OlderAngelina Jolie Wigs Out in Green
New pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.)
The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble:
On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”
On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.”
On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.)

Jolie “Uncensored”? Please. This interview is just more of her politically correct, watered-down B.S. about how perfect she is, has no flaws and can not admit to a single mistake.
Boring. Boring. Boring. I swear the older she gets and pop out more babies, the more boring she becomes. She never has anything interesting to say anymore.
The most striking thing in the interview is where she says that the great thing about being pregnant is that you don’t have to have an excuse to eat.
In one line, she makes it clear that she still struggles from an eating disorder. That is sad and pathetic and extremely disturbing.
She appears to have the entire world in her hands and obviously wants all of us to know how great her life is - why is she still depriving herself, still starving herself? And is pregnancy the only way she can not feel guilty about eating, keeping a man or breaking up a marriage?
The last two men Jolie has been involved with (maybe three since I know nothing of the man before Billy Bob) were either married or living with someone long term when Jolie got together with them. We do tend to recreate our family of origin problems to try and work them out. Is this what she is doing? We all have problems yes, but few of us are able to present a revisionist history in the general public the way she has. Probably what disturbs most of us who normally would care less about this is that some people want to make her out to be a saint. Brad is just as culpable as she was but has had the good sense to not be so public with rewriting history. Ultimately he is the one who if nothing else, emotionally cheated on is wife. It’s hard for me to believe that a woman who proclaims to be decent not to see her part in the breakup. All marriages go through tough times. Hopefully there won’t be an Angie who happens to be working with your spouse when that happens.
And yes, Jolie fans, start bashing me, obviously the truth hurts!
my last post of today and I’m leaving with my own conspiracy theory: I think the fake asst. impersonator came from Aniston/Huvane’s camp and if so, I hope it blows up in their faces and their real evil machinations come out to light so that the twit can finally be found for the fraud and backstabbing beeyotch that she is! “Traditional romantic fairy tale love” is the customary reason why individuals marry, in that scenario sustaining a marriage without respect and trust is difficult but in reality it is done all the time. Many marriages start out or become simple business arrangements, quid pro quo in your vernacular…symbiosis in it’s purest form…each party getting what they want…neither trust nor respect play into their motivations for staying together. Marriages with conflicting goals often survive, even parasitic relationships remain intact.
Again, the definition of trust and respect is different for different people and can range from “I trust him with my life” to a transverse inversion of “as long as he doesn’t beat me”.
Reasons for staying in a non-business child-less marriage without traditional love vary. For women it’s usually economics. If you ask men responses range from it’s what I’m used to, I’m too old for the “bar scene”, I’m used to her, it’s convenient…the one I like is “I’d rather stayed married and control the finances than give half to her”. Lack of trust and respect morphs over time into “toleration”. The range of an individuals’ comfort zone is often what keeps tolerable marriages intact. It’s psychologically easier to stay in a tolerable relationship than get out of it. Every stressful marriage has its “uncomfortable-comfort level” and it’s multiple “breaking point(s)” pushed to new levels. The final breaking point is when the tolerance level of one of the parties is exceeded and there is motivation to severe the ties.
BTW traditional arranged marriages are honored as a business transaction first and foremost throughout the marriage because as in business, arranged marriages have a clearly defined goal and purpose. Typically if there is love, it is not usually “romantic love” but it can be…moreover, non romantic love in a marriage doesn’t negate its worthiness.

Bogus Angie Baby Story Part of a Bigger Problem?

Last week’s jump-the-gun—and ultimately refuted—report about Angelina Jolie giving birth to twins may have been part of a larger scheme to discredit the people who speak on the actress’ behalf and, when it comes down to it, the actress herself.
Jolie’s legal camp at the L.A. firm Lavely & Singer has reportedly circulated a letter to various media outlets warning of an impostor who’s been dishing out erroneous info under the guise of Jolie’s longtime assistant, Holly Goline.
“A random individual has engaged in a scheme to intentionally harm my client and deceive her fans, the public and the media through illegal and tortuous impersonation of Ms Jolie’s long-time assistant, Holly,” the letter reads.
“The individual who claims to be, and to whom the media has relied upon as, a ‘reliable source’ is not my client’s assistant, nor does the email address belong to my client’s assistant.”
Stay tuned to see how this one unfolds. Because eventually Jolie is going to give birth to twins, and we all want to make sure our “source close to the family” isn’t a raving loon.

OK, you’re not a fan, so isn’t it a waste of time to post here where the majority of posters are fans? I don’t think I’m obsessed, and I agree, it’s people’s right to like or not like AJ. There are always opposites, you know, night and day, here and there, fans and antis/haters, etc).

Uh…what happened to Diddy? I think he and Cam Diaz were supposedly all over each other last weekend in NYC. Ain’t it amazing how all these other actresses can sleep with 40 different men a week and it’s sold as cute and flirty…but Angie said she had 2 lovers she OCCASIONALLY - every few months! - met to scratch an itch and she gets labeled a s l u t. Unbelievable…

Hey guys just wondering why People Mag did not put theie exclusive on Angelina not giving birth in their top buzz, because im sure, it got a lot of hits?
Could it be that they want to downplay the interest on B&A since they are at present starting to make a bid for the pics of the twins? Im sure they dont want to pay a much higher price. I think People is sneaky that way.
I know most of the time, they put it as No. 1 those articles on their cover stories, but its so strange that the false twin birth wasnt included in their top buzz, when everybody waited for the news from their site.

LIke I said last Friday - the key to this story is the person who put the blog up on Monday, May 26 announcing the birth of the twins. THAT was the first time this info was reported. Someone who posts here infrequently - Sam P, not to be confused with ShitzySpamboGal - posted on the link to the blog and asked if it was true…and then she promptly disappeared and hasn’t been heard from again.
There were threads going up fast and furious, then the info on Angie’s VF interview came out and Thomas struck and the thread was shut down and the posting pretty much came to a standstill. I posted the original post from Sam P on a couple of threads, but nobody ever responded so I dropped it. I questioned Sam P about the source and dismissed it as BS, but she never responded to my posts or anyone else’s. And if she’s out there lurking she sure as hell hasn’t felt the need to chime in and say how she came across the original link in the first place…especially considering the person who wrote the blog said it was a brand new blog and they were a friend of the J-P’s nanny…
So…I’ll repost it again and you guys can take a look at what started this whole thing. Note that the website has since been shutdown. If anyone wants to pass this info on to the folks at ET or the AP be my guest…

any other news outlet: THEY HAD THEIR TWINS!
They were born on May 26, 2008 in the afternoon (French time) near their home on the French
Riviera. Angie had her doctor, Dr. Jason Rothbart flown in again, just as he was with Shiloh,
and he delivered them by C-Section. The twins are both girls, and their names are Isla
Marcheline Jolie-Pitt and Amelie Jane Jolie-Pitt! Both are happy, healthy, and beautiful.
More details to come as I get them.

I know some people here can’t stand Dlisted, but personally I think Michael K is hilarious. I just don’t read the comments because the posters are loonier than a convention of Fanistons. He’s funnier than most stand-up comedians I see on TV! He could do stand-up and riff on celebs….and hire a really good lawyer because the lawsuits would come rolling in! LOL. I started reading Dlisted just to read his posts on Pete “Dreamboat” Doherty. The first time I read one I didn’t have a clue who the guy was…but that’s the great thing about Michael K.
