Alicia Keys performs onstage during the HOT 97 Summer Jam presented at Giants Stadium on Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Alicia’s fall album release, As I Am, spent four weeks atop Billboard’s album chart and became the fourth-bestselling record of 2007.
“Every time is a learning process. Honestly, I mean, I bet you can ask the Rolling Stones and they would say every time is a learning process. You definitely get more confident and more clear as time goes on. For me, at least, I always try something different and that’s just part of who I am and what I like to do, not only musically but as a performer as well, Alicia told the Free Press.”
“I’ve grown a whole lot musically, definitely, because I’ve just started to discover for me what feels good in regards to creating the … kind of tapestry that is the music and found different ways to express that and make it very complete. I think this is definitely the most complete album that I’ve done yet and I definitely know there will be even better ones coming.”

No, every successful, gifted beautiful artist doesn’t have to be gay. Someone I know, who was on her tour in ‘04, told me she was a lesbian and I believe my close friend, she’s A LESBIAN. I don’t think it takes anything away from who she is as an artist. I love her music and I think she’s one of the most talented artist in music, being a lesbian doesn’t change that.
Alicia Keys would look so much better if she would copy Mariah Carey and lose some weight but try to keep it off for a change. She’s not that big or obese, but she always looks thick and puffy. Not sexy. Some women can be thick and look good, but Keys is not one of them.
regarding the lesbian rumors, I can somehow believe them. Keys is never tied closely with any man. Neither is Queen Latifah the Brat or Missy Elliott. An attractive talented woman like her shouldn’t have problems finding a serious relationship. Keys is also a little tomboyish and aggressive in her mannerisms.
