OlderAngelina Jolie Wigs Out in Green
New pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.)
The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble:
On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”
On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.”
On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.)

Some of you OVERLY-ECSTATIC fans of hers put her up on a pedestal and worship her like a GODDESS. She is an imperfect person like the rest of us. Those of you who treat her like a demi-goddess are more immoral than the so-called “haters” who are really probably her fans that actually like her and you are the ones who feel the need to defend a woman that has done nothing like Jesus Christ. Plus Hollywood people have the financials to enhance themsleves tremendously through massive plastic surgeries, best trainers, best stylists, make-up artists, ect.
And yet, this woman, whose beauty is captured on live when doing red carpets or just going around with kids, with few make-up on, or when interviewers and everyday people there attest that she is even more beautiful in person still manage to beat most of her colleagues beauty wise, colleagues who also benefit from the same treatments, and even much more as light, photoshop, massive plastic surgeries for most of them, ect…

Hey Frenchy - don’t know if you saw my post from last night about how the person put the info on this site on Memorail Day afternoon…but I called BS just based on the babies’ supposed names! LOL. You’re right though about one thing…when they travel and stay in suites, I’m sure they get separate holel rooms for their bodyguards and nannies. The suite is just enough room for family anyway. Usually, just two bedrooms (with large moving areas)…it’s just one for the parents and one for the kids. Where are they gonna put their entourage, in the walk-in closets?
