OlderAngelina Jolie Wigs Out in Green
New pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.)
The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble:
On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”
On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.”
On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.)

I found a couple of things telling about the interview…I think someone else picked it up.. that being pregnant is an excuse to eat…it says to me that she wasnt’ eating before for some reason…she obviously has issues with food.
also I know nobody wants to hear it..but a lot of people on here say it’s been 3 years why can’t people get over it… but it’s probably true she will never be able to get over the stigma of the whole thing and will always be assocated with the term “homewrecker” while she’s with Brad Pitt. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong,,but that’s probably how it will play out. If they split and she moves on with someone else who she get’s “legitimately” as the public sees it eg the guy is single and not linked to anyone else…she’ll probably reverse the image and people will be able to move on.

I don’t think it’ll matter if it’s 10 years… I don’t think people will ever move on..and this VF article just goes to prove it.. it’s been three years and obviously the writer wrote what he did coz he knows the public will lap it up and it will sell magazines. And a lot of people are right…if brad pitt said something other than he and JA have a deep friendship to this day etc then people might start believing the marriage was over before Jolie came along..because he says nothing but good things about aniston it perpetuates the homewrecker tag for AJ.

Could it be that they want to downplay the interest on B&A since they are at present starting to make a bid for the pics of the twins? Im sure they dont want to pay a much higher price. I think People is sneaky that way.
I know most of the time, they put it as No. 1 those articles on their cover stories, but its so strange that the false twin birth wasnt included in their top buzz, when everybody waited for the news from their site.

I think GP has an issue with food too..all HW actresses do…it just give you an insight into the fact that AJ is skinny because she has food issues.. and body image issues…it just goes to the vanity of how they all try to starve themselves and think they look good.

Generally, people have already moved on. More people around the world love Brad and Angelina because they are perfect couple for each other. Brad has blossomed into a movie mogul and construction tycoon. Angelina is well-respected in Washington as well as her work for the UN.
Angelina is more loved and well-respected than the one whose name need not be mentioned.
More and more people are embracing the Jolie-Pitt family. Truly a fascinating family and indeed blessed.

The write is not calling Angie a “homewrecker”, he is not accusing Angelina of taking Brad from is ex. On the contrary he’s criticizing people that think that way and the tabs with High School metaphor.
Some people, the stupid, envy, hatefull… ones, will probably continue to perpetuated the “homewrecker”, but that’s their problem. It has no afect in Angelina’s life and she couldn’t care less about it.
One of the reasons i’m a a fan of Angelina’s is the fact that she’s a strong, independent woman that lives her life in her own terms and couldn’t care less about what people think about her.

Zahara is african and last time I checked we don’t celebrate Kwanzaa in Africa. It’s a good thing that Angie wants her kids to learn about their roots but then do it right! Most ethiopians dont even know what Kwanzaa is.

Kwanzaa is based on African priciples….Angie is in the beginning process of raising small children….Like EVERYTHING else she’s done, she’ll find out all the information about what she needs to learn in the coming years and rock it correctly as she’s supposed to!….TRUST!
