There are all sorts of reasons to criticize Ashley. She might be aging gracefully, but she needs a serious attitude adjustment.
See http://www.themockdock.com for more scoop on her. Your hate is welcome. :)
Dear Ace # 22;
Great commentary !
The UN, during the latter part of stewardship by Annan, was littered with controversies, for the most part with the Food Distribution Program. I don’t really know the detail - but the food were diverted to hostile nations such as Iraq and those who were in power took millions of US taxpayers money. It is a shameful period of the UN history. Having said that, the UN stood strong in its stance that the Iraq war is illegal and immoral. Annan was among those who claimed that this war will live in infamy. He was right !
You are absolutely right that celebrities like Judd, Jolie, Clooney have no part in any of this political intrigue. The USA [ tax payers] are the biggest contributor to all UN’s effort. It’s criminal that our leaders politicize all parts of UN efforts.
The only thing that I don’t quite agree is that these celebrity/humanitarians are not intelligent enough to comprehend political and global economics.
You may Google Mensa and Charlie Rose interviews, or the UN Council of Foreign Relation of which Jolie is a very credible and outspoken member - a lot of celebrities have unbelievable IQ’s, but regretfully, not given credits as to their intellectual, critical analysis and reasoning abilities.
I attended Mensa meeting where James Wood was a speaker. Although I did not quite agree with his view of President Bush, Wood is a very passionate and intellectual speaker. He is a graduate of MIT, and member of Mensa. There are many celebrities like him who are Mensa member.
As to Judd, she graduated Magna *** Laude. While Jolie failed to complete a Bachelor’s Degree, her IQ is very high as well and she is on a mission to educate herself. That alone makes me an admirer.
I heard her speak at the Doctor’s Without Border meeting to raise fund funds. She too, is a very persuasive speaker. She is also contributing writer of TImes and The Economist - the very best in the field of Journalism. Jolie wrote about the economic aspect of the Food Distribution effort of the UN. The piece dealt about the failure of the UN to reduce the time and expense of transport to reach the people of Africa, Darfur and Sara Leone. Of late, Jolie spoke in Washington DC for the annual women’s effort to educate the children of conflict. Her speeches are a matter of public records.
Check it out - you’ll be surprise !
One last comment - commentary like yours are more persuasive, than all the 4-letter words many posters use to vent their angers or opinions.
Again, your commentary is commendable !
Dear Mock,
Why is it that being petty is so ingrained in our national character.
And while you grace Judd with her efforts to bring the plight of these unwanted children, you disgrace her with your sarcastic and sooooo petty commentary.
PETTY IS THE WORD OF THE DAY.

pet·ty Audio Help /ˈpɛti/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[pet-ee] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation

2. of lesser or secondary importance, merit, etc.; minor: petty considerations.
3. having or showing narrow ideas, interests, etc.: petty minds.
4. mean or ungenerous in small or trifling things: a petty person.
5. showing or caused by meanness of spirit: a petty revenge.
6. of secondary rank, esp. in relation to others of the same class or kind: petty states; a petty tyrant.
And, what have you done lately to be a better person ? Or, what have you contributed to the human race ?
@ Doc & Lilliane,
Your comments, combined, remind me to the song from Supertramp:
“Coming home to see you”:
You gave me a laugh! :-)
@Onmyown, hi, nice to read your comment again!
she is not aging well and is she over her depression?
I think she’s a great, underrated actress. When is she going to make another movie?
OnMyOwn - our site is called the mockdock for a reason. Mocking is what we do. You might find it petty, and yes - when we dig on her for her looks, of course it is. However, her hypocrisy is incredible, especially when she demands chinese acupuncturists visit her in the middle of third world countries when she’s not sleeping well. Or when she and her husband spend millions on castles in scotland and 20 car garage ports for all of their ferraris and porsches, handing over the cash with a hand sporting a 10 carat diamond, all the while preaching to americans that they should send money to her various causes when most people are living paycheck to paycheck or barely scraping by.
I don’t have to justify my contributions to the human race or tell you how I work to be a better person because I’m not in the public eye telling you what causes to care about. I’m not the one bemoaning human trafficking and then posing nude on the cover of Marie Claire magazine.
Just do a little research before you jump to the defense of someone like her.
Petty? Sure. It’s what our site is about. But read enough and you’ll see that there’s substance there too.
Enough with the mockdock plugs….. nobody cares.
Hi Rien,
Nice to hear from you too. I read your poem - and what an emotion ! I actually printed and post it at the Physician’s Lounge. My colleagues were specially touched. I told them it was dedicated to Jude Law. Lucky dog - they say !
‘Wish I had those skills - I am exactly the antithesis. I love in silence, ‘am always lost with words in terms of loving someone. Silence to me speaks more in a very eloquent and soothing tone ! On the other hand, I am very vocal when one is very arrogant and mean.
