Gwyneth Paltrow - “Harper’s Bazaar” July 2008
Gwyneth Paltrow looks positively flawless in Versace on the July 2008 cover of Harper’s Bazaar, out June 17.
In the mag, the mother-of-two talks about staying in shape: “All the negative things have actually ended up being really positive because they’ve kick-started me into thinking how I want to look for the rest of my life.”
Continued Gwyn, “And you know, I don’t want to look like a mother who doesn’t care. For myself, for my work and for my relationship, I want to look good.”
And she surely looks good here!

There is nothing masculine about Gwyneth. She’s tall and thin, but not manly. Do we all have to have big *sses and huge fake t*ts to be considered womanly now? Sad. I agree that the middle part does nothing for her, but she looks pretty and happy here.

Vogue is scaring me - they had Drew Barrymore and Paltrow on the cover recently and they were both unrecognizable. There had been so much Photoshop work they looked like an entirely different human being.
I’m sure there was the usual touch ups here, but they didn’t change her features - that is her face (love it or loathe it) and that is refreshing.

She looks great in that pic, really fresh and you. They could not have picked a better photo for promoting her healthy lifestyle. Though admittedly, it would be a bid too much for me, the all vegan, all no-processed raw food diet that she’s having. Once in a while a big fat chocolate browny or steak and baked potatoe, you can’t beat that, if you ask me. But if the 100% healthy life is working for her, that’s admirable, that she has so much self-control.

I agree the cover is pretty bad, and I just saw the photos of her at the Kaballah center. Nothing to be jealous of there. I doubt anyone is interested in trading places with her once they see how she looks in her casual pics. Mugs don’t get much uglier than that. Good thing she has a stylist and a makeup artist to help her - she needs it!

Beauty, as they say. is in the eyes of the beholder. To me Gwen Paltrow is beautiful. There is just too much photo shops on the cover of Voque, Vanity Fair and Elle. On Paltrow - the photo is OK, but it is somewhat “over-done” - too much of a photo shop. It looses her true essence.
Rating: half a star !
