OlderBrad Pitt’s Table for Two
Brad Pitt picks up a few pieces of contemporary “design art” furniture at the Design Miami/Basel fair held at the 1920s domed Markethalle in Basel, Switzerland on Tuesday.
The father-of-almost-six paid $293,000 for a hollow white marble rococo-style table by the Dutch designer Jeroen Verhoeven at the booth of the London-based Carpenters Workshop Gallery. The 4-foot-long “Cinderella Table,” from an edition of six, is hewn from a solid block of Carrara marble.
Mr. Pitt also ordered a rug made of aluminum thread from New York dealer Cristina Grajales, said director Elizabeth Murphy. The “Silver Sky” rug, created by Colombian designer Jorge Lizarazo and woven by the Colombian-based studio Hechizoo, will be priced at a rate of $175 per square foot.
Brad was also interested in a gold lacquer-coated Fiberglas sofa by Zaha Hadid, offered by London-based dealer Kenny Schachter at $300,000.

One of the criteria to be on the Forbes list is “BUZZ” an actor/actress can generate.
If you notice for the past few months, Huvane has been arranging all those photo ops for Aniston, those bikini pics in Mexico, those hotel, restaurant, pool side, club appearances. Huvane must be trying to get her into this power list.
I remember not long after Jen was on those dumb list like magazine covers, profitable actress etc, she announced her movie projects. I’m sure those lists were used for Huvane to negotiate pay, film funding etc.

I saw VF mag at Ralph. I live in south Cal.
But there was none at Barnes & Noble. They still have last month’s issue on the shelf . That means they are late in shipment.

anustin- i think it depends on the distribution. In souther Calif, Ralph (the grocery store), those weekly tabloids always come in Thursday. But at Barnes & Noble, those tabloid mag dont arrive until Saturday.
Pasetsky’s Cover Critique
This cover is TWISTED, STRANGE, SICK AND JUST PLAIN WEIRD.
Obviously, Shiloh sells for the weeklies or they wouldn’t keep putting this poor child on the cover of the magazines.
But this one is one of the most ridiculous covers I’ve seen.
The sad thing is that at least 300,000 people will actually decide to buy this issue and support the category’s Shiloh addiction.
Breaking News: This Just In
I just received an email from an internal meeting at OK magazine discussing the state of affairs at OK! What timing!
Apparently, the EIC is discussing this week’s cover and just everything in general:
“You can be so proud that, from now on, it will be unremarkable for Shiloh to be on a cover of a magazine, unremarkable to have Shiloh on the cover even though our competitors have done it several times, unremarkable to think that Shiloh can be on a cover every week and readers will still buy the magazine.”
“To those who are disappointed that we didn’t sell a lot of issues with Charlie Sheen’s wedding, especially with the amount of money we spent, it would break my heart if, in falling short of rate base, I in any way discouraged any of you from pursuing your personal goals of working at the number one celebrity weekly.”
“Together, Shiloh and OK will achieve a new milestone essential to our progress of OK Magazine, part of our perpetual duty to continue this disturbing yet profitable trend.”
“Now, on a personal note, when I was asked what it means to be a woman placing an innocent child on the cover of a national magazine, I always gave the same answer, that I was proud to be destroying this child’s life, but I was doing it because I thought I could sell the most copies. I’ll let you in on a little well-known secret.
Brad and Angelina haven’t been seen together for weeks.
So - there must be trouble.
Right?
Wrong!
He’s buying furniture for their new freakin home in France.
Angelina is about to give birth to twins any second. In Touch is really screwed if she gives birth in the next day or so.
Plus, In Touch is forgetting how much the reader likes Brad. Even when he left Jen for Angelina - they still liked him.
By adding the inset that Brad is seen with an Angie look-a-like, the reader will be turned off by this cover.
On another note, I’m totally over the hand to hair pose. It’s stupid, stupid, stupid. Can’t they find a new approach? Plus, Angie looks like she was cut and paste on the cover.
And the colors? I feel like I’m looking at the NY Mets’ official team guide.
In other beating a dead horse news, Nicole Richie is SO thin. No she’s not. I think she looks pretty good in that pic.
