OlderAngelina Jolie Wigs Out in Green
New pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.)
The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble:
On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”
On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.”
On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.)

I actually smiled when I read the part where Angie said that she never read tabloids. I remember an interview with her where she said that part of her notion about Brad came from the media, she didn’t know that he was so aware due to what she read about him in the media and then she laughed saying something like “I fell for it”! Does anyone else have that article?

So be it! Brad must be so thankful that Angelina saved his life! She is Brad’s saviour, and Brad can now live happily ever after with her and their kids! Its a fairy tale come true for Brad, after making the mistake of marrying Jennifer Aniston, he was given a second chance, and its all that matters now!
Question: If these photos were taken in January- How can she be sooo skinny? When in November she wore that hugo mulit-colored dress to the golden globes or some such show? I’m not “bashing’ or anything (goodness knows I really admire this couple for a variety of reasons)… just wondering, that’s all…

What she said here, coupled with the interviews she did around the time just before it was made public that they hooked up where she said she would never bring a man into Maddox’s life unless he was going to be there permanently. Not long after that, boom, we have pictures of Angelina and Brad with Maddox playing on a beach in Africa.
I never said she “stole him”nor did I imply it, but if you think that getting involved with someone in ANY SENSE of the word while either you or they are still married is perfectly fine, that’s your opinion and you’re welcome to it. I don’t agree. Sorry. But, like I said, their relationship doesn’t affect any of the people on these threads, including me.
