OlderAngelina Jolie Wigs Out in Green
New pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.)
The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble:
On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”
On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.”
On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.)

The pics are said to have been done at the end of January and some were taken at the house she and Brad have in Malibu.

Interviews and photoshooots seems to be about the only time they use that Malibu house. The pix of Angie and Mariane Pearl that were in Glamour last year where shot there as well.

PT, I’m pretty sure the pics of her with Marianne are at the mid-century house which is part of the Los Feliz compound. A magazine showcased that house and the grounds a number of years ago. The photos from that magazine spread are floating around the net. I believe that is the house they use as an office and for other business purposes. Pitt remodeled it into a modern wonder and it is spectacular. Not particularly child friendly but beautiful.
But that is the Malibu house all right in the VF pics. You can see that the clear railings and the location scenery in the background is that of the Malibu house. That chair she is lounging on - if it’s an original and if it’s theirs - is worth about $1.5 million.
Maybe they’re using this shoot as a well placed sales ad for the house.

This discussion of Brad’s marriage in the VF article was pointless. The man was in an unhappy marriage. He was honest about his attraction to Angelina. He tried to fight it and also to make the marriage work but couldn’t. History.
He said in an interview that he figures we only get one shot in this life so we might as well be happy. And he pursued his happiness.
I’m betting Brad chased after Angelina as he has never chased before!
Remember he was said to be constantly on the phone during breaks during the filming of Babel? He was probably charming and wooing his lady. Who else could have put a smile on his face??
One man’s meat is another man’s poison. He’s with someone who celebrates him, his interests and who he is as a person. And he is happier for it. Good for him.
His X is now free to find someone who she can truly appreciate, and who will celebrate her and her interests, whatever they are. No children got hurt. A happy ending for all.

Finally, Brad and Jen are the two parties in this divorce. They are the one who decided when it’s considered “free to do whatever”, NOT YOU.

Actually…the LAW has the final say. Once a LEGAL SEPARATION is filed, as it was in January 2005, then both parties are free to do whatever they want without the other person being able to use it against them in the divorce proceedings. Ergo…anything Brad did after the legal separation was filed is a moot issue. And after the divorce was filed on March 25, 2005 he was essentially a free man.
If these dipshits want to further analyze it, Brad’s divorce was officially decreed on AUGUST 19, 2005 with the final paperwork going through the court on October 2, 2005. However…both of those dates are simply the periods at the of a 4 1/2 year prison sentence. Once that legal separation was filed Brad’s actions was no longer X’s business - or her fans or the trolls’ or anyone else’s.

I am still not real impressed with the photography. She looks gorgeous as always, but it’s kind of blah. She deserved better.
As to the article, I think she said some of the things she said on parenting with good intentions. I can see why some people think she’s coming off as pompous. But I would like to think that’s not really her personality.
I think the real problem is that she doesn’t have any close friendships with peer moms to know what’s typical in parenting or how women really feel about pregnancy and motherhood. I think she came off this way simply because she’s out of touch in that arena.
It’s like somebody suddenly showing up to a Sierra Club meeting, walking up to the podium and saying, “I am very concerned about this new concept of global warming and wanted you all to know that I started recycling last week. In my house, we do aluminum AND plastic. I think it’s important.”

Hehehehehe…the neck…and the hands. The two places a woman’s real age can’t be hidden. I’ve yet to hear of a plastic surgery operation for that loose & saggy skin on the back of the hands. Although…if there is one…I’m sure X will have it removed and tighten up the skin there, too.

Did you see the pix of her when she was 16 modeling that were all over the net? I think you can still find the video on youtube.
She looked exactly the same. The only time she looked different was during her drug user days or when she wasn’t eating and got all anorexic looking. She looked like crap during both times.
There’s just one thing that trolls will never ever admit…if the guy is very much in love with his wife, he will never fall in love with somebody else!
The guy fell like a stone because he was probably hungry for love and didn’t even know it. He was even able to tell his then wife of his attraction to another woman. That’s how much he was connected and bonded to her…rrrright!