Your new friend,
OnMyOwn
There are those who can touch our hearts with their lovely poem, how beautiful your words. And of course, there are those who words, and there are those, like me who love silence -
Also, “mock” it’s her and her husbands money. Why shouldn’t she be allowed to spend it how she pleases.. they earned it. I’m sure they give some away, but there is no reason they need to give up their earnings just because they have more then most people.
If that’s the way you feel, then you start acting or racing and become famous and then you can give away all of your money and set your version of a non hypocritical example and show how the perfect person with money should behave.
Get off the soapbox and off the computer and get out and do something instead of just sitting there complaining about others.
Dear Mock,
Fine - mocking people is your life’s goal. If mocking gives you substance in life, if it makes you feel good about yourself, and sleep better at night - by all means knock yourself out.
There is difference between you and me. I don’t begrudge people - [celebrities or otherwise] of what they legitimately earned and toiled in their lifetime. Mocking them because they have what you and I don’t have is just plain envy - pure and simple !
REGARDLESS OF SUBSTANCE !
It’s only fair and just to ask you what your contribution to this world to make a better place, since you seems to undermine Judd’s contribution ? And you have the gall to accuse her of being a hypocrite.
And, that my friend is another word you need to learn. Here’s a clue:
hyp·o·crite Audio Help /ˈhɪpəkrɪt/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[hip-uh-krit] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements
I am so blown away by the lengths you guys will go to in order to defend her that I’m practically considering blogging about it. This makes great material. ;)
onmyown - this isn’t my life’s work. It’s simply a hobby, and one that others seem to get some entertainment out of. That’s a side benefit. I would sleep well regardless because I’m fulfilled outside of the hobby. It’s not gall that makes me call Ashley a hypocrite - it’s the facts that have been laid out to support the hypocrisy. Again - that requires a little research - but you guys seem more intent on just defending her blindly. Your call.
And you misunderstand. I don’t undermine Ashley’s contributions. As I said in a post, I appreciate any help that she might be providing. It’s the manner in which she provides it which is HIGHLY questionable. Again - a little research will go a long way.
But keep defending her, and feel free to send her a big fat check, if that’s what will “help you sleep better at night”. I wouldn’t trade places with her in a million years - I’ve got it too good. So I wouldn’t call it envy - as much a high level of curiousity about the rich and famous. Something you and Jennifer must know all too well since you’re both here. Great minds, as they say. :)
Thanks for the great discourse! It’s always great to find more material!!
Thanks, Onmywon!
Jude is a lucky dog, isn’t he? Well, with so many stray dogs out there, it is helpful to know, that there is one I can always touch and love!
I can not give my opinion about Ashley Judd, except that she is not afraid to grow old, and I respect that. I don’t see so much of her films, so I don’t want to comment about something that I don’t know.
Good Morning Mock;
I just got off my shift - it was pretty bad night at the Trauma Unit. But when I feel better, I will respond.
For now, I hope you are in la-la land. I didn’t know meaness and mocking others is a good sleeping aid. You should patent that vileness of yours.
Mock, don’t listen to them. You’re absolutely right about Ashley Judd. She’s a huge hypocrite. I’ve heard her rant about objectifying women yet I clearly recall many many magazine layouts she’s done half naked, sexually posed, etc. Not to mention all the gratuitous sex scenes she’s done. Total hypocrite. She’s also an idiot. For the love of god, have you heard her speak? She reaks of trying way too hard insecure-so-I-use-polysyllabic-words-ism. She sooo wants to be taken as a serious intellectual. We’re talking about someone who graduated from freaking University of Kentucky, mind you.
Further evidence of her idiocy? The fact she’s working with the fing UN to solve the sexual abuse of young women. Does Ashley read? Apparently not becasue if she did she would know that the UN is notoriously corrupt and when they aren’t tossing billions of mostly American money down the drain they are sexually abusing young girls. Oh, yes. You read that right. UN workers have been involved exploiting refuggees from poverty stricken and war torn countries by trading sex for food and other goods and, when coersion doesn’t work ..flat out rape. And the latest controversy involving the UN and sex abuse isn’t the only one..it’s just the latest.
Oh, and the UN never met a misogynist jew hating dictator they didn’t love. Meanwhile, they hate the USA despite the fact we carry, overwhelmingly, the majority of the financial burden for the despicable antiAmerican body. They’re a disgrace and Ashley’s a disgrace for dealing with them.
Thanks Kit!!! Finally - someone else who sees through the nonsense. YAY!
I saw your comment on our site as well and am very happy to welcome you to the mockdock family. Keep on commenting!! :)
Grow up and get a life. Ashley Judd is a disgrace. She supports unrestricted abortion on demand–and admits she wants no restriction on it. So its okay to kill a healthy, 8 month old fetus simply because the would-be mother feels like it? Stop the hero worship and get a clue. Ashley Judd wouldnt even be here if not for her mother–who almost decided on an abortion–went and had one. Her mother is a pro-life heroin, but this pathetic sack of human waste cant learn to close her legs–so she has decided that babies lives arent worth the cost of her sexual freedom. She should be in jail. She is no better than a murderer.
