OlderAngelina Jolie Wigs Out in Green
New pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.)
The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble:
On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”
On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.”
On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.)

Well well well…I’m in the industry and all I have to say regarding the entertainment shows snafu is GOOD FOR THEM!!!! To show what liars and incompetent people they have working for them here is one observation: If these publications& outlets, whathave you have a “long going relationship” with Brad or Angelina, you would have the right people who are the only people who can talk on their behalf in your rolodex/contackt sheet. You would also have a system of checks and balances that would prevent what happened. Where I worl we have a system that weeds out imposter very easily. You mean to tell me that some crackhead from down the street can call up a show like ET, claim to be someone that supposedly ET has established relationship with, and fall for whatever info they have, without asking questions? BTW none of these media have established relationships with Brad or Angelina. They have been covering them as actors over the years, but established relationship means some sort of exculsive access to info. They don’t have that!!!!!! After that snafu, they really don’t have that. All the media outlets couldn’t do fact checking? since when does Angelina’s assistant give information? Why the heck would she be in the delivery room? Who announced the birth of Shiloh in Namibia? It sure as heck wasn’t Holly. They should all be fired and all those shows cancelled. Hollywood is a very small town. Two programs about Hollywood is more than enough. No one is gonna get the scop on this so they should forget it and just wait for the announcement. IN the meantime they should concentrate on delivering the news and beef up their factchecking department.
In addition…all that bidding war talk is the same thing. Who said there is a bidding war? What makes them think that Brad & Angelina will automatically do what they did the first time? Trust me, I don’t know them personally, but I would bet anyone that there will be no exclusive first pics this go around. Of course there will be first pics but it will be what everyone has and not some exclusive. sorry People magazine…you need to beef up your magazine because it’s sinking and frankly that first baby pics rights that you have is getting very old. Once you ahve it up on your site it gets distributed all over.
The Jolie-Pitts “in league” with the paparazzi — I don’t think so. Have you ever seen their kids on a playground in L.A. like Violet Affleck or Suri Cruise?

It’s been a few days already and Entertainment Tonight has still not issued a retraction to their story of Angelina Jolie giving birth.
Her rep has already denied it, stating “Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France.”
No other publications are printing it.
No photos of the babies have leaked.
Brad Pitt was spotted with son Maddox at the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello that same weekend.
Doubt the new dad would be in another country instead of with his premature newborn babies.
And, you know as soon as Angelina gives birth, the French media is going to be all over it!
But, despite the obvious, the executive producer for Entertainment Tonight is still waiting to “see how this story plays out” before they issue any type of retraction.

Even the Associated Press, who originally picked up the story after speaking to ET executives, later denied the reports, quoting Brad Pitt’s manager as stating the news was not true.
Jolie’s attorneys have even notified news organizations that someone posing as Angelina’s personal assistant had sent out the false information.
Linda Bell Blue, executive producer for ET and The Insider, said in a statement on Monday, “Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are friends of Entertainment Tonight. We have spent years cultivating that friendship, working with them side by side on many of their projects. We wish them and their children well. We are waiting to see how this story plays out.”
Someone is going to lose a lot of credibility when Angelina does pop out those babies and there’s still no retraction issued.
