a happy, well-balanced person, and I know it will be wonderful for you too. I thought the commentary was right on at ZA Angels. I’d like to think that being positive has helped attitudes here too!!

I also think he has a good voice….it has a nice edge and good emotion! His voice was so much better than Drew Seeley’s in HSM 1. His voice was too high-pitched. It was one of the aspects of HSM 2 I liked best- Zac singing!!
But I do respect Zac’s choice in going with acting. You have to choose what will ultimately make you happy, and if it’s not his first love, then acting is the way to go for him!

My daughter and I were watching HSM2 the other day and she come out with a comment that a lot of us here would agree with and that was that Vanessa has a natural beauty about her, which I think is so true and to be honest I don’t think you see many actresse’s like that, to many slap a lot of make up on or have a load of work done to themselves to try and get that look. I think natural is always best and with Vanessa you can see why Zac is always full of smile’s when he talks about her and look’s at her, it’s no wonder their proud of each other they have good reason to be.

Like you I can’t wait to hear the new songs from HSM3, there was supposedly a new list out the other day and this one had Troy and Gabriella singing 3 songs together and also the one that Corbin mentioned that he and Zac are doing, must admit the song titles suited the people who would be singing them if it is the right list.
From HSM2 my daugter’s favourite songs are You Are The Music In Me, loves Gotta Go My Own Way, and Zac’s Bet On It, I like all of them plus All For One especially when Zac and Vanessa are dancing with their heads touching each other’s and big smiles on their faces it look’s like they really enjoyed it.
I watched Conan earlier, and Emanuelle Criqui was on promoting the movie, The Zohan movie (the new Adam Sandler movie) and I couldn’t help but think how much she resembles Vanessa! I think Emanuelle is very beautiful and she and Vanessa have the same features, and as I was watching her interview, all I could think about was how much she looks like Vanessa! For those who know who Emanuelle is, do you think she resembles Vanessa?

Rosielee 9 - You are so right about that adorable part in “All For One” when the two have their heads together and smiling into each other’s face. My favorite song is “You Are the Music In Me” because it so captures their relationship. When they sing “And like a common thread ” and then Zac follows with “You’re pulling me” - it is so amazing. And I love the part when he jumps up on the piano and leans back, looks into her eyes and strokes her arm.
At the MTV awards, you can just feel their mutual respect. After Zac wins and Vanessa gives him a little peck on the cheek, he reaches over and squeezes her leg in acknowledgment. I also love the way that Vanessa is holding onto his award with him in a couple of the photos - it is like she is recognizing how fabulous the award is for Za and wants to share in the magic.
These two never leaves the other hanging out there. Oh wait - I just remembered a time when Zac did just that. It was after the “scandal” and they were leaving a restaurant. Vanessa had her hair up and was holding a cup of coffee. Zac left her standing on the curb with the paps asking all sorts of questions while he went to his side and unlocked the car. After that incident, I noticed that Zac always made sure that Vanessa is not left out there.

‘You Are The Music In Me’ suits Zac and Vanessa so well even when they are standing by the piano at the begining if you look really close Zac has his hand around Vanessa’s waist then and when he walks away from her he gives her his usual little rub, and with that song too I love it when Vanessa is sat on the piano and Zac look’s up at her and rubs her knee again it’s little things like that that to me shows the love between these two as themselves as well as portraying the love that Troy and Gabriella found in each other that has helped to make HSM such a hit from the start.
I loved the clips from the awards and again the sublte affection they showed towards one another not over the top but still full of love and affection in their own way.
Thinking about it now your right about how after that incident at the coffee shop that Zac does’nt leave Vanessa out on her own with the pap’s if he is with her, his birthday is another prime example of how protective he is of her I loved his comment to her on that night’you alright babe’ when the press were getting a bit to close to her and the look he gave the one who asked Vanessa if it was true that she had been dropped from HSM3 was again very protective and annoyed that he would even have the nerve to ask her that question.
Zac has proved to be a very loyal, loving, protective boyfriend who said it perfect in one word and that was that he was ‘ proud’ of Vanessa and visa versa Vanessa has shown her pride in her man too and as said has much, to me they are a very well suited couple in all the aspects of a relactionship and a couple who want to make it work and are willing to put that work in as young as they are as I have said before they are a credit to how a relactionship should be conducted and worked on if you want it to last.

