OlderBrad Pitt’s Table for Two
Brad Pitt picks up a few pieces of contemporary “design art” furniture at the Design Miami/Basel fair held at the 1920s domed Markethalle in Basel, Switzerland on Tuesday.
The father-of-almost-six paid $293,000 for a hollow white marble rococo-style table by the Dutch designer Jeroen Verhoeven at the booth of the London-based Carpenters Workshop Gallery. The 4-foot-long “Cinderella Table,” from an edition of six, is hewn from a solid block of Carrara marble.
Mr. Pitt also ordered a rug made of aluminum thread from New York dealer Cristina Grajales, said director Elizabeth Murphy. The “Silver Sky” rug, created by Colombian designer Jorge Lizarazo and woven by the Colombian-based studio Hechizoo, will be priced at a rate of $175 per square foot.
Brad was also interested in a gold lacquer-coated Fiberglas sofa by Zaha Hadid, offered by London-based dealer Kenny Schachter at $300,000.

I figured X was meeting with Diane Keaton the other night about a movie project, but I figured it be another dumb comedy. Diane Keaton in a serious movie about a prison break? Why doesn’t X just cast Marge & Lisa Simpson? That’d be more believable than her and Diane Keaton.

I thought Aniston and Keaton just happened to be dining at the same place, not dining together. If they were dining together, Huvane would’ve probably made sure People had something about it on their website.
Hi guys, just popping in for a little bit. I was reading from the last page and was LMAO at the Nat’l Enquirer making fun of Mary Hart. And talking of Mary Hart, I don’t know if any of the posters on here remember this, but a couple years ago, a woman sued ET, because she said that listening to Mary’s voice was causing her to have seizures. It was the funniest lawsuit ever, and provided the late night shows with a lot of fodder for jokes.
By the way, i was walking in Lower Manhattan today, and passed right by Doug Liman walking his dog. For a minute i considered stopping him and thanking him for M&MS., LOL. Can you imagine if i had done that? The man might have gone running and screaming from me. LOL.

I am more proud of my parents; they did such a wonderful job raising my brother, sister and I…exactly the way I want to raise my (future) children.

CLINIQUA, I just want to tell you that you got me thinking about the ‘business’ end of Hollywood giving Angie and Brad the ‘business’. Actually it never occured to me that their lack of representation could be one of the sources for all the BS they have been taking. But then ‘Ari Gold’ (Entourage) must be based on something and now it all doesn’t seem so far fetched. Funny how yours is the only voice saying this (that I know of). Everyone is prepared to believe the most outrageous things about Angie and yet no one is curious about where this volume and intensity is coming from. PT, I agree with you. There are so few of the older actors left. I don’t want to see them suffering and lingering in illness. I am happy Paul Newman doesn’t have cancer.
There are so few actors of true stature in HW now. We have Brad, Denzel, Russell, Tom H, Clive, Tom C, Will, but really there aren’t a lot. In watching E they only have those tenny tv stars on there. They will last on season if that and don’t have the acting prowess as the actors I just named. They are kids, not men.
I was just reading my Sunday paper and noticed a piece on Halle Barry in Parade magazine. Someone wanted to know why pictures of Halle’s and Gabriel’ baby hadn’t been released? The answer, because they refuse to put a price on their baby’s head. The article went on to name other actresses who had sold their baby’s pictures. Angie and Brad were not named. The questioner want to also know if Halle had a tummy tuck to get back in shape? The answer, no she dieted and excerised. Peace

You know dina#1, I understand that Halle didn’t want to put a price on their babies head and I can see how that might FEEL offensive.
But if one were to think RATIONALLY about the who matter, then the truth is that some pap some where is going to catch a photo of that baby and sell it for a good dollop of $$$. US law does not require photos of children to be blurred so its just a matter of time - unless Halle moves to France.
Personally, I think there’s nothing wrong in selling these photos and putting the money to good use in a charity of your choice. It’s that or let the paps make the money.
This simply isn’t a case of making a right or wrong choice but making the better or worse choice. I understand if people have a different opinion.
I would be interested to know though, how it can be a better choice to take the risk of some shlty pap, who might stick a camera RIGHT into the baby’s face and snapped a photo using a flash, and making money out of that horrid intrusion, rather then organising a photo shoot and directing that money made from those photos be sent to a charity of your choice.
I definitely hope that brad and angelina auction the photos of their twins to the highest respectable bidder and donate the funds to their favourite charity including, MIR, Save the Children fund, global Action for children, Medicins sans frontiere etc etc. etc. I so much like the thought of that money going to digging wells and saving lifes and educating children.
This may be me being a selfish fan once again, but I hope there are pictures of a lovely birthday get together for Angelina’s b-day. I really am curious.

Brad had a publicist and new crazy lies/rumors were circulated every week. When they were in Namibia there were so many that he had CindyG put out a long list and addressed them as lies one by one. So publicist or not the rumors/lies will continue. Brad and Angie are bread and butter revenue and as long as this continues rumors/lies will exist. That store Petit Tresor is killing its business in the long run as celebs wiil find somewhere else to shop due to privacy concerns.
In time all the rumors/lies are exposed as false.
What I find interesting is that there are articles today in which the owner says that they only leased the chateau for 3 MONTHS not three years which makes sense to me, for the summer for privacy before and after the birth of the babies and until Venice at the end of the summer.

About Forbes List, I dont understand why Aniston is always there when she has no power to get good roles in HW, she is given the same silly rom-com roles when we know for a fact that she has been auditioning or chasing after drama roles as well like The Lovely Bones.
I really think, they keep on including her just so they wont be accused of making a mistake of putting her on the cover as as the most powerful celeb in their cover, I think in 2003, I mean how could she be powerful more than Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts, or even her husband then Brad Pitt??? It baffles me up to now! I really think she is the most overrated celeb as to her stature in the movie industry, she is more of a TV star than a movie star!

Leasing for 3 MONTHS makes much more sense than leasing for 3 YEARS. Since Brad will start shooting “The Fighter” on September, after that, Angie will start shooting Atlas Shrugged. Then after that, Brad and Angie probably will work on other movies.
