OlderAngelina Jolie Wigs Out in Green
New pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.)
The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble:
On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”
On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.”
On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.)

I’ve known grown men, gay people, young people, kids, teens, college students, people anywhere from their 20s to 80s, all kinds of ethnicities, etc, etc… who LOVE and ADORE this family.
of all the actresses in hollywood Angie, i can say is the most beautiful with or without make up….
she can wear any types of dress and still manage to look beautiful…
She surely was having fun with wigs. Now she makes green wigs tasteful. She looks so fresh and gorgeous. Gotta get a copy of that mag.

Ode to Journalism -
To many, Jolie’s false twin birth is an entertainment trivia, but to some - Cliniqua et al, and around the world who love this woman so much, the birth of the twins will be like a Second Coming.
OK - so we all agree that this story ranges from between TRIVIA and SECOND COMING ! I am somewhere in between.
IMO - The story does have a wider, important and relevant implications.
Whereas a respectable entertainment organization such as ET ran a story that was untrue, and believed to be untrue, is not only alarming but a DIRECT ASSAULT TO GOOD JOURNALISM. Albeitnumerous e-mail between the Jolie-Pitt organization and CBS, as well as ET programing management, CBS and ET chose to run the story - tagged it as “BREAKING NEWS”
This prime time entertainment show gets over 6.5 million viewers in the USA alone giving out false information. AP then transmitted the news around the world. Whether we like or not, directly or indirectly, they influence viewers - critics and fan alike.
DOESN’T THAT BOTHER ANYONE ?
ET ran a false story, and and despite credible evidence that they knew it was not false, had the audacity to ran it anyway. And for what - for that golden SCOOP AND BREAKING NEWS !
One could argue - predictably critics [ I don't like the word "haters"]
this is just entertainment trivia, that ET is a TV tabloid press and are exempted from rules of good and factual reporting. But if we permit this to happen, and ET is given a pass, predictably, false reporting for the sake of rating will permeate through the entire MSM.
And when false information seeps thru MSM, CBS, may run a story like IRAN HAS INVADED THE USA, or CANCER IS ERADICATED in evening news. Then - we will predictably shrug our shoulders just like the false alarm of the births. The end results is chaos and confusions, not to mention, the subject of this controversy - JOLIE who is probably saddened by the intrusions of her privacy.
Good Journalism vs. Irresponsible Journalism - FACTUAL REPORTING.

Angie is very sophisticated and so classy. Her beauty is so unique that
nobody can compete it. She deserves all the attention and glamour cause she is lovely inside and out. Brad is so lucky he found her, I really think that there was a plan by God for them to be together so they can be a good example to everybody that we need to be giving and sharing
and loving to every human being no matter what color they are. Cheers to the Jolie-Pitt family. Pray to the Almight that they will get married soon.

Angie is indeed very pretty. Who cares what is in her past. I think everyone has something that they’d prefer to forget if they could about their past. People can change. She is a wonderful mother. As far as Jen and Brad go….it has been years since they have been together. Does anyone really think there is one iota of a chance that Brad REALLY wants to go back to Jen, or for that matter, that Jen wants to go back to Brad? Angie and Brad have three adopted children that they adore, they just had a beautiful little girl 2 years ago that they love, and now they are having twins! How can anyone think that Brad is not in love with this woman and that Jen is still in the picture? Doesn’t make any sense to me at all.
That green hair style becomes her if it were in her natural color or blonde. She’s a beautiful women. Her lips are what many women are disfiguring themselves to try and get. Hers are natural people!! You can’t buy that look
Her father cheated on her mother with Stacey Pickren, who plays a hooker in the film. Although I always thought there was big chemistry between Fonda and Voight.
Marcheline was a bit of a poseur (real name Marcia Lynn), and neither she or her rival Stacey ever amounted to much as actors. Voight was the real talent, and Angelina isn’t in his league yet. Neither is her boy-toy, Pitt. Amateurs with the money to attract good vehicles but no talent.