liz, I think it’s gonna be all good. It’s Disney, afterall, and there’d be riots on their hands if it doesn’t end happily. The only thing is, that ending could be not what we expect, but I still think they’ll end it on a positive note. It will probably have a good message about college, working hard, and following your dreams. That’s my guess!
After reading all the recent comments, like Boji’s, about HSM 1 and 2, I was thinking about how easy it must be for Kenny Ortega to capture those tender Zac and Vanessa moments everyone mentioned. It must be a dream for Kenny to have these two to work with, because they MEAN every look, every touch, every word. Not to mention how photogenic and beautiful they look together.

Go Sox - As Kenny has said many times, he saw the chemistry between Zac and Vanessa even before they know that they had it! That is one reason why he is good at what he does. He recognized the powerful pull that Zac and Vanessa would have together before anyone even knew that HSM would be the sensation it is. I totally agree that the reason why HSM is such a success is because of Zac and Vanessa. I love the rest of the ensemble but it is these two that make it the phenom.
I am wondering if any one else is sort of turned off to “Camp Rock” because it so obvious that Disney is trying to copy the HSM formula. From the ads, it seems that the two leads in that DOC do not have any of the special connection. Camp Rock will be a success because it is a vehicle for the Jonas Brothers, especially Joe, but not because it will have the special moments of HSM. Not knocking the Jonas Brothers - they are talented - but Disney is way overdoing their exposure - like Miley/Hannah.

Yup, Disney is sure trying to capture the success it had with HSM in Camp Rock. If perhaps, the chemistry has overflowed off screen like it did with HSM, then maybe the success will be guaranteed. Highly unlikely. But, then again, too much of a good thing can be a drag/bore.
Disney should come up with a better storyline, I say.
Now, it seems Selena Gomez has jumped onto the bandwagon with her declaration of a promise/purity ring. It is really admirable of her,but hey folks, she’s only 15yrs old like Miley Cyrus. Britney was the same. Let’s wait till say in 5 yrs time and see if the tune’s the same.
As to the Jonas brothers’purity rings, I’ll predict they’ll marry early, cause that’s the only way they’ll get to taste the forbidden fruit. Sorry, I’m being cynical here.
I’m sure “Camp Rock” will a ratings hit for the Disney Channel because of the popularity of the Jonas Brothers. And there will probably be the prerequsite sequel. But Disney is clearly marketing this as our nest “HSM”-level francise and that in my oh so very humble opinion is exactly why it WON’T be as successful.
The first “High School Musical” was NEVER seen or promoted as anything other then just another Disney Channel Original Movie or DCOM as they’ve become known in internet shorthand. But there was no way anyone know the pop culture phemonan that was about to be born. Sure it’s got a terrific young cast with a lot of chemistry, but it’s more then that. “HSM” came along at the right time and touched on something we probably didn’t even know was missing. I’m not even sure what it is, but it touched on it big time. It was something that you can calculate. And that’s what they’re trying to do with “Camp Rock.”
As I said before I’m sure it will be be successful and I’m sure it will probably be entertaining in its own way. But another “HSM”? No way.

I agree with everyone that about Camp Rock has been overexposed I think it will have good ratings because of the Jonas Brothers, but like everyone said there is nothing that will top HSM’s success! I remeber the day that they were started showing the promos they were burly you couldn’t see the stars faces at all and then as December hit they started sayin HSM coming soon. So like everyone said HSM was a phenomen in it’s own right!
i dont think zanessa was what made hsm what it is i believe a large portion of that was b/c of ashley and lucas and of course zanessa but without the mean kids it woudlnt have been half as good in my opinion and camp roock iwll get a lot of viewers b/c of the jonas bros but the next hsm? no way

