Zac Efron - MTV Movie Awards 2008
Zac Efron (in Moschino) poses in the press room at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday in Universal City, Calif.
The High School Musical star didn’t walk the gold carpet but accepted the award for Breakthrough Performance for his work in Hairspray. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Lindsay Lohan presented the award.

Nikki was quite disrespectful imo, considering his girlfriend was with him. She could have just smiled or mouthed thank-you instead of waving her arms around everywjere shouting “I LOVE YOU ZACCYYY” :|
I get your point LM, but she was just showing her love for zac, and appreciates him thanking her, she was just happy for him, that all.

Yay for Zachary!!! Even if he was my second choice to win the award I am still happy for him because he did deserve it! His speech was adorable and very humble, just like the Zac I fell in love with when I saw him in interviews for Hairspray that I was almost scared had dissapeared as of late. Thankfully he restored my totall and complete faith in him.
And yes I am a huge Nikki fan so this could be biased but I have to say I loved his ”thank you” to her and her little shout out to him. It was a cute little moment they got to share, and you could just tell how much they still care for each other. Happy to see that their friendship and connection goes beyond the set and promotion!
and JJ would it be too much to ask for a post on Nikki? I realize you might not have pictures yet but I would (and so would many) great apperciate a post on her since she was nominated also and attended looking gorgeous! Thank you in advance!

It would make sense for him to mention her by name, just like he was being respectful by mentioning that all the other nominees were great at the start of his speech. Nikki’s shouting was her just being her normal obnoxious self. A serious lol at the “fans” who think the zac from his dissapeared just beacuse as of late he compliments and is actually with his girlfriend. It’s amazing how much say people think they can have in others lives. He is happy, let him be.
