OlderAngelina Jolie Wigs Out in Green
New pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.)
The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble:
On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”
On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.”
On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.)

Why does she continue to do interviews? The way the guy wrote it was not very kind… naming all of her exes and ish? wth was that about? I won’t be buying this mag, not now. I don’t think she should do any interviews but if she does for me to buy it the interview would have to be about HER and her movies. .. not about her exes and the writer saying she just up and took pitt. wtf ? Are we back to believing that pitt is that much of a *****?
She says she wanted an aid worker or something and you still believe she went after an overtanned actor who looks likes ken? PUHLEASE!

Just accept it haters, you can’t stand that she’s not stick thin anymore and she’s gotten her old looks back. As a matter of fact, I think she’s more beautiful now than ever before.

WOOO lots of frenchie girls, as I see on here. Angie is most loved in France because of her unique personality.
I don’t think those pics are photoshoped, frankly there are billion photos of her which are quite similar to them. But just remember, Angie was a fullfilled model when she was young, she knows what she is talking about when it comes to style and fashion.

- sounds to me like she is referring to a time he shouldn’t have been calling her. Especially because she is speaking in past tense - at a time in the past that Brad had been calling.

The only good interviews that I can remember was with Anderson Cooper, Marie Claire, Backstage, Readers Digest and the photocalls in Cannes this year and last year. At this point Brad should interview Angelina and Angelina should interview Brad and post them on JJ LOL!!

Hollywood is a sex haven. It is a culture filled with controversial settings. My girfriend found out that her straight boyfriend had sex with hundreds of men in the film industry and business and even old men from blue-collar jobs that he would meet at bars and clubs, just so he could get dope. I read somewhere that James Dean was a “hustler,” and by gay hollywood terms, that means a male hooker… or a man, whether he’s straight or not, is gay-for-pay. It was rumored that James Dean hustled film execs to move up in the fillm industry. I know for a fact that still goes on. But many women did it too.
People in hollywood walk around with alot of tattoos and you have alot of goth and punk rockers there. You see alot of doped up musicians knocking up all the new females in town in Hollywood. You even see fat homeless old ladies with stretched out tattoos all over their bodies.
Angelina is so young and has accomplished more in her 32 years than most people achieve in their life time.I am so proud of her.

She said they will also take the children to church. Both she and Brad were raised as Christians - don’t you think that will influence how they raise their children. Give Angie a break - stop looking for negatives in everything she says.
It’s as if some people view everything through some racial filter that favors whites. So if there is equality, then it disadvantages the white child. Stop jumping to negative conclusions, just because there are non-white kids living with white kid(s).

She’s much more stunning in real life. I saw her at the A Mighty Heart premiere. She was very thin but that face, those eyes..gorgeous.