I love You Are the Music in Me as it seems like it was written for Zac and Vanessa. And considering Zac has talked about how he liked the song—”you are the life, you are the fun, you are the music. I just love it”. Well, it says a lot as to how it struck him. But every time I hear “The Start of Something New”—and I know that was from HSM1but—it is almost like some kind of foreshadowing to that relationship in real life for them. But I also find the words to Everyday to be quite prophetic when it has come to this two sweet people. And I don’t think they missed it in reality:

I love everyday as well. In fact I love all of the songs zac and vanessa sing together. Even go my own way as sad as it is.
How goes your afternoon?
I’m doing fairly well, Narf. This past week has been hard due to all the horrible storms we’ve had. Our electric has been off more times than I care to say and then last night when we thought the storms and electric outage was past us, the whole front part of our house lost power. We would turn one thing on and then another part of the house would lose electric… About everything is working right now but the refrigerator has a chord running into the living room so we can have power to it. Who knows what’s going on? A little over a year ago we had the whole house rewired so I have no clue as to what is going on now!
Anyway, I also love Gotta to Go My Own Way. I think the “secret” as to why Zac and Vanessa’s song together are so moving they put genuine feeling into them. They just reach back and let it go because they trust each other so much and it’s the real deal when it comes to emotions. After all, I would imagine in their time together they have had a few moments where they have parted ways in anger even if for an hour or a day. It happens to all couples so they had something to go on when doing that song. Also, they did that song after parting ways for Zac to go do Hairspray and Vanessa to do the HSM tour, so they knew what it was like to “go my own way.”

“Everyday” is a great song although some lines sound more like they were made for the rhyme than for the meaning ie “Use our voices and scream out loud.” Huh? But I do love the line “There’s more to life when we listen to our heart and because of you I’ve got the strength to start.” So true.
Any time that Zac and Vanessa sing together is so amazing. I am hoping that HSM3 has lots of duets and that they are all uplifting about how to best navigate the challenge of going separate ways due to graduating from high school.
“Gotta Go My Own Way” breaks my heart but I love the message. Gabriella makes a hard decision to respect herself and not compromise her values for a boy. I love the line when she answers to Troy’s comment that he meant what he said about the summer. She replies “I’m sure you did but I also meant what I said.” This is a great message about relationships that all teenagers need to learn and all adults need to remember. There is no anger or accusations - just recognition that things weren’t working out for her the way they were.
When I put HSM2 on my I-pod, I just could not include “Gotta Go My Own Way” because the song made me so sad. But when I listen to it, I know what Vanessa means when she describes her ballad as the time when Gabriella comes into her own.
“The Music in Me” is my absolutely favorite song - not just in HSM2 or HSM1 but of all songs! Just like “Start of Something New” captures Zac and Vanessa’s discovery of each other, “The Music in Me” captures why they are together. That is why I say that these two are the reason why HSM is so successful. It is amazing how their lives together as a couple mirrors the lyrics in these movies.
Am I thinking to deep about this? Thank goodness there are other people out there who may actually be interested . My friends and family think I am crazy if I talk about Zac and Vanessa so I don’t. (And it has crossed my mind - Should I be worried that I care about two kids who I don’t even know ) It is nice to check out JJ where others can understand the appeal of Zac and Vanessa!

I can totally relate to you, Karen, Narf and zanfan2. I also love the songs Zac and Vanessa have sung together in HSM and HSM2. Two other songs I love are: Breaking Free and When There was me and You. My all time favorites though are Everyday, You are the Music in Me , and Start of Something New. It is amazing to me the difference in chemistry just from HSM with that first song to the songs in Hsm2. Not that the chemistry wasn’t there because it was but boy it has grown. I’m sure it will be even better in HSM3. I can not wait. I am hoping for 3 Troy and Gabriella songs but will be happy with two and jumping for joy with more than 3.
These two really do know how to communicate ,and as Zac said,” there will always be chemistry if both people know how to communicate.” They know how all right through their eye contact, gestures, support of one another etc. They compliment one another and complete each other. I wish them both well in their personal and professional lives. I hope they continue to be as happy and in love as they seem right now.
Speaking of chemistry… One of my favorite pictures of Zac and Vanessa is after HSM1. It is outside and and they are standing side by side. Vanessa has her arms wrapped around Zac and is looking down while he has his arm around her shoulder and is beaming off to the distance. I think that this picture was possibly taken after they wrapped the HSM1 scene on Gabriella’s porch when Zac came to apologize. She is wearing the outfit from the scene and so is he - without the jean jacket. My understanding is that this was the last scene filmed for HSM1 - even after the finale. Vanessa was having a hard time not getting too emotional during the filming and her eyes are glistening during that scene. It is adorable. (I would do a link if I knew how to - sorry)

People worry and are embarrassed to admit they are so invested in these two but it is apparent that there are a lot of people who feel the same way we do. AND the truth is IF they just appealed to the tween population, I doubt you would be seeing them listed as one of the “power” couples in Hollywood. Also, they have gotten a lot of notice coverage fro more adult sources. One other thing I don’t think people take into consideration is how embarrassed would you be to say you are a fan of Oprah or Martha Stewart or even Brad and Angelina? Just because Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are young doesn’t mean they can’t bring something meaningful to people in this world. If they bring a sense of happiness and excitement or feelings of devotion and love back into our way of thinking, why is that so bad? Too bad a lot of people we see in the news so often don’t do that for us.

We are in trouble when these two decide to “go their own ways” . While it will be a sad event that I hope never happens, I have to keep reminding myself that they have found more at a young age and many will ever find at any age.
At least the gossip mags and gossip websites seem to be done with the break up stories that used to surface every single week. And remember that ridiculous rumor that Vanessa told Zac that he wasn’t man enough for her? I think someone made that up based on that one picture of them at night in his car when she was all animated and pointing her finger as she was talking.
Does anyone here think they will be going to HSM3 premier in Hollywood? I imagine that there won’t be any public tickets. I would have to drag my ten year old daughter along so that I could hide my zanfan craziness!

A good evening to everyone, sorry i can’t add more to your comments on the hsm songs. I do agree with you,Narf,Karen and Zanfan2,rosielee. For me it’s just hearing their voices and seeing them sing to each other that makes me go Oooo and Aaaahh. I never really paid much attention to their lyrics,but now ,it makes alot more sense.
After I watched the premeire of HSM 2, I was in awe of the songs they sang to each other. It made me think there was something between them. Then I heard on the radio the next day that they were dating in real life and I just yelled out that i knew it,. I got a really strange look from the guy in the next car, but who cared.
Armed with that knowledge, everything was just that much clearer to me the next time I watched HSM 2.
As Karen said, they just pour their feelings for each other into the songs as they sing them. *sigh*

Hiya,Narf. I know the feeling, getting lost in the moment when watching youtube. How’s your weekend? It must be flowering everywhere,huh. Weather has been a bit wet here,but it’s nice and cool,now.
It was really hot today Boji, I only went out if i had to.
Even my dog who loves the heat wanted back in after 5 minutes.
Hah, it’s already summer at your place,then. He needs adjusting to the hot weather, I guess. My girl is in the throes of near winter. Exams around the corner, but me thinks,cold weather is good for studying.
Heard you’re going to see Vanessa in concert, you must tell me all about it,when you’re done. I can only imagine what it would have been like if I were there. Hopefully, we’ll get something of her concert on youtube.
I am just as excited that I am going to meet KGG in person as i am about seeing Vanessa’s concert.

I to agree with all of you about the songs our Zac and Vanessa sang in HSM, HSM2. They truly have the chemistry between each other. In a interview with Zac and Vanessa after HSM, they were asked, ” how quick did you click”, for doing the movie. Zac snapped his fingers and said like that, it was fate and Vanessa says it was written in the stars. They have come a long way professionally, and personally. You can see how much they love and respect the love they have for each other. Yes, they are young, but, what they have and show each other is timeless. This they will never forget where ever life takes them. I think it will be with each other. They show wisdom in the business they’re in, and in the face if storms and trails of what life has thrown at them they stood by each other with love and support.
Can’t wait for HSM3. I know it will not let us down.
Zanfan2, I’m 56 yrs. old and a big fan. I have HSM Movie Remix, HSM2 with the extra DVD of more behind the scenes plus HSM2’s CD and DVD of the Making of HSM2. I watch all of them plus I go to You Tube as well. I don’t know what I would do with out JJ and my friends that are on here just like me and find info about our Zac and Vanessa–Zanessa.

Rosielee, Zanfan 2, Go Sox, Karen, Boji, Narf, Cindy, Tealeaf, nett, iellidy, anyone else I’ve missed. What a great conversation! I will not add much as it has all been said and those are my precise sentiments! Great to find this wonderful community of likeminded people that see things the way I see them.
For want of the the right word, I find their story really prophetic (scary, even). The way they auditioned, were paired together, their connection and chemistry, the freaky way the duets they sing reflect and affect their real lives, the way hsm became a phenomenon and people all over the world from different cultures connect to them( love is a universal language afterall) and how they’ve stood strong despite the ups and downs they’d faced. I believe it was meant to be and I love how they take it seriously.
I believe in destiny and freewill. I believe destiny brought them together in hsm and with their freewill, they’ve been making the right choices so far that have kept them within that miracle of love. I can’t remember when last chemistry and love between two previously unknown people captivated people from all ages and background. It’s a beautiful thing and gives us hope that with all the bad things happening in the world, there are still pockets of beauty to celebrate.
I for one, am a happy addict and will always support them whatever happens(like Narf, I don’t see them breaking up but only time will tell).
They’ve grown and matured so much since HSM 2, can we imagine what their chemistry in HSM 3 would be like?!!!
So we’re agreed………..we’re all closet HSM fans, and it’s OK!!!! Like someone said earlier, there are worse things we could be addicted to!! I think the common thread here with all of us is, that we loved HSM from the start because of the chemistry between Zac and Vanessa. Those of us who have been around longer than the tweens can see that instantly.
And to be honest here, I don’t think I would have liked the two movies as much without it. Yes, they’re fun movies that bring joy, dancing, and good values back to kid’s movies. But it is THAT chemistry that shines on the screen that is special. I don’t think Sandy and Danny had half the chemistry in “Grease” that Troy and Gabriella have.
Just think how amazing it will be in HSM 3!!

My friends,relatives, my daughter and her friends thought I was kinda nuts when I kept gushing about Vanessa way back in sept/october,2007.
She caught my eye when I saw her music video”Baby come back” and couldn’t believe the transformation from HSM. Then came the “Say Ok” Video and I felt there was something there,next thing I knew, they were caught frolicking in Hawaii and the rest is history.Zac got to me, when he stood by her despite the scandal.

Ok - confession time. Thanks for sharing your age, Tealeaf. I am 50 years old too so it is great to hear from others that you too feel the same about these two. And I appreciate all the nice words and support from one fan to another.
I know the feeling when you just stop by Youtube and before you know it you are hooked watching these two. Some days, I will decide just to jump on to Youtube for a minute and 45 minutes later I have to hurry out the door to pick my kids up from school. . So many adorable pictures that show their connection together from the very first. How about that adorable sequence when Vanessa is being interviewed at a HSM1 rehearsal (yellow shorts, white tank top) and Zac comes up and picks her up. Have you ever heard the sound with it - he makes the cutest GRRR noise as he is swinging her around. Ahhhhhh.
Naomi - you have it so right. There is something so unusual about these two. And I think that the rest of Hollywood is starting to recognize that they are not just teeny bopper kids. I feel there was a new respect shown to them at the MTV awards. And Zac and Vanessa showed respect to others by avoiding the red carpet and not creating a spectacle.
I am constantly amazed at how they conduct themselves. They are a great inspiration to all of us because they learn from their mistakes, are humble, charming and loyal. Need I mention that they are also so adorable together. Vanessa’s small stature makes Zac look even better because he is not that tall a guy. Sigh.
